I always wrap anyone's birthday gifts with whatever the fuck paper I find. Brothers birthday is 12/20, so Christmas paper for you. If I'm out of Christmas paper, it was the Sunday funnies...I'm lazy
That's what my grandma wrapped all of our gifts in. I miss it
My mom uses the freaking Target/Macy's/etc bags the things came in. DRIVES ME INSANE. I swear she does it just to be difficult. She always has to be a dissenter.
Seriously guys-let me get out my tiny violin-my bday is December 28-but you're saying you wouldn't be a little bummed or disappointed (especially when you're a kid) if someone tried to lump your birthday along with a holiday? Or were too lazy or cheap to wrap your present in non-Christmas wrapping paper?
And for those of us with birthdays around Christmas or other major holidays it kind of sucks that it gets lost in the holiday rush while others get to just enjoy their birthday as a separate day. (Cue tiny violin again!)
Signed, The girl who never had a lot of kids come to her birthday parties because it was Christmas and everyone was celebrating with their families.
Lurker here. My dd's birthday is on December 28th and we tend to overcompensate so she doesn't feel like here birthday and Christmas is one big celebration. I never use Christmas wrapping paper, she always gets some sort of party.
I'm more worried about people not coming to her parties because they are burnt out Christmas expenses. Oh and I have a niece who has a birthday on December 23.

AND ANOTHER THING! Just remember that when it comes to boo hooing how your birthdays weren't so fabulous as a kid, my tiny violin is WAY tinier than yours, okay? </3
I know someone with a December 25th birthday who gets upset if there is any hint of Christmas stuff on her birthday gift wrapping. Not only does it need a separate gift, but the wrapping must be completely separate as well.
And God forbid you don't take time from your family holiday festivities to post a Happy Birthday wish on her FB wall.
My Mom arbitrarily combined my birthday one year with my baby shower. Like had my shower on my birthday. Then when I asked her why, said " Well once you are a Mom noone will care about your birthday anymore."
L's birthday is 12/5. It pains me just a little to have to wait until after it to decorate for Christmas now, but I don't want her to resent that we didn't separate the occasions when she gets older, so separate we will.
Though we did just throw her a "winter one-derland" birthday party and her cake had a Christmas tree on it, so maybe we're already toeing the line. Good thing she won't remember.
dd1 is 12/18 and I always try very hard to keep everything completely separate, I didn't want her birthday to get lost in the Christmas shuffle, but SHE is the one who wants EVERYTHING Christmas on her birthday, it makes her so excited that her birthday is Christmas time! Her first birthday was a winter onederland too she'll be 8 this year and she wanted to decorate the tree on her birthday and she wants to wear Christmas clothes to school that day (normally a uniform, they get to dress down on their birthday) it's like the exact opposite of every single thing I ever hear people complain about lol.
My niece's birthday is December 5. I'm going to combine her bday and Christmas presents until she's old enough to realize what's going on. She's 2 now, I'm guessing I can get at least another year out of it. This may be flameful?

Both my DD's birthdays are in December. When they were younger i would wait but now that they are old enough to voice opinions (7&9) they both love decorating and want the tree up in November!

I do feel for my one friend who's birthday is January 2. By then everyone is done with going out, eating, drinking, prob back to work etc. she always get shafted. Most people forget to even say happy birthday to her. It's always been like that even when she was a kid. We do a bday party for her on her half bday lol

Hugs to the IF people (I didn't get a baby with mine, sigh) and hoping y'all get your dream child! I have a DEC 26 birthday - and it's pretty much always sucked. My 30th I drove back to my apartment in Alexandria, VA (from my family's house) to spend it with a good friend who cancelled on me at the last minute. My 40th birthday - flight to celebrate with family got cancelled with no other flight that day...so I had to sleep in a shitty airline hotel and eat shitty airline hotel food. I'm going to make my 50th a big one somewhere on a beach and warm with lots of alcohol. But if people want to give me pressies wrapped in Xmas paper, I'll take 'em!
