I loooove the neighborhood I live in in Denver, but there's no way on earth I could afford to buy a house with a yard in this 'hood, so if we move, it will likely be to the mountains/foothills (Evergreen, Morrison, etc). I would LOVE to live in Boulder, but again...too pricey. I will NOT live in the suburbs. I can't see myself moving out of Colorado, it's too perfect for my lifestyle, though I have entertained the Pacific Northwest.

Yes! I loooove gardening. This year I have six varieties of tomatoes, beets, yellow squash, zucchini, leeks and onions, cucumber, and green beans. Also, a large variety of herbs and lettuce in pots. I wish I could grow berries! Every year, without fail, the squirrels eat them, so I have given up.

Lots of times. I have been to the doctor. Generally it's because of low blood sugar in my case. I'm also sensitive to heat, which has caused me to faint in the past. What were you doing when you fainted?
How big is it? Spiders are my favorite bug, after bees. One time I was driving to Mexico and all of a sudden, out of nowhere, there were thousands of jumping tarantulas all over the road. It was seriously creepy and awesome. I felt bad for inevitably running some over.
What the hell?! I can honestly say I have NEVER heard anyone say that. Ever. lol
I know, I'm an odd bird. I love them for their ecological benefit! Same with bees. They are just COOL!

WHAT THE FUCK!?
LOL! It was really weird. My dad had a similar experience in his youth. I think they have like a mass hatch or something. I don't know, I haven't done any actual research on it, but it is crazy and creepy!

I love this! My friend is having a baby soon and she's super hippie, so I was thinking of tie-dyeing her some onesies and socks. Is dye ok for wee babies, or should I go a few sizes up?

I love any pure vanilla, really. MMM. On a related note, I tried to make my own vanilla extract...it was gross. Not worth the money wasted on high quality beans!

bean salsa, one of my faves. This is a good base recipe, adjust spices/ingredients as you like. I usually use more beans, garlic, and cumin. I also add lime juice and zest.
1 can black beans (rinsed) 1 can shoe peg corn 2/3 c. chopped cilantro 2/3 c. green onions (both green and white part) 2 diced tomatoes (seeded) 1 diced avocado
¼ c. olive oil ¼ c. red wine vinegar 2 cloves garlic (minced) ¾ tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. cumin
Mix the first 6 ingredients together. Mix liquid ingredients together and pour over black bean mixture. It is better if it can sit 1-2 hours before serving.

Hi Still lurking, rarely time to actually post and get involved, but I can't quit yoouuuuuuu. I thought the death of the nest would be the end of my tenure, but no...I like this place better. Go figure.
