Patsy Baloney Just sew the patch on over the stain, lol
I wish! Of course it’s on an open part of the uniform right up front. I was joking with my coleader that the store staff must have been eating her leftover sesame chicken or hot wing lunch while stocking to leave these kinds of stains. Someone give this gal a wet nap.
The word you’re looking for is moron! 🤣 I thought I’d just whip through them like I have my leader vest and my Dd’s vests/smocks, but it turns out I care a lot about other kids’ vests more than I do mine and my daughter’s.
Ha ha! This made me laugh out loud. I have only had to worry about sewing my own kid's (BSA) patches for a couple months now and I am in awe of someone who offered to do a bunch. She just got awarded two patches on Monday and one goes on each of her uniform pockets, so there will be sewing stress in my house this weekend. But one is her first rank patch that she has earned since she crossed over so that is exciting! I am not really a sewer so I do everything by hand - I hope you have a machine to help you at least.
Yes, thankfully I have a machine. I’m not particularly good and basically only learned to use it for badges. I can’t do it by hand. Too many broken needles and poked fingers.
My 3 year old dog, who is normally my best boy, was being terrible last night and causing all kinds of chaos. So I sat him down to have a chat about his behavior. As I was explaining things to him, he leaned in to me and gave me his paw to hold. I'm pretty sure he was doing his best to manipulate me.
I leave in 3 days. I'm mostly packed, but in no way am I actually ready! I'm nervous, but hopefully everything will go smoothly.
I've worn a Dexcom continuous glucose monitor since January, but I finally put one on by myself last night. I'll have to on my trip, so I figured I'd better do a trial run. The FDA says to only put them on the back of your upper arm, but how I'm supposed to do that by myself I'll never understand, so it's on the front/side of my arm, hopefully it behaves and works like it's supposed to.
Lift your arm over your head and it’s easy to get to
DD and I were talking about her specials grades today and I discovered her school library has a actual physical card catalog still. They are attempting to teach the kids how to use it, I didn't think libraries has actual card catalogs anymore I thought it was all online.
I don't see the value in teaching this. I don't know how to change a typewriter ribbon. I don't know how to churn butter. I don't know how to hitch a horse to a plow.
It's not a bad thing to know these are our history that got us here, but we don't need regular firsthand knowledge.
Eta around 90 my elementary school got a computer catalog. Their goal was to prepare us for a computer future. I remember lessons about using fields and drop downs.
