@gypsy, it was ssljlm or whoever, I think. Also MaudGonne.
Some of Jack's clothes can be kind of annoying, I think, to him; so when we're at the end of the laundry I'll often put him in a sleeper instead of the uncomfortable clothes he has left. If that makes sense.
Ok, this makes sense.
Otherwise, I was like - um, can't you just set that dud aside and get another?
But sometimes there are less options.
Like today, I had to drive home and grab clean underwear because I stayed over at BF's and did not plan ahead.
I wore the equivalent home - some cropped yoga pants.
It never even occurred to me that a onesie was not an appropriate summer outfit until our DCP last summer asked me to send him in shorts. Oops.
It's not?
I think it was because he kept getting sand in his diaper and it made him (understandably) pissy. But I took it as a mom fail that I should have known shit like that. FTM guilt.

I will admit that I think it is weird to take your 1+ year old out in just a sleeper. But I never put shoes on my babies when it was hot and think a onsie is acceptable as well. So I guess I'm an asshole and inconsistent.
I don't think I've ever taken my kid out in JUST a onesie but I give no fucks if someone does. I discovered those rompers last year and he lived in those, basically a onesie with shorts. I'm already stocking up for this summer.

I am PISSED that Leo is sizing out of these things. Ain't nobody got time for two pieces of clothing in the summer.
I rarely do/did this. After he passed out of the newborn stage, we pretty much always put him in clothes, albeit comfy ones, for the day. H and I have always loved putting him in silly outfits.
But I definitely don't judge others for putting their kiddos in sleepers. Like PP said, its called a Sleep n Play. They're comfy, cheap and washable.

I feel like Prince G will bring back the ROMPERS! Maybe in more sizes??? But I think this will be the last summer for us. I'm not finding much past 18-24 month. *cries*

Rompers for life! My son is going to live in them this summer, they are adorable.
I stopped putting DS in sleepers during the day when he started walking.
I love putting him in onesies because I like squishing his fat rolls. Someone should probably judge me for that.
(And no, I don't judge anyone for how they dress their kids. My kids are barely put together when we leave the house. I consider it a victory if both of them have pants, a shirt, and socks on. Wait. I do judge headbands with giant flowers.)
Absolutely everything regarding children has become judge worthy. It really is exhausting sometimes.
I can't imagine why I would care if someone else's baby was in a sleeper all day. It's comfortable and easy. And it's a baby. Comfort is the main concern for him.
I was such an insecure FTM that I dressed my kid in actual clothes every day. Next time around it will definitely not be a priority. I, personally, couldn't do the only a onsie thing though, I'm with Tamb, I don't care if people do it, but it's not something I would do.

Sometimes dd's skin is so bad that I have to keep her slathered in ointment and in a sleeper so she can't scratch. She's almost 4. OP can go fuck herself.
