We usually do a nice dinner at home, DH usually gets me flowers, I'll get him candy/chocolates. I'll give the kids cards and probably a board book and little present.
This is so disgusting, I'm so sorry that this happened to one of our members. I am sorry for my silence, I have learned a great deal from the conversations that have been occurring on the boards.
It's supposed to be warmer than normal again today so I'm looking forward to taking DS for a walk. In fact this whole week is supposed to be warmer than normal. Yay!
It was so warm already on my commute in. Have fun on your walk today!!
I'm going the Pinterest route this year. I ordered these stickers from Etsy that I'm going to put on apple sauce pouches.
Last year we didn't do any, they received one valentine, but I'm thinking this year families might be more into it. I've also got to get some chocolates or something for the teachers.
My twins were both breech so had a hip ultrasound at around 6 weeks old. DD's was off slightly so she had a repeat ultrasound and was fine from there. DS's initial ultrasound was fine but then our pedi heard a click at his 9 month appointment so he had a hip x-ray to check it and it was fine then.
carolinagirl831 s post reminded me of this. Our urologist said that as he is a boy (anatomy) and circumcised those would both work in our favor and make him much less likely to develop a uti. He said if he was a girl he would have recommended surgery at our last appointment at a year old.
DS has had the VCUG and ultrasounds. He has grade 4 on one side and grade 2 on the other. His first was at 6 weeks and not so bad. We just did a repeat last month and it was definitely harder this time. He cried and did not want to be held down. They did it quickly and it was at our children's hospital so they were great. There was no change at a year old so our plan is to do a repeat ultrasound at 2, then a repeat ultrasound and VCUG at 3 and if it's not resolved by then he'll need surgery. Also at a year they took him off prophylactic antibiotics. Good luck, I hope it goes well!
That is so not ok, I would look for other care as well. As you know I'm also in MA, at our center they change them every 2 hours or immediately if they poop, I'm pretty sure that's the MA regulation.
I would not have been comfortable with that. I would have expected a teacher from another room to fill in or for the infants to combine with the toddlers (or another group) until the actual teacher got there.
I'm in MA, it's not supposed to start here until tomorrow afternoon and even then we're barely getting anything.
I'm here in MA too. Earlier this week it sounded like a huge blizzard. Now we are only getting a few inches.
Yeah, I'm kind of bummed, I was hoping to take the kids out to play in the snow for the first time, I even bought a sled this week! I guess this is what we get after last winter!!
I'm so tired of sickness. I'm on like week 2 of a cold and don't feel any better. Thankfully both kids are going back to day care today as I feel like I've barely been in the office this week - Off Monday, Training and Meetings Tuesday plus left early for dentist, off yesterday, uggh I have a lot to get done.
