I am 43. And no. No I would not. If I had unlimited resources and someone to clean my house/cook my food and a reliable babysitter/nanny I MIGHT consider it.
What the what? Gwen is 43? She looks amaze! If I had that kind of money---yes---BUT I would only do it if I could get pregnant with my own eggs that I would have had extracted at a younger age (if I had her means I would have done this, no doubt).
Well, I'll turn 38 the day before this one is born (unless she goes before the scheduled c-section). We aren't planning a third, so I probably won't.
But I was lucky enough to find the person I wanted to marry before age 30. If I had been 38 instead when we met, I can see trying at 43. I had my first just before my 35th birthday and I was the second youngest in our mother's group (of all first time moms).
The idea of me having a kid at 23 sounds more impossible than 43.
I wouldn't do it personally, but i don't see the big deal. She is in great shape, great health, and has a wealth of financial support....so she can hire nannies, any help she needs, etc.
