I dont get it. It's pretty easy. Your kid shits and you can smell it no? I usually bring wipes and a diaper in my purse whenever I leave the house.
If your baby never once just exploded out of a diaper within 5 seconds of starting to poop than you are an extremely fortunate parent.
Yes, Obviously that is a different scenario but when they explode like that, they'll be leaking through more than just the onsie at that point. If they're wearing pants, they'll soak through that as well.
Listen, the only reason I'm rolling my eyes at these comments are because of the judgement. I am too busy as a mom worrying about my own kids. Who has time to judge other parents? YOu dont know their LYFE!! Seriously.
There is logic to my argument. There just is. Another layer over the diaper helps to contain things. IMO, nothing but a diaper for protection against leaks is pretty insufficient, and when I see it in public I think it's a little lazy. I don't assume the parents are losers or something.
Oh good, I'm glad the general consensus is not judge worthy. My 5 month is literally too fat for pants. I've honestly considered dressing him in his brother's 4t shorts so the waist is big and the legs are short and wide.

"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
In this case, probably. We've never had to deal with sick kids or a three year old who is throwing a tantrum and the only way you can get them out of the house is by letting them stay in their PJs. Come on now.
Well, if someone's taking a sick kid to the store, I juge them even more.

No, that is ridiculous to judge anyone for that. When we are going to be home all day DD is usually in a sleeper. She has reflux and spits up all the time so there is no sense in dirtying good clothes if we are just lounging around the house.
She also wears zippered sleepers to the doctor because they are quicker to take off and put back on. Judge away.

Better to leave them home to fend for themselves while Mom goes and get juice and medicine. I totally agree. I mean you can't leave them in the car, may as well leave them at home.
Being a mother sounds exhausting with all these things I'll have to judge.
It really is.
I saw that OP and chalked it up to a new mom who hasn't figured out how nice it is to have her child wear pjs all day (Disclaimer: I have no idea if she's a new mom and am too lazy to go check.) My BFF recently asked me if my son is still on formula. He is 3. We all figure this shit out at our own pace.
No, I judge myself for spending too much money on cute outfits when I could just keep her in sleepers all day. So much easier, cheaper, and probably a whole lot more comfortable.

LOFL! Because it's every parent's dream in life to have no.other option but to take a sick and cranky kid to the store to pick up something necessary like fluids or medicine.
I can't wait until the judgey OP's kid is old enough to have opinions about what he/she wants to wear. DD has been picking out her outfits since she was around two. Must of the time it works out. Some things just aren't worth the battle at 7am.
I don't judge any combination of clothes on kids. My kid went to Target in a Wonder Woman costume and red cowboy boots the other day. I give exactly no fucks.
Yep! DS has been to a store in a spiderman costume and DD1 in a belle costume. No hurting anyone or lying? Carry on.
I have felt judged about this. Took M to his 3wk check-up wearing a sleeper and someone at the doctor's office commented pointedly about his "pajamas". I was in the nervous and insecure new mom stage, so of course I took it way too personally and made sure he had "real" clothes whenever we went out from then on.
I do this for all his check ups! I love the zip up PJs because it's easy to get him in and out of for his exam. Haters to the left.
