On a related note, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley attended church with Kate and Wills on Sunday, when I guess they were still at Anmer Hall (are they still at Anmer Hall?).
For those unfamiliar, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley (Rose) is their neighbor at their country estate in Norfolk. Her husband is 24 years older than she is, and from this crazy old, rich, powerful family. She's the woman Wills is accused of having an affair with.
The rumor is that Rose and Kate had a falling out (they serve on a board together in addition to being friends), but according to the Daily Fail, "they have considered legal action but, because none of the reports have been able to offer any evidence about what the so-called dispute is about, they have chosen to ignore it." Yeah. Right. Uh huh. No idea what the feud could be about.

Kate is way prettier than this lady.
Eh, pretty has nothing to do with men chasing new pussy. That said, I have no opinion on whether he cheated or not.
😒 you know these people cant take it too personally when they are in the greeting line at Hogworts and someone greets them as the Dumbledore's instead of the fanshaws bc they are just using letters however they want.
That tweet from the Sun douche (his face, come on...its emanating douche energy)doesn't disprove anything other than M&H wanted to be "first" since they apparently didn't beat the Sun to the punch.
In fact, I think it proves further that the BRF are leaking to the press because the Sun started working on the story practically at the same time that H&M were drafting the plans internally at Charles' request.
Why are some people (not referring to specific people on here, just generally based on stuff I’ve seen online) so convinced that William actually had an affair? I know there were rumors about it, but that doesn’t make them true. Are there any credible sources on this? (Unlike, say, Charles and Diana‘s affairs, which were definitely out in the open and well-known).
Regardless, I can totally see the royal family wanting to do whatever was needed to distract the press and take their attention off of those rumors, even if they truly were just rumors. They will always protect the direct heir to the throne first, even at the expense of others in the family. So I don’t fault Harry for being sick of that if that’s what happened.
The piece that convinced me the affair rumors were true is that when the story was reported, William sued the tabloid immediately. But not for libel, which under British law would be a pretty easy suit to win if William could show that the reporter didn't 100% know for sure with proof that it was true. So like, even if the reporter had talked to a couple of people who said that's what happened, it wouldn't be enough to stand up to a libel suit in British court. So William sued for something like Human Rights Abuse for invasion of privacy ersomesuch. If he could show that the reporter didn't have solid proof he would have sued for libel. So not using the libel statute seems to indicate that he couldn't say the reporting was false.

I don’t believe he ever sued, his lawyers threatened legal action for publishing “false and highly damaging” allegations, and further advises that “the publication of false speculation in respect of our clients’ private life also constitutes a breach of his privacy pursuant to Article 8 of the European Convention to Human Rights.”
Makes sense - why make a baby travel overseas to and from Canada in such a short time period. That sounds like hell on both parents and child. Plus, tin foil hat, there are the unknowns of craziness and using a child as leverage.
@
I don’t follow much regarding the RF, but given their power and the desire to keep their image in tact (whatever that is), I would be afraid they’d say, fine H and M can leave but the baby stays here-his passport is revoked. Maybe that’s conspiracy theory like but the thought would cross my mind.
They would have had Togo to the US Embassy in London to register Archie as a US Citizen born abroad and apply for a passport. Since M was working on obtaining British citizenship, I doubt they were ready to tip their hand that something was in the works, I doubt they would have done this.

I have a hard time believing that particular affair rumor and I have absolutely no idea about any other possible affairs. In the case of Rose what’s-her-name, as the story was breaking, W&K had several public appearances together. They were photographed looking each other in the eyes while laughing and genuinely enjoying each other’s company. If Kate had just found out he cheated with her friend, you know it would have been a “don’t look at me, don’t touch me just smile at the camera” through a grimace kind of moment.

I personally believe William cheated on Kate because of the way they immediately jumped out to respond to the story. Normally they ignore and don’t comment on tabloid stories. I think their reaction was an immediate attempt to shut it down because they wanted to minimize what their kids would read about it down the road. Kate will never, ever leave William. She knew what she was signing up for when she married him and she’s all in, forever. Inviting Rose to her bday church service and party was a move to save face.
It does make me sad there has been a breakdown between the brothers because they always seemed incredibly close. I hope they can get back to that someday.
ETA- They’re all leaking things to the press. Every single one of them. lol

I know next to nothing about the royals (though I am definitely entertained by this thread) and no opinion on the affair, but I can't possibly see how them making public appearances and being lovey is in some way proof that there was never an affair. From what I can tell, Kate knew exactly what she was getting into and did so willingly. She's not going anywhere. So yeah, maybe in private he's sleeping on the couch and not allowed to get near her, but in public, I'm guessing she does what she has to do to dispel rumors and ensure the BRF looks as they should. And I'm sure she knows a Trump/Melania level appearance is not going to be enough to stop tabloid rumors.

Also everyone processes things and reacts differently. Plus these people are celebrities. They are likely used to hiding their emotions and putting it on in public. I’m not sure reading into their public demeanor is really that useful.
