I bought some Tide Pods the other day (3 containers with 71 pods each) and noticed that it said on the containers that it lasts 4+ months which is like 4-5 loads per week. There are only 3 of us in the house now and I feel like I do way more laundry than that. Heck, 3 of my weekly loads are bedding and towels. Do we just create an egregious amount of laundry?
Only 2 of us here, but I'd say 3-4 is pretty average, maybe more if I'm washing bedding other than sheets or throw blankets. It's usually 2-3 loads of clothes and 1 load of sheets/towels.
5 or so? Family of four, though DH is OOT a lot. DS's clothes take over a week to build up a full size load, towels get done more like every ten days rather than weekly, sheets are weekly.
We’re just 2, honestly we only average 2/week? One very large load of clothes and one of blankets/sheets/etc. Now every other week It’s probably 4, more blankets etc. We have 5 animals. We have a large washing machine and just throw all of the clothes in there together, it’s worked fine for 15yrs lol.

Ok douche, go ahead and call it mud. My husband DID have halitosis. We addressed it after I talked to you girls on here and guess what? Years later, no problem. Mofongo, you're a cunt. Eat shit. ~anonnamus

I… have no idea. H does most of the laundry. I would guess probably 4-5 loads most weeks. More if I’m doing my work clothes and we need to wash sheets.

Probably abut 6-8, depending on the week.
One load each (4 people), one load of towels. We rotate doing bedding, so that is 1-2 when we do that.
Obviously we do more if things happen. Like when DS had a sleepover and the kid was a puked when he overeats, and the mom over fed him before bringing him over. That alone was 2 loads. LOL
I wash every Wed and Sun. I do 2-3 loads those days, depending on what I'm washing. So I guess 4-6 loads per week. (Although that's just for me and my kids - my DH does his own laundry and I'd guess he does 1-2 per week? He has no system except to always "NEED" to wash a load on one of my laundry days)
We have 4 adult sized people here and do 5-7 loads a week. Each kid does their own, DH and I have 2 between us, I'll do a hand wash load, then a load of towels. Depending on where we are in the sheet cycle that's another one.
Probably 5 or so for the 3 of us. That seems like a lot, but we both work out daily so there's those clothes plus other clothes, plus when DS was playing soccer I had to wash that stuff frequently so he could wear it to his multiple practices/games.
1 for each of the kids, including their sheets. Two weekly for my husband and I (each), at least one load with towels/sheets/blankets from around the house. 8-9 loads a week, more if someone is sick or if I'm washing all the blankets or something. Oh, and maybe a load of work stuff/rags. So up to 10 on average. Which feels like a lot because it will be days between someone using the washer.
A LOT - I'd guess 8-10. There are 4 of us in adult clothing and we all have a couple outfits a day (everyday clothes and workout stuff) and we all shower every day.
2 but we are only two people and have very high capacity machines (and a lot of sets of sheets/wash cloths/towels so we do loads of those more like every 2-3 weeks when there is enough)
