I love so many of the songs. I mean, the whole thing is insanely good start to finish.
I love "Guns and Ships," "Yorktown," "Wait for It," and my god, the Cabinet Battles. C can totally pop out with "GODDAMNED MIND!" It's like her favorite part. She also like, "My...Shot!"
My least favorite song is definitely "What'd I Miss?" I mean, it's still better than most things, but for some reason, I just really don't care for it.
I just love the thought of Thomas Jefferson (who I will always envision as DD in purple because whatever) strolling in being all suave and oblivious like, "oh hey guys I've been in France what's been going on 'round these parts?" Cracks me up every time.
DD nails it in the performance too - he does these cute little shuffle steps... I liked it 100 times better after watching him do it.
So you people have had me listening all week, which is awesome because a) I've had my head down in spreadsheets and b) my coworker is out, so I can turn it up.
A immediately started dancing to Room Where it Happens this morning. And I REALLY want @angryharpy to bust out in the Bernie thread with MOTHERFUCKING DEMOCRATIC REPUBLICANS.
Does your favorite Hamilton song change by the day like mine? Today I'm all about Room Where it Happens, mainly because I am in awe of Leslie Odom, Jr.'s range. Love that guy!
Yes, right now I'm loving Farmer Refuted
I pray the king shows you his mercy... Is he in jersey?
Today was the first day season ticket holders at our theater to upgrade seats. The Hamilton effect is already apparent (it's coming next season), because there was nowhere to upgrade to. There were very, very few available seats at all.
Okay, I moved from row NN to row T but damnit there were better seats available but I couldn't click them and the other seats I wanted, I lost and I didn't have time to check other dates because I started panicking and having flashbacks of not getting Radiohead tickets a few weeks ago and the stupid phone line is busy and I can't make any more adjustments, so now I want to run down the hallway screaming.

Hamilton is ruining my work days. Headphones are not really ok in my office and I can't get the songs out of my head! I too have a weird medley running through my mind at all times, today it was Helpless and The Room Where It Happens.

This is probably one of the few plays where I love the second half as much as the first half. (not that I have seen it, just listened, LOL). I am jamming out to it in my office right now. I have been walking around the last 4 days singing "Alexander Hamilton!!!" My H thinks I am crazy.

Actual depiction of me listening to Acts I and II (or just Blow Us All Away - it starts out so cheerful!)

My son's favorite song is Blow Us All Away, probably because he is three and doesn't understand the words. But he will take my phone, put that song on and curl up in my lap. And them I'm all "I'm not crying, you're crying."
Also, I assume it is only appropriate, when seeing the show live to shout Lafayette at the correct moments and you would be thrown out of the theater is you do not, correct? If it's not, it should be.
IT'S LIKE NOBODY ELSE IS PAYING ATTENTION TO THE MCELROYS!
I assume the MBMBaM/Hamilton fans have re-listened to the episode where LMM is the guestpert. They seem like all they do when they get together is giggle.

Are you a Max Fun donor? Have you heard "Ghost Horse (Fugue for Brotherhorns)?" It's amazing!
I am and I have!! I became a donor last year when I realized there was content I couldn't listen to yet. LMM is the best. His prom photo he posted on the still buffering group was adorable, did you see?
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
LMM was on NPR this morning. He spoke a bit about how he reconciled these figures with their histories of slavery. It was interesting--I wish he spoke for longer on this, because I wanted him to flesh out his thoughts more.

I was singing my daughter to sleep last night (we are at my moms house and DD was being a stinker), and I sang her the first song that was in my head, which was "the world's turned upside down.....the world's turned upside down..." She fell asleep

A friend of mine sings her son Dear Theodosia at bedtime.
My friend is at Hamilton TONIGHT, Jonathan Groff's last show.
I have never been so jealous. Not even when my #1 crush for like 6 years asked my bff to the 8th grade dance. He was no Alexander Hamilton.
I listened to the soundtrack every day this past week and Wait for It on repeat several times.
I don't even know your friend and I'm jealous, too.
I was legit so sad in my jealousy that my husband was all "Honey, she's a single lawyer in Manhattan. That's just easier for her to arrange." And I was all "screw my happy home life, I wanna go to the THEATER RIGHT EFFING NOW."
