I guess I'll find out next week if I'm in or not. It's so crazy early this year! I'll either be giving birth, cheering, or walk/running?? DH said no way to running a 3rd trimester marathon, and I better damn well be at in a 3rd tri by then ;-) Will see what happens. If I can help it, I will be at that marathon in some shape or form, whether participating, volunteering or cheering. I hope the pricetag means awesome 40th anni swag

Good luck!! I'm in awe of anyone who can run whilst pregnant.
Yes - it is expensive, I just figured that US races were pricey. As a comparison, London Marathon cost me 35GBP (50USD) which is on the cheap side, actually.
So are we making this a GTG? Tickets from CLT are cheap to MDW on Southwest, I'd totally be up for that (barring any catastrophes in my work or personal life).
arch01 , YES! Definitely. I'm coming and I will personally make sure there is a dinner/drinks/something that happens. At the very least, I will be there at the bar waiting with a drink. DO IT!

Are you supporting or running?
Supporting. I don't do full marathons!
Chicago is always the weekend right around my birthday-I'll definitely be drinking

Yes come! I'm pretty sure there will be 2 extra spots in the apartment I got for the weekend. And there is a 5k

Ohhh I can do a 5k!! I am going to lay the groundwork this weekend.

[br There is extra space. My girlfriends and I are doing another weekend trip elsewhere. Also to those keeping up with this, there is space for one more. The beds are only double beds but super close to everything. With a kitchenette. It was the cheapest I could find so there may be rats but there's a fridge for booze...

$50! I'm coming to London next
Do it!!! The lottery is notoriously hard (some people enter 8 years in a row without getting in) but you'd qualify under good for age (GFA) based on your times I think! Plus, I would happily host you at mine!

Ha! Just proposed this to DH and he said "you totally should"

hannahb and @cheshire, GFA is only for residents of the U.K. Our only shot is the lottery or fundraising . There's actually also some travel/group tour thing that's tied to the race that I need to look into. Thanks for nothing, London!

Our Chicago lottery girls find out today!!
Oh bollocks - that's London for you - this would never happen in the north! Waiiiitttt.. how about you use my address?? It's not like you have to show a driving license to pick up your race bib. I'm just saying! We could definitely get around that. I am sure you wouldn't have to use a UK marathon to get in.
Sooooo... I bought my flights! I can fly direct too and it's only 8.5 hours! I'm so excited to be coming back and seeing so many of you! This will be epic!!

When are you getting in and leaving? Which airport? Probably O'Hare. I'll start looking soon but will most likely be on southwest so in and out of midway

Yep - O'Hare! I arrive 1455 on Friday, leaving Monday Monday 1920. Got a good deal on a business class seat so I can rest my crappy legs. Need to message you about something - will tap you a note on FB.
