Update: H and I just went and voted early! babsbunny - I also skipped the uncontested races with just Republicans running.
Funny little story: The first place we went had a 30 min wait so we left and went to a place a few miles away with 0 wait. At the new place, the poll worker checking H in was Jimmy King, an old Michigan basketball* player and H is a huge Michigan fan so he was fan girling out. The guy was there with his mom and seemed tickled that H knew who he was and had been at games when he'd played. They took a selfie together and H was very excited haha. So glad the first place had a wait!

Early voted this morning! The election commission was busier than I’ve ever seen it. There was a group of people (not sure who or what they were affiliated with) that were holding “Thank you for voting” signs as well as balloons and were cheering for everyone as they left the parking lot.
While waiting in line, I saw two fresh 18-year-olds (they mentioned they just recently turned 18) getting registered to vote for the first time ❤️ And I saw another very young voter having what looked to be her dad taking pictures of her putting her mail-in ballot in the box.
We early voted on Thursday— the first day in MD. We were in and out quickly. Voted for Harris, Alsobrooks, and for the MD constitutional amendment protecting a woman’s right to choose. 💙💙
My ballot is mostly filled out. I still need to look into a position between 2 Rs before I mail it off. In pre trump times I just wouldn't vote for that position. Now I need to know who is the crazy trumper and who is just an R so maybe my city won't end up with a evil awful asshole, just a regular asshole. #redcityproblems

ETA: talked to DS(8) about the importance of voting while I was researching & voting for the last few positions. He walked to the mailbox with me and mailed my ballot for me.
Voted with my 18 yo in the red exurbs of our county. Saw more people clearly planning to vote for Harris (converse, pearls, Ruth shirts, etc) than I expected though the parking lot was full of GQP. Fingers crossed!

Early voting opened today in NJ, so we went tonight! H and I got to our polling place and one of the poll workers was both of our second grade teacher, who was one of our favorite teachers and people ever! She came running over to hug both of us and catch up, adding to the excitement! And we all know we’re on the same side, so that is awesome (obviously we said nothing on the grounds, we just know each others politics already).
Took my DD along and she witnessed her mom vote for an Indian American woman for POTUS!! I'm choosing to focus on that. What a great country we live in!
I voted yesterday! There was no line so we were in and out quickly - maybe 10 minutes. I am looking forward to being an election judge on election day!
My H and I voted on Friday. Early voting is at the mall, and they used three closed small stores and you walked through them at each step. It was so well-organized and easy to figure out. And instead of verbal or written directions on how to put your ballot into the security envelope, there was a screen in every single booth showing a quick loop of someone folding the ballot and putting it in the folder, then envelope, then sealing the envelope. Hooray for accessibility!

Voted this morning! I was planning to vote sometime during this week but I was on a run and saw there was no line at the early voting place so I ran right in lol.

We dropped off our mail in ballots on the first day of early voting in Florida last week! The line was SO long (but luckily we skipped the line to drop off our ballots!)
MH and I were both off today so we went and voted. The polling place in my dark blue city was packed! They said they'd already had well over 1,000 people just today.
I hate to miss voting on election day but this was easier for him and for once we have a competitive Senate race and important ballot measures.
I voted yesterday. Early voting in NY opened up on Saturday, so I gave it a few days. Small town living - all told, it took less than 25 minutes from the time I left my house to getting home. About 15 people in front of me in line and the poll worker was thanking everyone for being patient - I mean, I truly waited no more than 15 minutes to actually vote and I think it was closer to 10. Patience wasn't even an issue! lol. And my vet was in line about 10 people behind me.
Done! DH randomly ran out and voted during the afternoon without me, I assumed we'd go together one evening. So he encouraged me to run over after dinner and get my vote in helpful since I'm feeling discouraged today thanks to stupid social media lol

I voted! It was a relief. I’m going to remember our celebration when Biden/Harris was elected, our tears of joy when Kamala was sworn in as the first female Vice President and I’m going to manifest hope that we will be repeating that for Kamala as our first female President soon!
Seriously, go watch old videos of it to combat your anxiety. It was dark days and people came out dancing in the streets with their Covid masks on and were so happy!

If you are in a swing state, please don’t wait until Election Day. I’m hearing lots of stories in GA of people who checked a few weeks ago and registration was active and they go to vote and have issues.
Also, keep talking to people about voting. People might not realize they are still registered and it’s easy to check online. In states where they can still register, people may not realize they are eligible, like where people with felonies are now allowed to vote.
I voted last week when I was at the county clerk's office for poll worker training.
Yesterday I worked the polls. Business was steady all day, averaging 85 people an hour. The county clerk said we're on track to break records this year - about 15% of eligible voters have already voted in person, and another 15% had requested mail ballots. I'm working next Tuesday, too - will be interesting to see what turnout is like.

100% I love the enthusiasm around voting on election day but it makes me sooo nervous!
Not yet, I have my absentee ballot filled out but H doesn't. He likes to copy the back of mine with the judges and school board etc I've set him a deadline of Sunday night and both ballots are on the kitchen table. Once he does his I'll drop them in the box at the clerks office.
Updating, I turned our ballots in on Friday. We are in Michigan, fingers crossed!
Update: I voted early in Michigan today and I am bummed because I did not get the werewolf sticker. They ran out in the first day.
When I dropped off my absentee ballot on Monday, they told me I could take extra stickers. If you’re not creeped out by the idea of giving an internet stranger your address, I’d be happy to mail you a werewolf.
Just changed my poll response from "not yet" to "I voted." Straight blue down the ticket plus no on ammendments/resolutions that would disproportionately raise taxes on lower income people.
The location I went to was very well staffed, which was good because not only was there zero wait time, there were also plenty of very calm people available to sooth an irate white female who was doing her damndest to cause a scene. Don't @ me - I am also a white female.
She was insisting that she saw someone vote twice. Apparently this person was in line behind her. My first thought was, "How would you know they've been here twice unless you have also been here twice?"
Fortunately, I kept my mouth shut and let the professionals diffuse the situation. She did not get the fight she was looking for and left in a huff.
Major props to the volunteers. Learning how to diffuse a karen is now on my bucket list.
