We have a single car driveway in front of our house, that’s my spot. H parks out back on the street. It’s pretty wide open so when Lucy gets her license she’ll park there as well.
I wish we could pace over our tiny front lawn, like everyone else in our neighborhood has done, but there’s a utility pole in the center of it and they won’t move if
Both cars in the garage. We like to avoid hail in the summer and snow in the winter.
Seriously glad I have a garage when there is snow and hail! I have a 2 car garage and 1 car, so not only do I park in the garage, I park in a way that takes up more than half so there is plenty of room for people to get out on both sides, how's that for a flex lol. The rest of the garage is used for storing bikes, lawn stuff, and junk.
My neighbors on both sides have more than 2 cars and don't use their garages so there are cars everywhere here. In each driveway and the streets full. The only times it bothers me is in the winter when the car shades the sidewalk and it keeps the snow from melting so I have to go out and shovel. Or when I have more visitors than van park in my 2 car driveway-but that almost never happens.

2 car garage, 2 cars parked in it.
All of the homes in my neighborhood have 2 car garages and double driveways, and some of them still park in the street. Many of our neighbors also use garage for storage.

We have a 2 car attached garage. I park in the garage. DH drives a big truck that doesn’t fit, so he parks in our driveway, much to the chagrin of some random neighbor. DH was on our HOA board and a neighbor emailed about “all the big pickup trucks parked in driveways bringing down the value of the neighborhood”. Lol. For reference, DH drives a 2022 “fancy” truck that cost a lot of money. He keeps it clean and it’s very nice, not some old rusted out piece of junk.
In the alley behind our rowhouse, parallel to our fence. Technically we have a garage but between the size and the angle it would be nearly impossible to park anything larger than a tiny European compact car in there.
We could park out front but we're on a fairly busy street and cars have been hit. We tell guests to park on the side street.
I will never understand people who fill their garage up with crap, and put their most valuable asset besides their house outside. By "crap" i dont mean thwy are using their space for something else, i mean full of boxes they never unpacked, or random junk, that sort of thing.
This. I regularly purge crap in order to park in the garage. Parking in a garage is so not overrated. I can't imagine having a garage and not doing it.
ETA: Everyone in my neighborhood has a driveway and 2 car garage and I do get fairly annoyed dodging parked cars in the street when there should be ample space on your property.
Since a lot of people seem to be annoyed by parking situations, I'm just wondering, where do you park and what are your options?
I have a 2 car garage but don't park in it. It's where our home gym is set up on one half and the other is set up for DS to be able to work on his car. My driveway is three cars wide and 2 cars deep, so we just park there. When exH lived her, he parked his truck in the driveway and his work van in the street, but wouldn't let either of our daughters park in the driveway, it was such a weird flex.
My parents are divorced and when I lived with my dad as a teen and had a car, he would never let me park it in the driveway. Luckily I lived in a neighborhood so there was plenty of parking in front of my house, but it was still weird. I think it was because my mom bought me the car and he was threatened by that in some way. Weird.
Knowing my exH, I'd bet that had something to do with it.
We have a fairly shallow driveway. It’s a rarity in the city! I had never had one before, even as a child, and only a few houses on our block have them.
The businesses at top of our block share a parking lot (another rarity) so parking isn’t too bad here even though you can only do it on one side of the road.
We share a driveway and a garage with the house next door, so we can fit one car in the garage and one car behind that in the driveway. We have 4 cars (2 classic, 2 daily drivers), so we have one classic in the garage, H's daily behind it in the driveway, I park my daily on the street, and then we keep the other classic in the IL's barn inside a bubble.

Our garage is huge - you could probably fit 3 cars in it. But it is set back kind of behind the house and not attached, so we usually just park in the driveway. It's easier to get in the front door instead of walking back around the house from the garage area. We only put cars in the garage when we're expecting a lot of snow and don't want to deal with it. Otherwise, it's kind of a wide open man cave hang out spot. We've got a futon and a TV out there, a beer fridge, etc. Plus the basics like bikes and outdoor toys.
In the driveway. We have a 2-car garage and 3 cars. The classic MGB lives on the far side of the garage and everything that belongs in a shed-- which is prohibited by the HOA-- fills the rest--
2 massive trash barrels and a third with bird seed. A riding mower A large 2-stage snow blower A smallish chest freezer Shelves for pantry overflow A Weber grille Garden tools A couple cooler with case of drinks stacked on and next to it.

The 2 car garage is filled w boxes from our recent moves.
The driveway could fit both of our cars ('22 Bronco, '12 Escape) but it would be a TIGHT fit. One car gets the driveway and the other gets street parking.
We live in a townhouse community, so I park in our designated parking spot right in front of our house. We do not have a garage.
Last time I had a garage was over a decade ago, but we did park both cars in it.
I HATE street parking in places where people have garages and/or driveways. It just creates sight and space hazards.
We live on a fairly narrow street so I actually prefer when people park on the street. It slows the drivers down since you can't fit two cars through if cars are parked on both sides. But we also have sidewalks so there generally isn't an issue with seeing pedestrians (except for the inevitable person who insists on running or walking in the street rather than on the sidewalk).

I don't have a garage, I park on some ruts in my lawn. I think at one point it was a gravel driveway, but the lawn has grown into it for the most part with the exception of where the dirt ruts are. If I pull all the way up to my side steps I can fit two cars single file. We have a winter overnight parking ban in my city, so no overnight street parking from November to mid April.
I am planning on building a garage and real driveway in the future. I hate parking outside, especially in the winter.

When our garage is empty (a requirement of mine in the winter) we park our commuter cars in the two stall garage and our third vehicle off to the side of the garage doors in the driveway. Otherwise we park three across in our driveway. thankfully we have a very large driveway as DS will be adding a 4th vehicle this winter.
We have a 3 car garage and a 3 car-wide driveway. We also have 3 teen drivers though 1 is away at college.
On a day to day basis, we park MH's 2 cars in the garage (his daily driver and his "fun" car that he works on). We can fit in 3-4 of our cars there, but only do that for bad weather (hail usually). We normally use the rest of the garage for our gym and lawn storage stuff (no shed).
I, along with 2 of the teens, park in the driveway. That includes the college student so we generally leave an open spot for MH to pull out of the garage there.
The other teen parks on the street.
Every house in my neighborhood has at least a 2 car garage and there's still SO MUCH street parking. For big families, I get it. I internally side-eye the others. But- it's allowed per our HOA so...nothing to do about it.

We have a two car garage but all our cars are in the driveway (which is designed to fit 3 across). We do too much coming and going with 3 drivers so using the garage would be impossible bc of cars shifting spots. Plus, 2 of the 3 cars are big and have trouble fitting. Once it starts snowing one lucky person might get to use the garage to avoid brushing off the car.

I have a 3 car garage in the alley behind our house but we don't park in it. Only two of the three garage doors were motorized, and both of them are broken and need replaced. It has not been a high priority since we can park out front with no problem. Of course, now it's getting taken over with junk and yard toys and even if we did fix the doors, we'd have to clean it up majorly in order to park in it.

Garage! I also can’t abide the thought of having a garage and parking outside, although while DH could park his car in the garage, he often parks in the driveway. He doesn’t like squeezing out next to the wall. I took the good side.
I park in the garage - it could definitely be a 2 car garage but we have a canoe, DH's toolboxes and a giant safe among other things. So DH parks in the driveway. I do like that our garage and driveway are a little larger, especially because our house was built in the 1950's.
Garage. Per subdivision rules, you can’t leave vehicles on the driveway overnight long-term unless you meet certain rules with your garage, such as having a certain amount of your garage space already filled with other vehicles.
Probably due to snow/ice and our suburban area layout, pretty much everyone I know parks in their garage unless they have an extra vehicle that won’t fit that needs to stay on the driveway.

H and I both park in the driveway. We have a 1.5 car garage (unattached) and it's behind the house. It's filled with stuff (grill, lawn mower and other garden tools, snow blower, H's golf clubs, our bikes, a workbench and tools, an extra fridge etc.) Our drive way is long and narrow (1 car width and we could probably fit 4-5 cars, if we opened the gate across the driveway)
Lots of people park on the street in our neighborhood. I live in the city. There are a lot of renters and most of the houses are at least 2 units, so I assume one tenant gets driveway privilege with their rent. Our street has alternate side parking that switches on Mon/Thurs evenings.
We have a 2 car garage that also has room for H's work bench area. If he has work to do on a vehicle then one has to come out. We have storage up above as well as a room behind it for odd ball items. When DS1 & 2 lived at home they both had vehicles so H took down a tree and extended our driveway on one side with gravel to allow space for them to park and us to get out in the morning. We also live in the country so we have a ton of yard space to be able to do this.
In town, people park on the road in the summer but parking on the street is banned from Nov 1 - May 15 to allow for snow plows to clean the streets at night, so they have to park on the sidewalk or in their front yards. Some years snow kind of takes over (we average like 250" a winter) and space becomes a hot commodity. I hear people at work who are arguing with their neighbors about where to park as winter wears on....

We have two cars. Main parking spot is our one-car carport (no garage). We park the second car on the street, the spot in front of our house is almost always available but if not, plenty more parking spots elsewhere.
