I'm wondering if she left the hospital AMA. Suspicious, suspicious.
You have to be admitted to check out AMA. I've walked out of an ER before, and it's nothing like checking out AMA (which I've also done).
This is true. AMA is the wrong term to use, but it still begs the question, Why did she leave? I mean, these people know where she lives. Why in the world would she want to leave the hospital? I'm very slowly shuffling more into UWR's camp but honest to God my brain cannot let me think a person would purposely have this done to themselves or their wife as part of some godforsaken scheme. I cannot. I am becoming more flummoxed by the minute. I hate that I am so suspicious.
No shit! Seriously they tell you you're being released and it's still hours of papers. And for the lady who was kidnapped etc it's all no biggie? Can't buy it right now.
And why, if there are two Hispanic women on the loose kidnapping complete strangers why aren't the police warning people to be careful etc? Are they and it's not making news?
A lady was killed while jogging in my state not too long ago and honest to God the whole town and surrounding area went ape shit; how can we ever go out again? We're not letting our grown daughters jog alone ever again!! Grown men talking about sleeping with a gun under the pillow in case they decide to home invade next. So I find it odd if the police truly believe it's a random thing why others aren't at risk and warning them.
This brings up a good issue, too. There has been nothing of the sort around here.
They did mention that everyone needs to keep their door locked and call for anything weird yadayada

I think he's saying what they want him to say. This doesn't look anything like sex trafficking to me. For one, she doesn't fit the typical profile of a sex trafficking victim (she's older and privileged), nor do the woman she's accusing fit the profile of perpetrators (83% of traffickers are male), but traffickers would not typically take someone, beat them, and then release them three weeks later.
These are the red flags that say hoax to me:
1) the husband's wording. Everything he has said is like he's writing a novel. Its very weird.
2) the woman who saw her on the side of the road said she noticed her long blonde hair. Now it's cut off? No wait? Shaved. It's shaved off. Weird weird weird.
3) there's the account from someone - albeit not from a credible site or witness - that she faked an abduction back in 2006.
4) the husband claims they weren't active on social media until now, which, given his wife's racist ass Pinterest and Photobucket accounts, is clearly a lie.
5) if this was a legitimate kidnapping, why would they release her? Especially since she supposedly saw her kidnappers, as well as the vehicle they took her in? It makes no sense.
6) why wouldn't they have her stay in the hospital?
Also, someone on the Then Comes family Board posted a photo She has in her Photobucket of her "sleeping" at the hospital following what might have been breast augmentation surgery. To me it looks like she's faking being asleep for the photo. This is not a big deal, but it's annoying.
Anyway, I'm hoping the Eyes for Lies blog weighs in on this. Her analyses are usually fascinating.
ETA - I keep forgetting other things. The earbuds were just placed neatly on the ground, coiled on top of her phone, which at the very least suggests someone deliberately put them there, the husband was wandering around looking forlorn for photo shoots while they were supposedly trying to find his wife, AND now he's releasing information to the public the cops don't want released, which compromise the investigation.
Following the link above there is a video from Cameron Gamble called Taken (or something). He had a training program called Project Taken which would help people learn how to avoid or get out of kidnapping situations.
What if what happened to Sherri Papini was a simulation gone wrong? Or she took the training and part of it was that when you least suspect it you would be abducted and treated in a manner very realistically and have to get out of it. This is my tinfoil hat theory.
Been following this story on several sites trying to make sense of it all. Some thoughts here: - why haven't we heard anything about who took her in the first place? Was it a man/men/the two women? And how did they take her? Grabbed, by gunpoint, what? - it was stated that there was a lot of traffic where Sherri was let out - interesting that no one spotted this happening/reported seeing the SUV. - why is the H saying how upsetting it is to Sherri about what people are saying on social media - if you just had this horrible traumatic thing happen, who the F cares about even looking at social media. Me thinks they do protest too much. Totally agree w whoever said the H is concentrating way more on calling out people on social media rather than the perps. - did the cops ask Sherri about the woman who saw her in the truck at the gas station prior to her release? - hard to believe this was related to sex trafficking but no sex took place - too risky for the perps to go to all that trouble. Although, it's possible she went willingly at first and then got in over her head. Maybe she was already an escort - a SAHM earning some extra cash on the side to pay for private airplane trips. will be interesting to see what cops find on all their electronic equip. My theory is that this was Sherris ploy to get more attention from H. Possibly mental illness like BPD or BIpolar Disorder. And/Or, possibly a long meetup w another dude Or an escort job gone bad.
Did you just join the board to comment on this or are you an old person under a new name?

Also, some people on Reddit call out the husband for his use of the word "sub human", which is white supremacist language. Given what we know about Sherri's racist rants - especially against people who are Hispanic - I'm super suspicious about their claim the women who "kidnapped" her were Hispanic.
Maybe it's a new diet craze invented by Hispanic women and brought to the US. Guaranteed to lose 23 pounds in 3 weeks and even more after they have to wire your jaw shut so you can't eat and beat the shit out of you so you won't feel like eating. It's the newest craze in south America. This sounds just as plausible to me as their story. I will be floored if their story is true, stranger things have happened.
This Cameron Gamble guy is shady. Reddit told me so it must be true.
He's on the interwebs claiming to be an experienced negotiator in hostile foreign nations and a government consultant, and also listed as a missionary funded by various churches, but had to file bankruptcy in 2013. His business license has been cancelled.
But he's still on TV talking about how revolutionary his ransom offer was....
Wait a cotton pickin minute! Just watched the Gamble video and did I really hear him say at the end how his negotiation process "has never been done before in the history of the us" and "we made history.... if in fact this really did happen"... what??!! I thought he was 100% that this was not a hoax. Hmmmm...
Are you fucking serious?

Whoa...Absolutely wasn't meant as racist in any way.
Meant or not it is a racist phrase. Editing it is the right thing to do.

I know. It's a phrase that has racist connotations and a very racist history.

I did edit it but you guys keep reposting it - which is weird if you're so offended by it. So delete your copies for crying out loud.
First, only one person quoted your original comment.
Second, you need to remember you're new here. While we like newcomers, we don't like attitude. If YOU have a problem with the way we do things around here, you might want to lurk a bit longer before jumping into the fray.
You're welcome to stay but you are obligated to follow the customs and rules of this board.
THIS seems sketchy as well. If he's a private detective hired by the family, shouldn't he have spoken to her by now??
...Bill Garcia, who was hired by Papini’s family during the 22 days she was missing, told the show, “I suspect based in the types of injuries Sherri incurred, the beatings, the broken nose, the cut hair, especially the chains and the branding, indicate that most likely it was one of these sex trafficking groups.”
You'd think that Sherri should have at least an INKLING of why she was taken and what activities happened during her disappearance. But this guy is just going off of what the media has said?
Also, why did they hire a "veteran human trafficking expert" while missing, before anyone knew what happened (since, as said by underwaterrhymes , she wasn't a typical victim), who now thinks it was sex trafficking?

Missed it, elaborate on douchey? I saw a commercial for the special and had a little wine and next thing I know it's now, did he change your mind or cement it?

Did you ever watch Scott Peterson after his wife Laci went missing? It's like the same interview.
Man, you guys played the long game here. I barely even recall this thread. It's been six years!
I didn't even realize it was that long ago! I just looked at the months and wondered how I could forget since dec, thinking it was dc 2021 which is when I was traveling, so I thought I'd just missed it. 6 years!
