Good lord, that press conference didn't do the Sander's camp any favors. Accusing the DNC of a conspiracy is bordering on insane. I continue to question why he's running on the Dem ticket when he has such distain for the DNC

Wow, that is kind of nuts. I mean I don't think it is a conspiracy. I think it is a major F up thing with NGP. IN fact, DH's work just got notice that NGP will be off line to fix the issue, so they obviously know they fucked up. I think people at NGP need to get fired. I think the DNC Is wrong to punish the Sanders campaign like that given the known NGP issues and the fact that the Sanders campaign at least fired one person (so far) involved with this. I hope this makes people leave NGP or at least loosens their monopoly on things. Not that there is anywhere to go since NGP bought up everyone. Maybe someone new will come out of this.
I agree that clearly the NGP issues need to be examined but there is no disputing that the Sanders campaign improperly accessed and downloaded information. I think sanctions are in order until an independent audit can be completed. They're acting like martyrs, when they were in the wrong.
This Politico article has a lot of info we haven't seen yet. TL:DR Uretsy is a liar, they absolutely went in and took information they weren't entitled to take, and it's really valuable information.
Here's the relevant excerpt:
Audit logs show that during a 40-minute span that began at 10:40 a.m., four Sanders staffers sifted through the Clinton campaign’s data and conducted 25 specialized searches, according to a person familiar with the breach. The most valuable information obtained, the source said, were lists of individuals the Clinton campaign has identified as its most hardcore supporters across 10 states, as well as lists of those individuals whose support for Clinton is wavering, and could therefore be convinced to support Sanders instead.
The lists are obtained through the time-consuming process of phone banking and, based on those conversations, scoring voters based on how likely or unlikely they are to support Clinton. Sanders camp could benefit from the lists, for instance, by saving time on hitting up those voters who are clearly for Clinton and focusing on winning over those whose support is weaker. The source estimated that the data was worth millions of dollars of investment by the Clinton campaign.
According to a review of the audit logs, Sanders operatives conducted searches for Clinton supporters over 70 — a number that indicates those voters are hard core Clinton supporters unlikely to be swayed by any outreach by the Sanders campaign. And they searched for Clinton supporters under 30, a number that showed the support was not strong and those voters could be easily swayed. The audit logs also show Sanders’ deputy national data director Russell Drapkin granting access to their colleagues to view the proprietary information.

They soooo knew what they were doing. They just hoped they wouldn't get caught. And Bernie is going to sue the DNC? Hmmmm, sure, if he's wants his own server scandal. LOL that the searches are so easily achievable in the programs' data.
You know I want HRC to be all "enough with the damn stealing of my data discussion" during the debate to parrot him.
The last sentence in the Politico article is important. When the data director realized there was a breach, he immediately gave four staffers accounts to the database so they could start sorting through the info, no doubt in an effort to get as much as possible before the breach was discovered.
This isn't a "oops, I was doing some research and stumbled into this."
How did they not know the logs would be discovered?
I'm suddenly really intrigued by this story. Perhaps because it's the first interesting thing to happen in the Democratic race since Hillary kicked ass at the Benghazi hearing.

This was an intentional data grab.
Google that guys' name. He's been working with data for at least 3 years - at least with the Obama campaign in 2012 and maybe before. I'm guessing he knew that database pretty darn well and realized oh-so-quickly what he was looking at - Bernie's wasn't his first campaign.

We realized that we might not make it home in time from Star Wars tomorrow to catch the start of the debate, so we are going to DVR it and pick up takeout on the way home for the nerdiest date ever. LOL.
The Berners are still blowing up my facebook wall with CONSPIRAACY!##!!!!!111!
You mean they haven't been already? I've already read a "that bitch Hillary" conspiracy and DNC conspiracy, and basically about how old white men are so persecuted.

I have so much Berner/Bernie-bro fatigue. So much.
It's really the Bernie Bros that get to me. I don't dislike Bernie. I will absolutely, without-a-doubt vote for him in the general if he is the nominee. What is so frustrating to me is that most Clinton supporters seem to have a similar attitude and recognize that their second-choice Democrat is better than any of the GOP options. But so many of the Bernie Bros I've encountered are convinced that Bernie is perfect, that Clinton is evil, and that if the nominee isn't Bernie, they might as well not vote. They think there is no difference between Clinton and the GOP. IT'S LIKE THEY'VE COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN THAT 2000 HAPPENED.

Right? It's insane and nonsensical. I get that HRC won't be everyone's first choice but Bernie is (also) a politician and therefore not perfect. Why would it make more sense to vote for a candidate who holds completely opposite views instead of (holding your nose if you must and) voting for Hillary?

Has that really been the case with Bernie supporters you've encountered?
I haven't seen or heard from anyone in my social media circle that has said Bernie or Republican crazy.
BUT GUYS SHE USED 9/11 AS AN ANSWER. OF COURSE HILLARY IS AN EVIL HARPY! Berner fatigue is real.
Like others, I'm intrigued by this story. Like someone else mentioned, if Bernie hates the Democratic party so much -- why is he running on for the D nominee? And by sueing the DNC he just feeds into the insecurity, paranoia and foaming-at-the-mouth, which of course he is - he's a politician. At this point I'm convinced Sanders could get away with murder because HE'S INNOCENT AND NOT A POLITICIAN AND HONEST AND A WHITE GUY - AN OLD WHITE GUY.

Yes. But not Bernie or GOP. Bernie or nothing. It's Bernie-or-I'm-staying-home because of Clinton's ties to Wall Street and corporate America.
H and I talk about this stuff a ton. He has reasons for not liking either of them, and for Clinton, it is related to her corporate ties. BUT that doesn't mean he thinks there is no difference between Clinton and the GOP.
But yes, I've encountered Bernie Bros who claim they just can't be bothered to vote if it's not Bernie. Because Clinton is so terrible.
