It was awesome! He told me in the beginning that I would get a follow up phone call if I "passed" this initial interview. By the end, he simply told me to show up tomorrow at 1 for a 2nd interview/orientation.
He broke it down for me. I have the opportunity (if I land this job) to make 180k in 2 years!

I showed up 20 minutes early, a far cry from not even finding the freakin' building yesterday.
I interviewed for a position that caters to helping families, who have crazy debt, get out of debt. What they want from me is to see if I have what it takes to run FOUR expansion buildings (hence the 180k salary) and they expect me to be up to task within 24 months.
ETA: There's no underwater people....that I've heard. lol

If I were to get this job, I don't go to 180k immediately. That's just unrealistic. I'd start part time at $2000/month, then to full time at $4000/month, then onto regional manager which is 150k/year then onto regional operator at 180k.
Call it troll all you want, I saw him write the numbers down and show them to me as a breakdown of salaries.
Oh. Well, good luck. I worked briefly for a company in a different industry that promised me the same thing. After my 3rd week of 18 hour days, I quit lol. I hope this works out for you!

For those expressing concerns, what is it that I should watch out for? Based on the interview and what they do, I'm actually quite interested in working for this company. What seems shady that I'm overlooking?
So - just so we're all clear on this - he didn't actually offer you any amount of guaranteed compensation, right (no hourly pa or salary??). Just an "opportunity" to earn a commission?

I'm not hired yet. I just knocked out the 1st interview. I do plan on writing a bunch of questions (including, is this commission only? type questions). They help families by consolidating their debt and working on lowering their monthly payments with a budget plan.
Actually, I did not seek this job out. They sought me out. I also got 2 more interview calls while I was interviewing, so I need to call them back as well.

Using the phrase "you can make up to $x over 2 years" is really someone selling YOU on a job. Most companies don't do that - they typically discuss compensation once they get to the final round of interviews, and then usually in writing.
I would ask them if there's anyone else that has achieved this track.

Oh dear.
OK, ask yourself this. You don't think it's a teensy bit suspicious that he offered you a job on the spot, after you no showed for your first interview and without much of a decent work history? And not only does he hire you on the spot, he tells you you're going to be making $180K within 2 years?
It sounds like you're going to be doing collections or something of the sort. It will be all commission based, and possibly you'll receive just a draw and no real salary at all. Your chances of even making $18K per year are slim to none. Sorry.

I kept coming in and out of this post looking for a good way to say this. It seems like a sales pitch, not a job interview.

He didn't. He asked me back for a 2nd interview. And my work history details 10 years, so plenty to go around. I'm just stoked that I got a 2nd interview, tomorrow is when I find out what the actual "meat and potatoes" job is, what's expected, what the salary is.

The meat and potatoes is that it is a pyramid scheme. You won't be making $180k. Sorry.

You said second interview/orientation. That means they'll stick you at a desk to shadow someone to see if you can deal with the unpleasantness of the job. Again, you don't think it's odd that he's pursuing YOU and telling you that you're gonna make $180K in 2 years? You'd think if it was realistic, they'd have candidates beating down the door with a very rigorous interview process.

When I go tomorrow and I hear the spiels of a sales pitch regarding jobs, then I won't take it. I've dealt with companies like that before. Even before the interview, I had my suspicions that it was a pyramid scheme.
I'm looking at the ratings with the pros and cons. The cons are kind of startling, but everyone said the same thing about the pros.
I could be wrong but, aren't most debt consolidation companies scams or not worth it. Usually pray on the ill informed? I mean...your pay is based on what? these people who are deep in debt to pay you? How is that helpful for them?
