I'm going on Friday... I'm excited to see the new cast and to see Anthony Ramos who I missed the first time. I've been on a Hamilton fast for months, so I can't wait to hear the music again.
Oooooohh, please report back on the new Angelica! I saw an old Ham 4 Ham she did, and I'm feeling pretty confident that she'll be amazing!
Look up some videos of her as Nina in In the Heights. She's amazing.
I went to lunch at a Chinese place with coworkers today. The last dishes to come out were 3 orders of General Tso's chicken. When the server came out, the guy next to me said, "Here comes the general."
It was so hard not to start singing. Knowing this guy, it wasn't intentional, either.
I just needed to share with people that would understand.
Also, I don't know if they've been posted, but DD and I found YouTube videos of Hamilton songs set to My Little Pony clips. Some of them are GENIUS.
I'm still loving this room where it's happening podcast!
I love every new episode even more than the one before it! I loved Jasmine talking about auditioning and about how getting cast really pulled her out of a dark place. I loved Chernow's perspective and little tidbits of story we didn't know, I have loved every freaking guest. I love what total geeks the hosts are about it!
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
A new round of tickets to the Chicago show (extended through September 2017) go on sale at 10AM CT on 9/27!!
Our son is PISSED that we're not taking him when we go in January, so we're going to try to go again (because why not, lol)!
Oh shit...my H and I are going to see it in NYC in a few months....but my DS is also going to be so pissed when he finds out. I was going to plan on waiting a couple of years until there is a traveling production to bring him, but maybe we could do a Chicago trip next summer (hot)

We're only a couple hours from Chicago so it's not AS big of a deal for us, but I fully support you going again in the summer! Lol
We're taking Molly (9) with us in January to see it in NYC.........but Lucy is going to be so pissed when she finds out.
I'd love to take her to Chicago - we can get super cheap flights from MSP. Do you think I'd get dirty looks if I brought a 6 year old to the show?
I saw the theatre here says no children under 5 and DD will be 4 3/4 when it's here. I'm still considering taking her (maybe I'll get tickets to a show right before her birthday lol).

The BroadwayChicago website says it's appropriate for 10+ due to strong language but the only restriction is no kids under 4.
Looks like we're both going to have happy little girls!

Dd loves musical theatre (has only seen Shrek, WOZ, and the Little Mermaid) and she loves Hamilton. I'm considering taking her to Chicago for a girls weekend next year. DH and I are going to NYC in May, so it'd have to be after that though! But it's traveling here next year as well, so I may try to get tickets. I just know those will be super hard to get b/c it's a limited show.
insominac I missed that you went to Hamilton! How was New Burr?
New Burr was good! Honestly, it took me a while to warm up to him - I was missing LOJ hard. But by Dear Theodosia, he had me. Oh but he had me. His acting was really excellent too.
New Layfayette needs to work a bit on his French accent, but Thomas Jefferson was on point. I also missed Daveed's hair. Lol
New George Washington was fantastic and brought the house down after One Last Time.
The women were all really great - Angelica and Eliza both!
I think because I was so familiar with the music I could really focus on the acting and staging... All the little asides, gestures, etc really stood out. These folks are really great actors and the show is really fantastic.
