Not a chance in hell I can sleep past 7 am so here I am at 6, wide awake.
DD is a very reliable riser - she is up between 6:30-7 usually on the nose, sleeping in is 7:30. So far, she's still asleep. I did tell her very sternly last night not to wake up until the sun came up. Fingers crossed!
Apparently during her bedtime antics last night, she turned her light on. That probably kept her up longer than she otherwise would have been. Her crib has to stay where it is - anyone know of a babyproofing device for a flat lightswitch? Like this:
i am absolutely flabbergasted that L is not awake. even pre-time change she would be awake already.
she didn't get much of a nap yesterday and was out at parties all day so she was exhausted. i am hoping that is why!
i am enjoying a few min of quiet because i made my h get up. his 2 days off are spread out during the week so he gets L duty those mornings. i don't feel bad because he gets to sleep 1.5hrs later than normal.
DS woke up at 5a which is his usual time so winning!
I'm in awe of your kids that wakeup and sit quietly in their cribs. Mine screams for mama / mommeee / dada / dadeeeee and starts throwing stuff out of his crib. Ha!
Time change always just always has a way of working itself out around here. We always manage to forget about it and don't have a chance to gradually transition bedtime. They were all up early but everybody laid quietly in bed until wake-up time (6am). Good enough. We'll see how the rest of the day goes.

Dd has always slept until 7-7:30 until last week where she decided she would rather wake up at 6 am , we were dreading the 5 am wake up!! Thankfully she woke at 6, but we didn't get her until 6:30
C was up at 5:30 but I delayed getting him out of his crib until around 6. My animals are being much more annoying because they were supposed to eat an hour ago and I'm making them wait.

L didn't do too bad. He was up at 6:07 for the day but I fed him and we snuggled in bed until almost 7:00. Unfortunately, there were 4 wake ups MOTN that I could've done without.
I ran out of milk yesterday so I'm currently drinking my tea without it and it's not good!
C was up at 5:30. We've been watching cartoons in bed since. No shame.
The REAL problem is my H. His CPAP mask broke and he's "too busy" to go get a replacement so he leaped out of bed screaming at 1:30 and 3:30. Going to commit murder, brb.
DS STTN, which he hasn't done often lately, so that was good. He woke at (new) 6:30 though, which to him was his normal 7:30. I changed him and told him to go back to sleep LOLOLOL. He alternated babbling and yelling mama for the next hour until DH got him out. DS asked for the new toy I bought him yesterday, and DH was all "at naptime today I'm purging his toys b/c you keep adding more." Are you really, REALLY DH, going to pick a fight about a $8 forklift toy at 7:30am?! STFU.
I'm pretty sure DS knows I am mommy and DH is daddy. Last night in the MOTN he screamed mama and when I came in did the sign for food and said mama. Lol then later he pooped and yelled dada and he changed him and cuddled him back to sleep. He was up for the day at 6:30 not too bad.
DS slept the extra hour & then woke up screaming. I went in & told him it was morning & he told me to leave & stayed in bed for an extra 45 minutes. Lol! Okay kid!
We have a combination of a child that's just getting over being a sick, 10 days with overindulgent grandparents, and those days were at their house, so all the kids were in the same room and immediately attended to as soon as they stirred to prevent waking the others. Oh, and the time change.
Yawn.
This morning's largest issue was DD. She wanted cuddles, had a bad dream, was cold etc. starting around 5:30. She's squarely DH's kid MOTN so I snoozed through that. We got firm around 6:30 and she stopped with the shenanigans and went back to her room. But her playing around was enough to wake the baby for real and there's no going back for anyone after that. Trying for his nap now.
