My day off to myself has turned into staying home with 2 sick kids. They're both in good spirits despite being sick at least. It snowed last night so I don't really have any big ambitions to go out today.
I'm off and daycare is open. My original plan was mani/pedi and a movie. However DS was diagnosed with rsv and pneumonia this morning so I'll be home with him instead.
Yes, we do it weekly. Between living in a third floor walk up, twins and a husband with strange work hours it makes my life a ton easier. I'll run to WF or TJs for couple of small things but it is always an ordeal when I take the kids. Last time I went to WF, DS took multiple bites out of an avocado, skin and all!!!
DD and DS are boy/girl twins and are 14 months old.
DS is absolutely fearless, he loves to explore, try to stand and walk. He loves remotes, phones, chewing on things, banging things together and basically anything that makes noise.
DD is a total love bug. She loves pushing around her walker or ride on toys, blowing raspberries, taking off her socks, playing peek a boo and her fleece sleep sack.
I did pretty well this week. We stuck to our meal plan and I brought lunch and coffee all week. I did buy some workout clothes for me from ON but hopefully it will be worth it and encourage me to hitter gym.
I think I vented about this yesterday, but I want to do it again.
I am sssoooo over dealing with the logistics of two toddlers and a 3rd floor walk up apartment. My morning involves fighting one kid into the ergo and then carrying the other in my arms (with all my work stuff and all their daycare stuff) down two flights of stairs. Then I put the arm kid down and have to verbally convince her to walk down the concrete front steps while I juggle the double stroller with one hand. Then I have to set the damn thing up, fight the walking kid into the stroller, and walk to the car. Then I have to take kids out of ergo/stroller and fight them into the carseats. Drive to daycare. Fight them back into the stroller. Take them in. And if I have to do pick up it's the same damn 12 fights over again. WHEN WILL MY KIDS BE OLD ENOUGH TO WALK THEMSELVES TO DAYCARE???
This is my life too!! 3rd floor apt with no elevator so we put one in the ergo and carry the other. Also do the same thing getting in and out of daycare. I have high hopes that this will get better once they start walking but doesn't sound like it ;(
I work full time and have a long commute. I enjoy working but would love to go to part time. I was just approved today to start WFH one day a week which I'm really excited about and think will help me a lot.
My first skin check was last year and I had one mole removed. It was a pretty easy process, they just numbed the area and then cut it off quickly, then i just kept vaseline and a band aid on it afterwards. This year I didn't have any removed, although I did elect to go back and get a cyst removed that was on my back.
My kids are 14 months old, and are still considered "infants" until 18 months. They are transitioning now into the oldest infant room. In all our infant rooms they nap and are fed whenever we tell them or the kids are tired/hungry, everyone in the room is on their own schedul. When they go to the toddler room at 18 months, they all have one nap time in the afternoon, not sure about the meal schedule yet though.
My goals are: 1) Bring Coffee and Lunch/Snacks to work at least 4 days/week 2) No clothes for the kids or me 3) Meal Plan to minimize ordering take out. Goal is to only order take out 5 times this month.
Feeling good starting the week on the right foot. I packed a healthy lunch and snacks, brought my coffee and made a smoothie for breakfast. Also was on time for the train!
DD went through this a few weeks ago. I brought her to the pedi on day 3 when she also broke out with a rash on her chest. The multiple days of fevers made me worry and change in behavior convinced me to take her in.
Oh no how scary! DS has a mild egg allergy so luckily tolerates baked eggs. There is a coupon on Epi Pens website as someone else posted and that will bring down the cost.
I think you're in MA right? We had a great experience with the allergist at Childrens. It would have taken twice as long to get in with the allergist at Lahey.
