I don't have anyone to be mad at or not speak to because I don't know a single person who is willing to admit they voted for him. I almost wish I had that channel. Instead, everyone I love is devastated and I hurt for them more than myself.

@@forced pregnancy and increase in female mortality.
Even more lax on guns to the point there won't be laws.
@@ A reversal of the Me Too movement and women won't be believed. I'm already starting to see posts shaming girls for the clothing they wear. So no accountability or consequences for men and the women will continue to shoulder all the burden and blame.
The rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer which will lead to less education and the dumb masses will continue to vote against their best interest repeating a cycle that gets continuously worse (if we even have the right to vote anymore).
The environment will get worse and cause WWIII over resources / the fact the U.S. does nothing about it / makes the problem worse.
Specific things: 1. Climate change will pass the point of no return 2. Obergefell will be overturned 3. Ukraine will fall to Russia 4. Israel will ramp up its genocide of Palestinians.

The complete dismantling of public education. As the "easy" states fall, the typically strong union states will follow because people will fight against paying for "other" kids. The divide between haves and have nots will widen.
Women will lose the right to vote. Fuck, voting won't matter anyway, but I truly think women will lose even the semblance of autonomy and freedom.
I honestly don't know, but we just cooked ourselves. Besides all the other important issues in this thread, we really needed to make inroads on climate preservation. Maybe the 400% tariffs he's promised will help*.
Secondarily, we're going to see a massive cut in FEMA, so all these people in areas that voted for him are going to whine even harder that they're being forgotten as the storms ramp up. The "find out" stage is going to be hard for them.

*Don't come for me, it was a joke.
But they will just blame big government and the swamp and won't have any intellectual capacity to realize that trump & Co are dismantling the government.

It doesn't matter what they think. Those areas are going to hurt far beyond the little annoyances they're dealing with now (which are pretty catastrophic). Insurance companies are going to continue to pull out of those areas too. What we're going to see is an even more pronounced climate migration as areas *can't* be rebuilt.
My biggest fear is that we will wind up a communist country with a dictator in charge. This sounds extreme but I don't think its out of the realm of possibility.
On a personal note, I fear I will never have grandchildren. My son and his wife have already said, if he wins they will peddle back their plans to start a family out of fear of what will be left for their kids.
The next enemy to be drilled into people's tiny little brains will be their liberal neighbors. There will be an "election" in 2028. That man will write every presidential order that is suggested to him and have zero accountability for them.
I want Biden to say fuck you and write a bunch of EOs...forgive all student loans, or whatever, that will be done and Trump has to been years trying to fix.
I'm scared my daughters will be victims of sexual assault and be forced to carry a baby to term. I'm scared that my LGBTQ+ students will be closeted again. I'm afraid that my teaching job will become government propaganda. I'm terrified of war and climate change. I worry for my sister's safety, as she's an abortion provider.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
There are two things that seem to have been memory-holed but keep me up at night:
1. Further erosion of checks and balances. When Trump first got in, he nominated shitty people of course but most were more or less “mainstream” shitheads and we went through the normal cabinet secretary approval process.
By the end of the administration however, the he mainstream shitheads had left and were being replaced by weirder and weirder people with sketchier resumes. But because the Dems controlled the senate, he wasn’t even bothering with confirmation. We just had all these “acting” secretaries, who he could fire for any reason and who never had to stand up to serious scrutiny but yet had access to everything and tremendous power.
I fear that. Just a bunch of lunatics who could never get senate confirmation like Musk and RFK bowing to Trump while looting the government and destroying everything. Even with a republican controlled senate, there’s no incentive to actually go through normal procedure. GOP senators facing reelection don’t have to make unpopular decisions.
2. During the BLM protests in DC in 2020, things got really fucking weird here, like the city was being used as an experiment for broader scale terror. Two thing stand out. The way Trump had the military send low flying helicopters to scare, traumatize, and break up protests. And the secret militia he deployed. The men in uniform patrolling the streets that were not cops, or National Guard, or military. It was never really clear who they were or how they got there, just a couple articles about them being connected to Bill Barr. Maybe they belonged to an agency but they could have been some private militia. It wasn’t clear. Nobody knew if they had any power to arrest people or if they were obligated to follow their orders.
These men still haunt me to this day. We will see more of this, a lot more of this.
I am terrified for the ripple effect this is going to have around the world. It’s going to be bad in the US, but it’s also going to hurt people who had no choice in the matter.
I'm afraid Trump will not leave the White House alive, ever.
I'm afraid term limits will be abolished if he outlives this upcoming term.
I'm afraid for friends who are self employed / don't have access to employer-provided health insurance plans. They will struggle to afford health insurance if the ACA is repealed.
I'm afraid for friends who have preexisting conditions, which may no longer be covered if the ACA is repealed.
I'm afraid women will suffer personal, health, professional - and all other areas of our lives - setbacks related to lack of bodily autonomy. Some of us will die.
I don't know how a national abortion ban would interplay with states that have already enshrined abortion access in state law, etc., as my state has. But it's terrifying to think about.
I'm afraid of how many SCOTUS justices he could appoint, and how permanent that shift in our judiciary could be.
I was already afraid of the trajectory we're on with unfettered access to guns, and I know nothing will be done about it in this administration.

ESF those guys were sketchy AF and I remember being very uncomfortable with their lack of identification despite claims that they were either feds or government contractors.
I am fearful for my ASD kiddo and what their future looks like.

Won't federal law supercede state law/constitutions?
Omg, he’s going to pardon all the January 6th people, isn’t he? I’m assuming those were federal charges. Did any have state charges for any part of it? I think some R voters are going to be mad about that… but you know, they never care until the leopards eat their faces.
