I shouldn't be sexist. She has explicitly said she "supports skinheads" so she might be the one directly involved in whatever dust up happened with the cartel, not her husband.
I was literally just coming here to see if it has been discussed. I don't doubt the story, but I certainly believe there is more to it than meets the eye and it wasn't random.

It's all very bizarre. I've been reading a lot about it recently. It's a bit too Gone Girl.
Husband says she has a broken nose, severely beaten, bruised, burned, branded, lost 13 pounds, and spends a few hours in the hospital? They didn't need to tend to any of the burns or the branding?
And what was the "message" that was branded on her?
I read she trimmed marijuana so maybe something to do with drugs but doesn't seem marijuana type stuff.
Her lifelong "I am proud of my heritage and White it right" and her talk previously of breaking a "Latinas" nose now her nose is broken??
Where is her dad to confirm or deny the stories she's told?
So so many off things here.
The woman who saw her at a rest stop a few days before she was released and kept asking her if she needed help if she was being held against her will. Why would she literally ignore this woman right to her face? If she was being held kidnapped I know I would take up someone offering to help.
And the two guys who had her at the truck stop felt comfortable leaving her in the car, they didn't keep one person with her to make sure she didn't run off, it's like they knew she would stay. Why?
It's all so bizarre. And the $50k go fund me.
Obviously I feel badly if she really is a true victim here but there are far too many holes and her white supremacy is making me think of her as less sympathetic, more so after seeing those Pinterest boards omg

RIGHT?! I was ever-so-slightly embarrassed that my first thought upon seeing this on the news: "Oh, I hope there's a thread on this today. I wanna know what everyone else thinks..." 😳
This guy seems off too, he said he's both of their father in law? How can he be both wouldn't he be ones father and the others father in law? I'm in bed with a fever ignore me if this is obvious but not to me.
He works for Best Buy. He goes to people's houses as a Geek Squad-type person
They seemed to have a house/life inconsistent with a husband in that job, no? I don't think they make a ton of $ but I could be mistaken.
I'm pretty sure I read that the house is owned by the husband's parents. The couple recently moved back to the area.
My theory is that Sherri really did write that blog and really is a racist. I think Sherri and the family know exactly who took her and why. Her family may have even paid a ransom without telling police.

Not uncommon for kidnap victims not to seek help, often intimidation, torture, etc makes them too scared and after being with them for a couple weeks they may have had her scared enough to not act. If as speculated (and I think highly possible) there is a cartel/drug connection I expect they threatened to go after her kids if she caused any trouble which may have kept her quiet and agreeable. God knows I'd stay in that situation before risking DD.

One of her pins on that firearms Pinterest board has a caption about "sure which I'd been wearing this [conceal carry holster] today!" from 3 years ago. What kind of trouble does a SAHM upper middle class white lady get herself into that she got involved in an altercation needing a firearm?!

Yeah I know that is possible, but combined with all of the other head scratchers I just don't know. That woman did still call the police and she was found two days later, so maybe it helped after all, even just if it scared them into releasing her. The woman left when a man started walking toward the truck. And the lady just happened to be involved in anti sex trafficking too.

Oh I missed they owned it.
Yes the ransom money went away the day before her release. It was anonymous person. They said it was returned to the bank then was going to be used to help the family recover. So it could've been the parents and they paid the ransom then came up with story of helping the family so the money is accounted for? Just so bizarre. Her Pinterest boards are horrible.

I wouldn't take any captions on pinterest as being written by the person. A lot of people just pin and don't change them.

This story is so, so weird. And with the details being released by the H, and not the police, I'm not ready to buy her story.
But, if it's true, what happened to all those weapons she had strapped to her body?
Her Pinterest makes me believe she'd never leave home without packing in her bra and/or bike shorts, sneakers, ponytail, etc. . was she not armed when she was kidnapped? Or did she just not know how to property use her arsenal? Maybe the kidnappers turned her own weapon against her, which can happen when you don't know how to handle your own guns but wanna appear to be a badass on the internet. . .
I feel the need to add the disclaimer that the above is not victim blaming, obviously. I'm just not sure she's a victim.

I read somewhere that her husband said she wasn't armed when she was jogging.

Why is there an nl at the beginning of the pinterest links? I read about this the other day and I wasn't sure what to think but my god those pinterest boards are horrific.

Isn't that when you'd most wantn to be armed, though? By yourself, running who knows where?

I am located in the Netherlands so it could be my post of the Pinterest link has the nl for that reason?

This whole thing is bizarre.
I think she and her husband crossed someone and they took her as ransom/to get information. She was returned when they got what they wanted. Maybe drugs or guns?
share.memebox.com/x/uKhKaZmemebox referal code for 20% off! DD1 "J" born 3/2003 DD2 "G" born 4/2011 DS is here! "H" born 2/2014 m/c#3 1-13-13 @ 9 weeks m/c#2 11-11-12 @ 5w2d I am an extended breastfeeding, cloth diapering, baby wearing, pro marriage equality, birth control lovin', Catholic mama.
I'm guessing she wasn't carrying a gun when she was kidnapped because according to her Pinterest she could would have fired the weapon and been okay. *sarcasm*

Someone else's had it but perhaps that's the case since I think if you posted it first, they'd be on there easier to navigate around.

Haven't read responses yet, so this may have already been said, but the first thing my H said was, "Well, shit - they made some videos and then let her go. Disgusting. But thank God she's alive." So I would imagine, unless one is into that sort of thing, we'll never know unless she makes it public herself (which I can't really imagine her doing, as it seems that sort of thing would be easier to apprehend if it were NOT made public).
ETA: Huh, I didn't know about the skinhead connection. Never mind me. See, that's why I come here for all of my news.
