This Is The Most Epic Brand Meltdown On Facebook Ever
The two owners of Amy’s Baking Company Bakery Boutique & Bistro took over the restaurant’s Facebook page last night to fight unruly commenters, and man, was it embarrassing.
This is the Facebook page for Amy’s Baking Company Bakery Boutique & Bistro, a restaurant in Scottsdale, Arizona.
If you recognize the name of the restaurant, it was recently featured on an episode of Gordon Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares. The owners were dumped by Ramsey after being too difficult to work with.
Apparently, last night, owners Samy and Amy Bouzaglo took to the restaurant’s Facebook to defend themselves against nasty comments from users.
As they started posting, they started receiving nastier and nastier comments back at them.
And the Facebook updates quickly spun out of control.
They discovered a Reddit thread posted to r/cringepics about their Facebook meltdown and started monitoring it.
And the Reddit thread was, unfortunately, sending more unruly commenters to the Facebook page.
The whole thing blew up.
And unfortunately, Amy and Samy just kept posting…
I'm not even sure what was going on at the beginning. They were yelling at customers, kicking them out and then retaliating against them with what they were making in the kitchen. Now Gordon is there, and is impressed with how clean it is and is listening to their tales about the bloggers making up lies about them.
Don't piss off the internet, they'll find your felony identity theft conviction:
The court ordered her to pay $36,294.95 in restitution. Ms. Bossingham plead guilty to submitting an application for a line of credit with M & I Bank using the social security number of another person. The Bank approved the line of credit in the amount of $15,000.
On June 15, 2004, the Court sentenced her to fourteen months prison. (she appealed, but eventually lost, reported to prison in Oct, 7, 2008)
They are seriously awful. I am in the second half, and the chef is in there with her telling her the food is crap. OMG, it's hysterical. And she is awful.
Wait... how does a restaurant even get on to "Kitchen Nightmares"? Do they have to be nominated? Can they request that Ramsey come to their venue? I don't get how this whole thing started but those folks are seriously whack-a-doodle.
"Not gonna lie; I kind of keep expecting you to post one day that you threw down on someone who clearly had no idea that today was NOT THEIR DAY." ~dontcallmeshirley

I think they ask.
Usually, though, they THINK that it's somebody else (not the owners) that's the problem... like, they do it for the renovation and the marketing tips... and because they think that their chef is a lazy sod and Ramsay will fire him for them. Then, it turns out ::gasp!:: it's the owners who are crazy and messing up the business. Tears. Recriminations. Menu revision. Renovation reveal. Credits.
