Hey can I ask a question about the Chicago theater set-up for anyone who has seen the show there? I did read through the last few pages, but haven't read through every page so I apologize if it's been asked.
Reviews on TA for the theater mention the only bathroom in the place is in the very basement with huge ass lines. Is this true? We are in the Dress Circle and I want to plan my sprint at intermission if there is truly only ONE women's restroom and it's in the basement.
There's a bathroom on the first balcony. The line was long but there were ushers managing it and it moved quickly.
The rush to get in the theater is INSANE. I was hoping to check my coat, but I don't even know if there was a coat check. If I'd tried to find out, I likely would've been trampled to death.
I just got the Priority Booking info for Hamilton in London. Is it crazy for me to consider this when I have passed on $200 tickets in NYC (which is an easy day/overnight trip from my home)?

I got the Priority booking email too!!! I just saw it in NYC and I'm about 95% sure I'm gonna buy tickets for London!
(obviously we won't get to all of this - but I just made a list and we'll tackle what we can before it's SHOWTIME!)
We're touring Hamilton Grange on Saturday afternoon - and hoping to squeeze in Morris-Jumel, as well. And since we're staying that night with my friend in NJ, we're heading to Weehawken (Dawn. Guns Drawn.) at some point too!

Javi tweeted that he's not performing on Tuesday nights beginning this coming Tuesday. I am devastated - I can't even bring myself to tell Molly. We leave Saturday morning and Tuesday is our night to see the show - I'm so sad, you guys.

If you can get reservations, the Grillroom right across from the theatre is SUPER delicious. I've eaten there twice and both meals have been great.

Previews are November 21 - Dec 7, and the show opens Dec 8, 2017 - June 30, 2018 for now.
I'm trying to decide when to buy tickets. Leaning towards May 2017!
I feel like going to London for a show may not be feasible when I'm due with our first kid in June. Waaaaah.
We can just plan our trips to London at the same time. Buy tickets for alternating nights. So I'll watch your kid one night and you can watch mine the next. Voila!
We took my son to Greece when he was 15 months, and I've been thinking with this next kid it might be easier to travel a little earlier. Before they are walking, when I'm still breastfeeding. No problem, right?
Also, I need some Hamilton in my life. My H "promised" me I could go after this kid is born. I never specified where, lol.

DEAL!! God, you're smart
And my parents have already asked if we want to go to Napa with them in March 2018. YES. They asked if I preferred that to March of this year. Hells yes I do. Free babysitting AND I can drink in March 2018!

I was just coming here to ask what to wear but see someone else also asked! I am packing tonight and leaving tomorrow (Chicago show). Sunday matinee and it will be chilly and possibly freezing rain. I am thinking maybe leggings, boots and a nice top that is 3/4 sleeve because I heard the theater can be hot but I also want rubber soles on my shoes.

We went to a matinee so had dinner afterwards, but we went to Trattoria No. 10. Short walk from the theater, and it was really, really good. Great food, service, and atmosphere. I had bought a Hamilton coffee mug and accidentally left it under the chair at my table. They found my info through my Open Table res and called me about it! So I extra like them Highly recommend!

It was amazing! The sets, the dancing, so awesome!
I was a little disappointed by Lexi Lawson. She was good but kind of eh. The understudy for Mandy Gonzales was great! I didn't even realize she was the understudy until after the show. And Javier....swoon. I felt a little weak in the knees after the "I have never been satisfied" and "say no to this" parts. He was really hot.

Saw the Chicago matinee yesterday. Definitely pee before and don't drink much the bathroom lines were INSANE.
Thought the cast was really good. Loved Chris De'Sean Lee as Lafayette/Jefferson he was fabulous, not Daveed of course but really really good. The pies were delish.
jeaniebueller - really? She must have had an off night because DH snd I were OBSESSED with Lexi. She was amazing! How'd the new GW? And HM/JM?
IDK. I mean, she wasn't bad, but her voice was weak at times, like during parts of Burn.
Bryan Terrell Clark as GW was fantastic! Great voice, great stage presence. I really liked him. The new JW/HM was good. I think he is still acclimating to his take on the role, but his voice sounds a lot like Oaks and he had really good timing as JM. I was impressed.

We just saw it and it was so fantastic! Everything I wanted it to be and more. The cast is so talented, and even though I've heard the soundtrack 10 times, there is nothing like seeing it performed live. Now I want to try and go again lol.

Did you see it in NYC? Who was filling in for Javier? You know, at curtain call on Friday, Javier looked visibly upset or in pain so when I saw he tweeted yesterday that he was injured I wasn't too surprised. Seems like he can't get a break lately!

I've been following Chris Lee on Twitter ever since he was cast. I would love to see him!!!!
But we'll probably go to the London show before Chicago.
