if you know that you'll eat what's in front of you (like most of us), it may be easier to portion things out before you begin eating.
The whole point of Five Guys fries is that they give you the little container and then a giant ass scoop of them on top and into the bag.
Maybe the nutrition information takes into account the generous extra scoopage. Have you thought to inquire about that or what the actual serving size is?
I did not and will not inquire. I know the caloric listing is wrong, based on what I was served the last 3 times. I used to go to 5 guys over a year ago and I know it's their standard to scoop extra. But like I mentioned, the last three times were different. It was more than double ADDED to the filled cup. Basically it was the cup times 3 and a little extra.
Seriously? It took me 25 seconds to read this thread and then google the nutrition information and find out that they consider 1 serving to be half of a regular order of fries (approximately 122 g if you want to weigh it) - and that half of a regular order is 310 calories. Hence, your "small" fries is actually 2 servings and that accounts for the 600+ calories. That you want to have for a snack. Three times a week. And then blame the restaurant.
I just can't believe you live somewhere where you can get In N Out Burger and you're eating Five Guys three times in a week.
In N Out would require a 55 minute wait in line and 3 gallons of gas if going through the drive thru. Or you can park a mile away and walk in.
Maybe you should park the mile away and walk. At least you would get some exercise before you consume what most would consider a meal's worth of calories in a "snack."

Maybe you should spend another 25 seconds re-reading my post. Reading comprehension FAIL! I stated it was over 600 calories. That is what it said on the menu board. And yes, I do blame the restaurant for not following required rules. They are actually breaking code and could get violated!
half yes, half no. I really did get the oversized fries and am truely disappointed that they don't stick to the right portion that THEY set. People who don't know any better might think if they split that fry, it's 300 something calories when in fact it had to be over 600 calories for only 1/2 the order.
