Eh it's possible. I'm tempted to say no just because my youngest will be 12 by then (crazy thought) and I doubt I'll be wanting to start over at that point but you never know.

I had my first at 28, and 2nd at 31. While I don't think its odd for people to have kids at that age, for me, starting over 12 years later is pretty much the last thing I'd want.
I used to think it was no big deal. Then a very good friend of mine went into labor at 27 weeks, alone, in a city far from home. There were awful complications due to mom's age, and both she and the baby almost died. Thankfully, they both made it and are healthy and happy today. After seeing that, I'm sorry to say that I would not recommend it unless you really had no other choice.
No. I'm 41 and now that both boys are in school full-time, I am finally starting to enjoy my life a little.
lol, I love that you said this. I know when the twins are in kindergarten and I have the day to exercise, cook, bake, craft--write and paint and knit, etc., as well as cleaning and running errands that I will definitely be enjoying life more.
Clearly, it's just because I'm old, but I'm trying to figure out what awful complications solely due to mom's age could cause her to deliver at 27 weeks? It's been 6 years since I was pregnant, so maybe I'm just forgetting the specifics (or blocking them, since I would, in fact, like to have another child.)

And one of my friends almost died from completely unexpected complications and early labor at 24. She was healthy and had no risk factors.
Life has no guarentees. Medical care is good now, so for the most part we forget that pregnancy and childbirth can be dangerous.
I can't have kids and never will, but if I were, I don't think age would stop me.

Probably.
I'm 38 now and just had our first. I mean, I'd like to have a second sooner than that, but I wouldn't rule out it happening a little later than expected.
If I accidentally got pregnant I would roll with it and probably get excited about it over time. No fucking way would I plan a pregnancy at that age though!
I think the "I had my kids at 28 & 30 and I'm done" answer is very different than the "I didn't start my family until I was 36 and we'd like two + kids" answer. If I was healthy and able to take care of another, absolutely.

no judgment of anyone who is up for that, if you are ready to add to your family and can afford to do so, go for it. my lazy ass wouldn't be able to handle it.
With circumstances as they are now, I seriously doubt it. If all goes well, this baby will be born after I turn 34 and we'll be two and done. I wouldn't rule it out completely if circumstances were different, but due to the risks to mom and baby associated with with pregnancy at advancing ages (as well as other factors-- money, energy level, wanting to be free to travel in retirement, etc), I would be really reluctant to have a kid at 43.

Welp, I'm getting married and will be starting to try 2 months before my 38th bday so that doesn't seem so insane to me. But I could see how if you'd had a raised some kids while younger that it would seem crazy. I have a friend who is 44 with an 21yr old, a 5 yr old and 2 yr old (second marriage). She says she doesn't feel much older as a mom than she did with her first.

Well considering I am newly single with no kids, if I want any, this is probably a reality for me. I am not even ready to date yet, but when I am, I have to find a man, get married, and then have a first. That is a lot to do, and I am already 33.
