It was John Stamos. He wanted his character to be Greek.
I thought he was still Greek on the show even when his last name is Cochran. Oops.
he was. They had a whole episode about it. Katsopolous was his real name, but he changed it as a stage name, but later reclaimed his identity and changed it back. I am slo glad to read that he made his rape confession in Jane, which was supposed to be an adult magazine, rather than the previously mentioned Sassy which was aimed at teenage girls. Oh, and fuck him.
I disagree, before details were confirmed I was envisioning him sharing a room with two beds with his friend not purposely tricking the girl.
Nothing about it sounded like an innocent mix up to me.
Ah, the lost episode of Full House, where two guys conspire to trick a girl into having sex with one of them when she thought it was another. It was an adult "very special episode." Hijinks ensue.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."

Remember (or not) when I said in The MONSTER EPIC OMG Thread last month that I need to get better at bookmarking great threads from the early part of each year when we do our end-of-year reminiscing?
You could also argue that she raped him, no? I mean, dude could have been sleeping in Stamos' room when someone starts going at it. We don't know the details, and likely never will, but at face value I don't think it is necessarily rape.

Law & Order SVU did an episode sorta about this. Lady wakes up to man raping her. Man says NU UH -- she posted online that she wanted me to break in and rape her -- rape fantasy - she sent me sexy pictures - not my fault!!! Turns out it was the lady's ex who was stalking her who wrote the rape fantasy ad and all but the guy was still found guilty of rape. Because, ya know, he raped her.
ETA: And we all know if its on L&O then it is TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CONSENT TO SEX WITH ONE MAN IS NOT CONSENT TO SEX WITH ALL MEN!!!
Is this thread actually a portal to the dark ages FFS?!
Of course it's not. But a scenario where a woman enters a hotel room, refuses to look at the man in there even though she knows he's a total stranger, proceeds to have sex with him anyway - that's not rape, IMO. She consented to have sex with the man in front of her. Apart from a total stranger's word, she had no reason to be really believe that the man in the room was the man she was told it would be. I do believe there is some burden on her to actually look at the person you're about to have sex with if you are wanting to have sex with a particular person.
And as it turned out, that's not even what happened with Uncle Jesse. Even without the switcheroo, he acknowledged that she was "really drunk" so that's enough to put the brakes on consent right there.
So I tried googling the whole story and I can't find the actual printed interview but this is supposedlrview.
"...When Jane magazine asked the Olsen twins' erstwhile Uncle Jesse about the worst thing he'd ever done to screw someone over, he provided this character-destroying anecdote: "[In the mid-'80s], I was in a band. I was playing somewhere in Finland, and there was a girl hanging around who was really drunk and interested in me. I wasn't into her, but my friend was."
Sadly, the fact that the former "Full House" star was in a band isn't the most disturbing part of this tale. John, please continue: "So the girl came back to my hotel, and I turned the lights down, and we started making out. I said, 'Hold on a second, I've gotta go brush my teeth.' It was dark, I left the room, and I sent in my friend who looked like me. [etc.]"
So if this is true looks like the girl was wasted, it was him at the beginning and then someone slipped in his place. That's so fucked up and absolutely rape. If this was a college frat guy there would be no question.
Based on this i am comfortably on team rape. But before this, i felt there was some accountability to turn the light on to check, but like lyssbobiss i felt it was a gross violation no matter what but i was not quite sure about rape.
