I had no system beyond putting into boxes in the basement by size. I have too much ahead now to keep track so I just downloaded Trello and like it so far. I wish I'd started in the beginning because I feel like I had a lot of clothes but not necessarily a lot of outfits, particularly 3 month and 6 months. Now I have an overabundance of clothing at 12 months and wish I'd had the foresight to tell people to stop buying in that size. There's so much DD hasn't worn or has worn only once simply because it was a gift.
We are on 3 sessions a day now, and I'd like to drop the before naptime session. Today I brought in her sippy of milk and tried to give it to her and cuddle after reading a story, and she got very frustrated and grabbing at my shirt. I probably should have just put her in the crib, but I had a work call coming up and didn't want her crying and screaming so I just gave in and nursed her so she'd go down. I'd love to drop it in the next week or two so I don't have to pump or send BM to daycare (starting 8/30).
fwiw, we still nurse before naps when we're at home together, but E doesn't drink milk before naps at daycare, and I no longer pump. I just thawed my last bag of BM today, so he'll be getting 8oz of WCM in a sippy for throughout the day starting on Monday. so I know it doesn't answer your question, but don't let the fact that she's starting daycare be the sole reason to drop that nursing session. if you want to drop it anyway regardless of daycare, then I have no advice, lol.
Thanks, this helps! I'm OK to keep going while home with her for a couple more months, but mostly don't want to pump anymore lol. I also hope that we will wean slowly, 1 session at a time, but not sure how long I want to go yet overall.
Also, what kind of sunscreen should I send to daycare? In my head spray is easier? Is there any way to have him NOT smell like sunscreen every single day? I really don't want to bathe him every night.
My daycare doesn't allow spray either. I like the Babyganics sunscreen, I don't think it smells like anything after applied.

Do you have life insurance of your own at this point?
If not, is there any reason you would be difficult to insure? Sometimes you can add to the child policies without getting a new medical qualification. I think protecting insurability is one of the best reasons to get a child policy.
Does the policy require that you continue to pay? If you already have life insurance, etc., then I would probably lean towards cashing this one out.
I don't have another policy, but I also don't have any reason medically why I couldn't be. I've been talking to DH about getting term insurance instead now that DD is around, and have a house etc.
I have read and heard that having child policies are pointless and not good investments. I did not get one for my DD. But, my mom told me she had one for me, started when I was a baby. She recently this summer signed it over to me to either cash out or continue to pay, although seemed slightly disappointed when I mentioned cashing it out, saying it would be good for me to keep paying it "just in case".
I haven't had time to find out the cash value, but the death benefit is only $5k, so I can't imagine much. I think it's $75 per year to keep it going. Is there a good reason either way?
Just want to offer hugs, there's lots of great advice here. You are doing great, and the constant feeding is totally normal. Hang in there, we've got your back!
@spacemanspiff I started with very low expectations, around 6 months. I only did "all done", and DD picked it up within 2 months, and would sign it during meals, and sometimes others like after a diaper change or in protest to getting dressed, lol. I tried to add in "more", but then we changed babysitters and the new person doesn't really do the signs, so DD stopped doing her one sign too. DH also never really does them, so it's hard if you're the only person. I'm hoping she might pick up again when we start daycare though since they say they do them with the babies.
I would focus on just the few signs that will be useful.
My MIL got all excited about DD signing all done, that she tried teaching her the sign for baby bird (DD likes to read Are You My Mother?), And I was all... 😒
DD is very snuggly with me, not so much with DH. She comes over often while playing and wants to sit on my lap, runs to hugs me. After she finishes nursing before bedtime she unlatched and repositions herself to hug me and lay on my chest. If DH gives her a bottle for bed, she finishes, turns over on her side away from him and goes limp, meaning, "put me in bed now, I'm through with you" (his interpretation).
I mostly get PJs from them, but like their basics too. I'm not a huge fan of their other clothes especially graphic tees, but once in awhile there are some cute ones.
For some reason I am always surprised when I notice GBCNers have mutual friends with my FB friends, even though we obviously live in a small world. Someone commented on my friend from HS's post and when I hovered over his name, it said he is also friends with fashionx (not that weird since HS friend lived in Chicago for a few years). If you are wondering why I hovered it's because dude's got a headshot of HRC as his profile pic, which is fantastic. haha.
I know exactly who you're talking about, so funny!
So much to do this mornings.. I have invoices and work emails to send, set up my vacation auto-response, pay bills since I won't have internet at our lake house, and run a bunch of errands all before we need to leave for DH's friend's wake this afternoon. Then packing, and packing the car tonight so we can hopefully get on the road right after breakfast in the morning.
Also I need to load something for DD to watch on the tablet in the car. Any suggestions for a 1 year old? We don't really watch anything with her at home, just music. But think I'll need to have something to get through 8+ hours in a car.
I think I had followed people accidentally and then figured out how to undo it. Right now I have 13 followers and 0 following. I'm sure it is all accidental though, given how easy it is to do.
I just got a new phone though so maybe I need to check my settings in case I do it again.
