I didn't know! Where have I been? Hugs. My mom kept my dads last name when they divorced, until she was remarried. She was a teacher and all the kids obviously knew her by my dads last name, plus my brother and I had the same last name.

Nope. C is very involved w leadership in 4h and there is a small delegation of 4h kids from here going. She will go to the next one in 4 years after his stupid ass is out of office.
WHAT!? I'm not an expert, but that sounds excessive. I had it as a teen, didn't thrown anything away. I'd wash everything in hot, hot water, but that's about it. Obviously treat her, but I wouldn't throw anything away. Hope it clears up soon.
That's what I said! I'm not throwing her clothes away, dude! Yeah it's a pain. I asked about sports (volleyball) and he said she should be good to go if she wears a thermal or something under her uniform as an added barrier.
I started her on the anti fungal cream and then my essential oil friend brought some samples over that she swears will work. I doubt it but I figure it can't hurt to throw some on there. Ugh. Ringworm.

Because nothing else can go wrong, K has motherfucking ringworm. It started as a few small patches on her chest that I thought were ant bites or something. Then the next morning she had a few on her stomach. Then one on her arm. Today she got one next to her mouth so I high tailed it to the doc and he said it is ringworm. They're fairly small, the biggest is maybe dime sized? The rest are like mosquito bite sized. Usually when I've seen it on people they only have one and it's larger.
Any experience w this? Her doc said her clothing, bedding, towels, etc need to all be washed in hot water every day until they're gone and it can take a few weeks! He said he would throw the clothes away after, wtf?

We received ours for free from an older couple at church who were getting a new one. I've seen them for free often on Craigslist. Make sure you get it tuned as soon as you get it, it costs about 150-200 in my area. We started with a keyboard when the girls first started lessons, which is what their piano teacher suggested before committing to a big piano.

I understand the environmental issues w leaving your car idling, but in the summer time here it's necessary to start the car 5 mins before you go somewhere to cool it down a bit. When it's 120 degrees outside it's almost 200 degrees in the car and I'm not putting my kids in that. I do use reflective shades but when it's that hot out they do nothing for the temp in the car. I try not to go many places when it's that hot but sometimes can't avoid it.

I use the happy planner. I was doing that kid interview going around on fb and K answered the question "what is my favorite thing to do?" With "write in your calendar thingy" 😂

I'm glad it was a nice day!
We took care of the goats and rabbits all morning, then Cambria had to go to a 4h training at the fairgrounds. Then the older two had volleyball practice and they are showering now to get ready to go to a Christmas tree bonfire at a friends house. Fun!
You're in CA, right? The relevant laws tend to heavily favor renters. Start blowing up the phone lines for code enforcement and environmental health services on Monday so you can build your case that the place is uninhabitable.
Yes I am, I am planning on calling them on Monday. I think I've been pointed in the right direction to start taking action against them.
Another idea would be to see if the landlord would agre to reimburse you for the repairs. You may be rolling the dice to a certain degree but something to consider so as to not wait for him to complete it and to ensure the repairs were completed by a legit company. This would allow you to get the repairs fixed and to deal with the money issue after.
It is something to consider. I would make sure everything is in writing and both agree to every step of the process. I.e. agree to the company, the repairs to be completed and the estimated amount. If they fail to pay you will be able to sue them which may be some time but you will not worry about having to find a place or wait to for the repairs to be completed.
Do you have any family that can take a look? See if they can help trying to re-route the water way from the damaged areas of the roof for the time being?
I am sorry.
Yeah I tried that one. I told them I would be willing to take care of some things and turn in receipts and they said, "no, we are concerned that you'll spend too much. Just let us know and we will send the handyman." Guys. The "handyman" is so incompetent. He isn't licensed or anything, he's just a guy who thinks replacing switch plates is the fix for everything. "Oh, the dining room light blows bulbs? Let me replace the switch plate. That'll fix it." No, no it won't. They won't hire actual companies (tree trimming, roofers, exterminators, electricians) they just try to find cheap guys to do the work.
I did re-route the water as best as I can, but it still comes in to the bathroom through the roof. It was pouring into a light fixture so I taped a sheet of plastic under the leak and funneled the water into the sink. But it's still damaging the roof/ceiling and now that whole wall is covered in mold. And I just discovered more water seeping through the wall of a closet and the whole carpeted closet floor is soaking, so I can't imagine what's lurking there.
Thankfully the rooms w water damage are at the back of the house away from the kids rooms and they don't have a need to go back there. It's the laundry room, 2nd bathroom, and an extra room/office.

Ugh, I'm sorry. Definitely sounds like a sinus infection. I had the worst one of my life about a month ago. Go to urgent care! I hope you feel better asap.
I would take a newspaper with the date, write your name on it and set it next to the mushroom (and mold and other problems) and take a picture. Just to be on the safe side. Because your landlord sounds like an extra douchy person and I wouldn't take any changes.
This is not legal advice, just what I'd probably do: give notice and include a list of absolutely everything that's wrong, take pictures of everything, move out, and dare them to come after me in small claims court for the remainder of the lease. I'd be willing to gamble that a picture of a fucking mushroom growing out the ceiling would convince a small claims judge taht the premises were uninhabitable and that breaking the lease was therefore justified.
Yeah I just walked through and took pics of everything. There is a ton of new mold that popped up overnight near the FUCKING MUSHROOM. I'm compiling a list of everything and I have a file in my phone of all the texts I've sent him since November. I'm so grossed out. Fuck those people.

YOU GUYS THERE IS A LITERAL FUCKING MUSHROOM GROWING OUT OF MY BATHROOM CEILING. I went to check on the leaks and take pics. This happened overnight. What. The. Fuck.
Unless you're law enforcement, I really don't know why you should be allowed to pack a gun WITH bullets in this day and age. When is this madness going to stop?
Yeah, this is crazy to me. I didn't know you could do that.
