Has anyone had their haircut at an Ulta salon? I am sure it depends on location but does this sound like a terrible idea? Can you use points?
I am going to a work event Friday where I will probably see the ex-boyfriend that always used to give me crap about my weight and cheated on me with a teenager. I need to look as hot as possible and I am feeling pretty down on myself at the moment. A haircut might help and i have to go over there anyway.
I had mine cut at one once and it turned out really good actually. I am guessing it all depends on who ends up doing your hair. Not sure about the points-but they had some special for cut, deep conditioning treatment and style. Good luck!!
Ok then, I need to rethink my whole strategy. Maybe I do not even want a Colour Pop order.
LOL who am I kidding? We all know I'm going to order something.
My recommendation is to buy a few blushes and toss one or two eye shadows in to see how you like them. You really can't go wrong with the blushes so it would be a pretty safe order.

I support this plan.
Don't forget the coupon Thanksbabe for $5 off. That's like one free eyeshadow.

I always go when they do the style a thon in October (because it's like $15 for a cut), and I've always been pleased. I think you earn points, and can spend points in the salon.

OK!
I think I might try a couple lippies too, because hey, $5.
Do the eyeshadows work well as a base? FWIW, I almost never wear primer. I just smear a whole bunch of cream shadow down. Usually MAC Painterly.
Which reminds me, I have discovered that Painterly works great as a concealer in a pinch. At least for me, it's a decent match for my skin tone.

Yes, I bounce back and forth between them, Painterly, and UD eye primer as my base.
Sometimes, when I'm feeling particularly put out by how much makeup I own, I will use UD eye primer AND a ColourPop or Painterly as a base. Now that summer is coming, I will be adding the 5-in-1 back into the rotation. I really never will hit pan on anything. ^o)
The shadows are really pretty and I like how they swatch, but for some reason I'm kind of struggling to work with them on my eyelids. They seem soft enough in the pan, but I feel like they are a bit dry on my lids compared to the stuff from UD, Smashbox, etc. that I have. Now that I'm thinking about it, maybe the mattes in particular?
I dunno. It's a gift, the colors are beautiful and I want so badly to love it as much as my other palettes, but so far I have really mixed feelings. Cherry Smoke took awhile for me to figure out, too, but I don't think that was because of the physical characteristics of the shadows themselves.

I love MAC shadows. That being said some of the limited edition/special palettes that I have aren't the same quality. I don't have a lot of their matte shadows, but now that you mention it they are a bit more difficult to work with for me.
It's a really pretty palette, I hope you can make it work for you.

I need some foundation help. I'm looking for a foundation that is more of a creamy matte, if that makes sense. My skin is dry but gets oily in the t-zone in warm weather. Ive been using Pixi Illuminating Tint and Conceal, which is really nice, but too luminous for the look I'm going for. But most matte foundations look dry and cakey. Any ideas?

Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow? Dewy but not terriblly so. You could also try a radiance primer (Loreal lumi or Laura Mercier are ones I've tried and liked).
I'm about to test out the Rimmel Match Perfection b/c I hear it has a dewy look but I'm afraid to try it because it is heavily perfumed and I'm 2 seconds away from a headache just thinking about it. Blech.
HEIFERS, YOUR COLOURPOPPING WAYS MADE ME FORSWEAR MY 2015 SPENDING FREEZE. I AM NEVER GETTING WAINSCOTING AND LANDSCAPING.
The first rule of a no-buy is to NEVER STEP FOOT IN THE MUT.
Which is why a no-buy will never work for me! waaah! Yesterday my husband commented that he thought I said I was done buying makeup. I'm thinking, well, yah, I pretty much am seeing as I only order like one thing a month now. Oops!
This morning at work this 70+ year old guy with a cane was looking all confused and so I stopped to help orient him to the best direction to go to find his car. In the middle of chatting he examines my face strangely and told me that I look "very clean and well groomed" and then asked me if I wanted to go for drinks later tonight. Ummm... thanks MUT???

Urban Decay's naked foundation. I'm also combo skin. Naked is my favorite foundation. Not cakey at all. It feels nice and light but the coverage is still awesome.
