But Ezra Klein (who I normally like), says its fine:
Tweet says: Bernie’s strength is that he can win over some voters who are skeptical of Democrats - like Joe Rogan. If you think getting Trump out of office is actually important, that’s a good thing, and he should lean into it.
In other words we should lean into transphobia and sexism. Sounds about par for the course for Bernie.
This is what I'm seeing in the wider world. People saying that Bernie can bring in "real working class people" who likely voted for Trump last time. This is how he'll bridge gaps! By appealing to white, male, transphobic, homophobic members of the working class in Michigan.
Of course, I'm sure the same people were horrified when David Duke endorsed Trump...
Bernie just accepted an endorsement from Joe Rogan - transphobic, anti-feminist, etc.

This response pisses me off even more than the endorsement acceptance (which also pisses me off.) NO. I WILL NOT BE FRIENDS WITH THESE PEOPLE. Unity that involves compromising on these issues is not an ok goal, Trump or no Trump. If Trump leaves office and we are left with a coalition of these assholes things are only going to get better for some people and that should not be ok with any of us.
I’ve seen people say that it’s good to talk to people who aren’t like us, yada yada yada. And my response is that if Bernie wants to go have private conversations with Rogan to try to bring him into a progressive movement, that is fine. I have arrived at where I’m at in part because people were patient with me as I emerged from the shelter of my conservative upbringing. That is NOT the same as elevating someone with a looooooooong history of bigotry.

Tweet showing percentage of Dem voters who will/will not vote for their candidate if that person is not the nominee. Not surprisingly, Bernie's supporters are only at 54% who will vote for whoever the nominee is.
I think many Sanders supporters aren’t Democrats so of course they’re not going to necessarily vote for a different nominee. (I don’t know much about Yang supporters). I think we do what we can to try to convince them but I think more focus should be on the Dem base, Independents leaning Dem, and non-voters than trying to convince the hardcore Berners...voters willing to look past their own noses in order to do what’s best for the country.
I still see a lot of Bernie supporters who also like Yang and Gabbard because those candidates align with their values. I haven't engaged much because my brain can't handle that amount of stupidity. I tried with one guy and the response I got was not rooted anywhere in reality.
"Well actually, I would totally vote for a woman! I'm not a sexist. It's just that all the women who are running, have run, or might feasibly run in the future are totally unqualified, have terrible personalities, and/or are corporate shills. But I'm definitely not a sexist, how dare you suggest that."

Someone just told me I will never understand why she loves Bernie because SHE is a MOM. When I said I was offended she told me that moms have thicker skin.
Didn’t think it was possible to hate Bernie supporters anymore than I already did.

I legit don't get what this means. I mean, I am a mom and I am unaware of any special deeper political understanding that comes from it.

I am a mom and I don't understand what she is trying to say. I definitely do not love Bernie.
I also don't think the interpretation of the chart above is accurate and means we need to vote for Bernie.

I feel like it would be similar to me saying that my political opinion is superior in some way because I’ve had infertility and loss. Yes, we all have different experiences, but claiming one is inherently “better” than the other or provides special insight that no one else could possibly have seems pointless. I’m the biggest proponent out there for policies that enrich the lives of parents and children, especially mothers. Hell, I rely on those policies a lot of the time in my own situation (paid medical leave for example.)

Holy shit!! I can't believe someone would be so cruel and insensitive (well, I can , but you know what I mean) and beyond that her comment is ten kinds of idiotic.
