Anyway, the ones I saw were mostly younger kids, and I've got that covered. Having a harder time with my nieces as they get older.
I've got a 12, 11, 10, and 9 year old girls to buy for. Budget is about $25 each.
Thoughts I've had, for no one in particular: A magazine subscription- Like Discovery Girls purse- but from where? any popular books, but not so popular they would already have it?
And while we're at it, I have a 17 year old sister and 13 year old brother- budget is closer to $50 each for them. :-)
Do any of them have a smartphone or iPod type device? A portable bluetooth speaker is pretty cool. I have the Jam Plus, you can find find them for under $25 if you shop around (normally close to $30).
She's super into Lego friends and the pop star collection is new. There are a few sets that are $25 or under.
Books: The Waterfire saga is really good (first book is deep blue, second is rogue wave). They might generally be better for the older girls on your list. I am reading them to DD and they are really really good
The Pegasus series is also really awesome. My 9 year old is obsessed, but it's not super popular so they probably don't have it.
I think your best bet is to ask them or their parents for ideas though.

My DD is almost 10 and my nieces are 10 and 13. Here are my ideas:
Grown up coloring books with gel pens or nice colored pencils to go with it. iTunes gift cards Movie theater gift cards Nail stuff - nice polish, decals, etc.
These are books my almost 10 year old has asked for recently: Animorphs Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's library Summer of the Wolves The Fourth Stall Rump: The true story of Rumplestiltskin Amulet series Spirit Animals series Land of Stories series Harry Potter schoolbooks
