This thread is for freaking out. Rational or irrationally. Feel free to post outlandish or legitimate links that suggest we're going down in flames on November 8th.
It is mostly irrational anxiety. But it's spiking because of the Florida polls showing Trump ahead (from data gathered before the Comey letter). And then there's that asshole Comey.

I'm in Austin, Texas, and I saw a Hillary ad. We haven't seen an ad for a democratic presidential candidate in Texas in eons. I think the last time we went blue for president was Carter. So I have hope.

No, I don't think so. I think we've seen a lot of early voting which tends to be a more Dem thing. Anyone I know who was on the fence is either going to vote Hillary or for Gary Johnson (and I've said before, honestly this doesn't worry me because the Johnson people are all republicans so our side isn't losing a vote).
I don't actually think there will be any more major revelations from either side before the election, and I don't think the email bullshit is going to matter nearly as much as Trump wants it to. Frankly his campaign is so out of money, they can't come out swinging nearly as hard as Clinton's can. It's simply that his people are louder than us, but there aren't more of them.
I'm not worried, but I'll mail you some of my xanax if it will help.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."

I don't think he will win. I don't think HRC will win by a landslide either, but th at rarely happen these days anyway. But even though I think she will win the one Trump supporter I know is soon confident I always second guess myself.
I'm scared, but trying to put a positive spin on this whole thing. Maybe dem turnout increases, precisely because we're scared too much damage has been done with that letter.
The only person mad as hell and loud right now that I know is the weird, irrational Trump supporter. And honestly, she makes totally senseless comments and she seems very concerned about him losing (which is why she has gotten louder and angrier).
To me, that suggests she knows he is losing and will lose.
Anyway, I've done what I can do, and will vote for HRC. I'm confident she will win and I hope that it's by a large margin because I worry if it's too close that gives Trump leverage to continue on in the "conservative" conversation.
No. He wont win. The 2 Trump supporters I know didnt even know they had to be registered to vote. They thought you just showed up and voted. Two different people, not related in any way. And both are this big of morons. I'm wondering how many others out there that have been screaming Trump for president are actually registered to vote now.
She is still doing well in NC and PA. If she wins those two stars, she is pretty much assured a victory, regardless of what happens in FL or OH.
I've written off Ohio, but North Carolina feels tenuous to me on a visceral level. I know the polls are good. I'm just worried about voter intimidation tactics, voter roll purges, long lines and other measures to disenfranchise people.

Are they new?
They sound like the fun type who scream about "illegals" voting, and there needs to be ID to vote but not to get a gun types. Am I right?
That said, I'm now far more concerned about down ballot races since it reinforces the "lets curb her power" argument that the Rs running for senate are pushing.
Yep! One couple is very neckneck. Never voted before because politics are dumb. For the past year have been spewing how amazing Trump is. I started asking them questions regarding voting and thats when they didnt realize they needed to be registered LOL. The other people are just as odd. We dont really run in the same circles so I heard about them second hand. I find it amusing.
And these are the people who are going to show up to vote and then complain about it being "rigged" when they're not allowed to.
Here's something to make you feel better. Harris county (largest in Texas) set a record for turnout on the first day of early voting (67k), then broke that record the next day (73k), then broke that record the next day (76k), and again the next day(76.3k), and again the next day (81k)!
See graphs showing turnout for the 10 largest counties in Texas compared to 2012 and 2008 here apps.texastribune.org/texas-early-voting-tracker/ Turnout is higher across the board than either of the last two elections, and as mentioned upthread, early voting favors Democrats.
I'm not worried about Clinton's chances of winning.
I AM worried about post-election rage and violence.
I'm also worried that Congress will be stubborn and not work with her on anything, and will continue to waste time by insisting on more investigations.
