Someone anonymously sent me a bag of gummy candy in the shape of dicks.
My first thought was holy shit. Someone from the of place figure out who I am irl and my address. This was not long after that actually happened to someone who posted here.
Then I found out, by deep diving into investigating how it landed on my doorstep that it was one of my jokester friends being a jokester.
All that to say, I would try to find out somehow if the guy was mentally stable before asking him wth is up with the flowers. I’d stay far away if he is not well. And tell him that you are flattered that he has been thinking of you all these years, but you are not interested.

You confirmed the name (first, last) with the florist but did they confirm that was the name for billing? The name on the credit card? Even if they get weird with releasing customer details they can say yes or no if the sender name matches the payment name.
And did they leave any contact info with the florist? Can the florist say that the person who received the flowers stated that these may have been sent in error? Because that seems to be the prevailing theory around here. It’s not too odd for a delivery place like a florist to follow-up with a customer if an error is reported.

FWIW, if "I'll never forget your kindness and help making a dream come true!" is a come on, I have been totally missing signs for years from different people who want to get with me.

So both of our names are fairly unique. First and last. I cannot even begin to think of who would bother sending me flowers under his name. So the one thing that I'm pretty sure of at this point is he sent them and they were meant to go to me. I just don't know WHY lol
I will never forget your kind of ass. Help making my dream come true?
It was practically poetry!💥
You just can't count on anyone to do their damned job right anymore! .........
I don't know. I'm definitely a little skeptical about random bouquets from men who aren't obligated, though. I'm sorry if I missed it earlier in the thread- what kind of flowers are they?
Sorry if I missed this, but what kind of flowers were they? If they were the type that your boss might get you for your birthday (I suck at flowers names, but you know….pretty but generic?) then I’d be less creeped out. Red roses, for sure creeped out.
Flowers are fucking expensive. Even generic ones. Especially to have delivered. Especially for someone who lives in his mom’s basement.
Since it sounds like you are fairly familiar with the florist, I agree with suggestions to circle back to them. “I’m sure you guys see this a lot, but I have no idea why this person sent me flowers, and I’m not sure if I should be creeped out not. Any insight?” They might be able to at least give you an idea if he seemed normal or creepy, or if this kind of thing is usually innocent or is very weird.

this!!! 100000% would not be able to leave this alone and this seems like the safest way to proceed.

How the fuck does one leave this alone!?!? Like, I see that answer in this thread multiple times, and I just know I don’t have the self-control for that.
But I guess I’m ending up on Dateline faster than the rest of you.

Just try not to light up too many rooms. It’ll even out!
