I'm suspicious that you keep avoiding the question about your current living situation/landlord. What's the deal, are you being legitimately kicked out or not?
I'm not avoiding the question. I just have been responding to other ones so chill.
I've pushed back to my landlord and he continually says "you need to get out ASAP. I have several people interested in your room."
I'm trying to reach someone in my housing authority to get something in writing to give to him. Unfortunately, the hold time is very long and between making calls about apartments on my lunch I haven't had a chance to get through.
In all fucking likely hood I'll end of staying through September because I do legally have 30 days. But that means living with fucking strangers, dealing with my dick landlord and having him pop in daily to see when I move. It's just even more frustrating than all of this.
Also, I have great fucking friends. But like I said, that don't have accommodations for me to stay or live 45-1 hour away from me and my work. Several of my friends have offered and if I had a fucking car it wouldn't be an issue. But again, I don't have a car.
And relocating closer to work is not a fucking option.
The reason I keep saying no the options provided is because they are things I've already fucking thought of but don't pan out for one fucking reason or another.
I'm doing the fucking best I can. But I don't have a lot of fucking options. I will likely end up squatting but that's just going to be a huge pain in itself.
You have a mother and a father living in SL, right? You seriously couldn't crash at one of your parent's houses for a few extra days? Yeah, it might mean a crappy public transit commute, but I'm sure it would be better than being homeless.
WHAT?!?!?
Her parents live in the same city and she can't crash with one of them for a few days?
I don't think there's anyway to help in this situation. Her only responses are to shoot down everyone's suggestions and make excuses for the situation.
The point of the thread was that she wanted to vent and create drama. Point made. We get it, you're panicking and don't want help/advice. Good luck.

Here's the Utah landlord tenant law for this situation: "The notice must be served at least 15-days prior to the end of the rental period. Otherwise, the tenant can stay until the end of the next rental period.
NOTE: The landlord needs to make certain that any written rental agreement signed by the tenant does not contain a provision longer than fifteen days. Many written month to month rental agreements contain a notice requirement of 30 days. If it does, the landlord needs to give the longer notice contained in the agreement."
Her landlord didnt give written notice at all. So...well, I'm sure she realizes she doesnt have to move, is making a huge stink over it because DRAMA!!! and then will suddenly say something like "OMG, guys! Everything is fine and I'm staying because the landlord thinks I'm hot. Hehe!"

1. Yes, temporarily living with strangers, like most of us voluntarily did in college, is SO MUCH WORSE than being homeless.
2. Your friends are homeless too? That's sad. You should have been letting them stay with you. I am reaching this conclusion since that's literally the only way I would "not have accommodation" for a good friend facing a night on the streets.
Except I guess you aren't facing that, this has all just been a massive overreaction. Oh well, back to work.
Also, I have great fucking friends. But like I said, that don't have accommodations for me to stay or live 45-1 hour away from me and my work. Several of my friends have offered and if I had a fucking car it wouldn't be an issue. But again, I don't have a car.
Then buy the fucking car fucking now and move in with one of your friends who offered you to stay there. Drive to fucking work everyday while you fucking look for a new fucking apartment in a reasonable timeframe.

Well, that certainly illustrates the diversity of the word.

And would you kindly give up the "Oh, and the landlord just pops in whenever he wants, but oh well, what can I do?" act? Seriously? YOU know and HE knows he can't just let himself in unless its an emergency or has given 24 hour notice for a specific reason.

You know...I'm starting to wonder if Bliss actually lives with her parents and all this drama over roommates, crazy landlords, etc is just what she imagines her life to be like. That would probably make more sense than what she says is happening.

Whatthefuckever, Bliss. You said you can't do an extended stay hotel because you have no way to get to work. The logical answer is stay at one closer to work. Or just keep ranting/swearing/behaving like a child.
Your answers are idiotic and combative. Either give reasons for them so people can offer advice or just shut the fuck up.

When I was your age Bliss I didn't really feel like relocating to my new job as a lawyer because I didn't want to move to Rochester from Boston. I was sad and put it off until I had done nothing. I packed my life into a Chevette (they were these really wicked small cars back in the day) and headed off. I stayed in a hotel for a week and then house sat for two different people who had gone on vacation at my firm for 3 weeks until I moved into the place that I found when I got out there. I think I may have even had less money than you do now. You can do this. Hotel/extended stay then find a new place. As for cars - do they have zip cars in Salt Lake City? If not I am assuming they have some form of public transportation.
Oh and the application was denied for credit purposes. One of the applicants had better credit than me. Which means it's going to be even harder to find a place and/or I'm going to have to put down more money. It's just really fucking frustrating.
I can't win. And I get told by internet strangers how fucking terrible I am or how dramatic. You would be too if you had to deal with this bullshit all on your own no support. No help or no one to tell you it will be okay. Just people telling you how much you fucking suck. Which is a real win.
You know...I'm starting to wonder if Bliss actually lives with her parents and all this drama over roommates, crazy landlords, etc is just what she imagines her life to be like. That would probably make more sense than what she says is happening.
ANSWER THE QUESTION ABOUT TENANT LAWS IN UTAH PLEASE.
I CAN ONLY ANSWER SO MANY GOD DAMN QUESTIONS AT A FUCKING TIME. I AM WORKING YOU KNOW. AND MAKING PHONE CALLS AND CHATTING WITH MY BOSS. RESPONDING TO MM ISN'T MY FUCKING TOP PRIORITY.
Also, I have great fucking friends. But like I said, that don't have accommodations for me to stay or live 45-1 hour away from me and my work. Several of my friends have offered and if I had a fucking car it wouldn't be an issue. But again, I don't have a car.

Oooh, this statement might actually sink in because you used 'fucking' every other word.
You are really giving those of us that are pursuing the same type of undergrad degree as you a really bad name.
Honestly, I think this is a very good suggestion. LOL
And she wouldn't even be squatting, IIRC. The landlord didnt give her proper legal notice to move out, therefore, her month to month lease is still in effect until he gives her the proper, written notice Which I believe is 30 days. So if he wanted her out on August 31st, he would have had to give her notice by July 31st.
All he did was say "This isnt working, you have to be out in 11 days."
Sorry, dude, but she doesnt. Not yet, anyway.
So, Bliss, if the story you've given us is the whole story and it happened the way you said it happened- DONT MOVE.
But, I know this is wasted advice because you dont really care. You just want the drama of "OMG, I'm gonna be homeless!" even when you aren't going to be.
This is what will likely happen. I'm drafting up an email to my landlord now stating that I won't be out until September 15 due to Utah tenant laws and having a full 30 days notice.
You know...I'm starting to wonder if Bliss actually lives with her parents and all this drama over roommates, crazy landlords, etc is just what she imagines her life to be like. That would probably make more sense than what she says is happening.
You may be on to something.
Fuck off. I don't have fucking parental support. I wish I did.
Also, I have great fucking friends. But like I said, that don't have accommodations for me to stay or live 45-1 hour away from me and my work. Several of my friends have offered and if I had a fucking car it wouldn't be an issue. But again, I don't have a car.

Looking into that fucking option as well. I don't really have much to fucking spend on a car though. So who knows how well that will fucking work out.
And relocating closer to work is not a fucking option.

I know what the fucking logical answer. I also know the layout of my fucking city and where extended stay hotels are in reference to my god damn place of employment.
It's an option I'm looking into. It's not an option closer to work however.
I'm also still fucking looking at apartments.
And again, pushing back with my landlord. Although, I'm terrified he's just going to throw my shit out and change the locks.
Honestly, I think this is a very good suggestion. LOL

I don't want the fuckin drama of being homeless. I don't like this fucking drama as it. It's fucking annoying and frustrating and WAY time consuming.

This is against the law. But I think you know that. I think this is Mud - maybe everything was Mud. Good luck to you.
-I don't have a relationship with my parents. They won't offer the shirts of their backs for me, let alone a room for a month.
-Giant lives 1 hour away
-Most my friends live in the suburbs and don't really have room. If I had a car it'd be a easier solution.
-I'm drafting an email to my landlord now to push back my move out date.
-I'm still going to look at 4 place tonight and throughout the week in hopes that I find something.
-I'm looking into extended stay/hotels for a week or so.
-I'm looking into buying a car now and living in it/couching surfing for a month.
-Everything is all pending. Depends on how much money I'll have.
-I've only been working at my job for about a month so I haven't had time to really save or anything aside from pay my bills and catch up on things that were behind when I was unemployed for 2 months.
