I call bullshit. You have a TON of interesting things. Starting with your cool house, your fun food blog and your shopping trips with grandma. I'm not as literal as you, you can pick more than one interesting thing.

I so need details on what exactly happened and what surgeries you had to have.
I'm actually pretty dull and boring. I guess the most interesting thing is the fact that I was on two game shows--Wheel of Fortune and Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

I'll play.
I almost went to Seattle for my externship in Culinary School, but then I met DH.
Also, I come from a pretty large family, including 15 blood aunts and uncles (not counting those who married into the family), 26 cousins, and around 40 second cousins. My maternal grandma now has almost 30 great grandchildren!

It's long but I can compact it. I did a bellyflop and about a month later I had difficulty breathing. I went and had a lung tap and tons of fluid came out. It turned out that the trauma caused chylothhorax which is very rare. I had a chest tube and wasn't allowed to eat for 2 months I was feed thru a pic line. I had two Thoracotomies. The holes were sealed and eventually the fluid stopped. My left lung was filled with fluid. I am lucky!!
I worked on a WWII submarine. Once a month during the summer, sub vets would come and hang out on the boat and tell stories. One of my biggest regrets is not brining a tape recorder to work on those days.

I'm written up in a medical textbook. In 1985 I had an ovarian ectopic pregnancy, meaning the fertilized egg implanted in (or possibly had not been released from) my ovary. This is very rare. I have two perfectly functioning (although now retired) tubes, but I lost the one ovary. I went on to have two perfectly normal pregnancies.

Let's see...I was stranded in Antarctica for 3 days by a terrible storm...The only fun (not research) cruise I've ever been on, I got a parasite so rare that the CDC tracks it...I got pregnant, had a miscarriage with complications, had an emergency appendectomy and defended my PhD two days later, and ended my marriage (in that order) all within 6 months. Worst six months of my life. Those are some of the most interesting things that have happened to my, but I don't think it's what makes me interesting.
