Strictly speaking he was impeached but he was not removed. Same point applies but he wasn't acquitted technically.
Huh. Wikipedia uses "acquitted," and notes that if a person is convicted after impeachment, the person is removed from office.
Maybe I shouldn't use Wikipedia, but in general terms a person who is not convicted is acquitted.
Yeah wiki is wrong. He had articles of impeachment passed against him i.e. was impeached. he was then sent to the Senate for trial where he was not removed (i.e. convicted).

History.com is a good source? No?
Yes but it's two seperate things the articles of impeachment passing was the impeachment, the senate voting to acquit was failure to remove. Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton are the only Presidents to be impeached.

Yes, but no one said he wasn't impeached. They said he was acquitted. You said he was not. Since the very definition of acquitted is to be freed from a criminal charge by being found not guilty, and the Senate found him not guilty, I...don't really see the argument here.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure this rumor wouldn't hurt her a bit among the vampire-obsessed-millennial-Berners, right? (Man, I sound OLD; I don't even know if vampires are still cool!!)
I am also annoyed by Hillary because she is so fucking smart, yet she does some really stupid things. Like, when it came to the server in her house - They asked her if she wiped it clean before handing it over and her response - Like, with a cloth?
Bitch, please. You are too smart to play dumb.
Are you serious? Did you watch the video when she said that? She is laughing when she says that... she is clearly joking.
This was just an example, and of course she was joking...but it just goes to show how little she considers what she sits sometimes. Like when she was confronted by a BLM protestor, and when it was settled, she said "now back to the real issues"
Do I think she really doesn't see the BLM movement as an issue? No, but her flip response is grating. She is too smart, and has been in this game too long, to say such stupid shit. I just think she doesn't care and can always go back and say "that's not what I meant..."
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
A few pages late, but I think often the "What difference does it make?" sound bite gets taken out of context. This is the whole quote:
Clinton: With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided that they’d they go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make? It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, Senator. Now, honestly, I will do my best to answer your questions about this, but the fact is that people were trying in real time to get to the best information. The IC has a process, I understand, going with the other committees to explain how these talking points came out. But you know, to be clear, it is, from my perspective, less important today looking backwards as to why these militants decided they did it than to find them and bring them to justice, and then maybe we’ll figure out what was going on in the meantime.
I mean...I understand how people can still be upset with her words but I think her bigger point was the second half of the quote where she talks about bringing them to justice and find out more information. It's just that most clips cut it off before that point.
I don't think she's any more hated than Obama or Bill were when they were up for reelection. With BO obviously a lot of it is racial, but the GOP impeached Bill over a blow job. That takes a lot of hatred. HRC is facing a lot of hatred, and a noticeable lack of enthusiasm, for someone who hasn't served four years yet, but I chalk that up primarily to the fact that she's been around forever.
So many of the allegations are speculative- the stuff about the Fosters, Bengazi, etc. And that's mostly driven by politics, with a healthy dose of misogyny for flavor.
There's probably a small bit of something to the corruption allegations - the idea that people who paid for access to Bill were given more favorable treatment, to her support for banks and other companies on Wall Street - but no one can play the game at that level without being tainted in some respect. BO is - or was- probably the cleanest president we've had, but that's because he rose so quickly. HRC is no worse than the Bushes or Regan.
And the stuff about Bill's affairs- that's just sexism. Would the "Christians" have found her more appealing if she'd left him?
And, obviously, the same is true for comments about her being unattractive. She actually quite beautiful, especially given the stresses she has endured. But she also definitely does not play up her looks, and the Fox News crowd clearly requires smart women to be hyper-feminine in every other respect to avoid further emasculating the menfolk.
The one thing she is not, however, is charismatic. I thought the SNL skit with Bernie was hilarious because it's true- you van just sort of tell she doesn't like having to pander to people.
I agree, especially re: Obama. At least when people say they hate Hillary they give me reasons. They may not all be great reasons, but they are at least reasons. My family and others who "hate" Obama cannot give me a reason they just hate him. Which makes it really hard not to think they're a bunch of racists, btw.
I admit I got annoyed when the email story broke, because I knew she was going to run for president. Why would you set yourself up for this sort of negativity? I think she'll be a great president, and she's certainly the best candidate we've got. However I was MUCH more excited about her in 2008 than I am now. Although it all worked out because I LOVE the Obamas. Love.
She is going to destroy Trumpster in debates! Can't wait.
See, I think she'll be up there being her intelligent, well spoken self and trump will come in and be all "crooked, criminal, jail!" And he'll come out looking like he won when she was clearly the winner.
Funny story though, I have a friend who did a back to back tour at Camp David and is a staunch republican (I am an independent, so this is not a warm fuzzy dem speaking here), and he had nothing but very nice things to say about HRC. He said she personally greeted every SM on every visit to camp and addressed them by them and asked them about their family members and was very warm and engaging and a very lovely person. He maintains to this day she deserves none of the hate she gets for how she is portrayed as a woman. He will own up to the fact that had he never met her he probably would have hated her too.
I also have a friend who claims her relative who's SS hates Obama, so basically the OPs claim of "but the SS hates/loves him/her" might not be the greatest metric. (Not critiquing you, but rather the people that always seem to pop up with "insider info" that PROVES that a candidate is just the worst!)
Oh my friend was not secret service, he was in the military stationed at camp david. I was stationed somewhat nearby at the same time. He never said he was voting for her, please see my ref about him being a repub and my being an indep. he just said how she is portrayed is not how she is in person in person.

I don't know. I think her calm and level-headed demeanor is only going to magnify how insane he is. Sort of like how Joe's casual laughter highlighted how woefully unqualified Ryan was.
It's recently occurred to me that the same people criticisizing her for not leaving Bill probably also think of course Josh Duggars wife should forgive him. And he molested his own sisters. But Bill is evil. Ok
And if we're going to attack marriages, Trump is actually the one who cheats on his spouses. But not a mention.

YES. I worry about this too. I don't feel like Trump supporters are very good at deciphering fact vs. sensationalism so I don't know that Hilary's sound and informative arguments are going to fall on open ears.

I sure hope this is the case. But you may be underestimating the stupidity of the general public.

I hold zero hope for Trump supporters. LOL The debates won't do a damn thing for them. They are long lost.
However, I am remaining hopeful that when seeing the two of them face off, it might convince all those who don't want either to see that the choice of Trump is a much scarier reality.
I'll never forget when my subway sandwich artist was like "well he's going to be the last president anyway. Just you wait." I was half interested in whether she meant total collapse of the system or that he would just reign on forever. Then I realized she's a 19yo sandwich artist and I don't really care.
On one of the aforementioned IG accounts I saw a meme about how both the pope and the queen of England said that 2015 would be our last Christmas.
