I am also unable to take a compliment on things I own. It's like when someone gives me one, I either have to give a fun fact ("thanks it's courdoroy!!") or skip straight to feeling like I need to yell "THIS? ITS ACTUALLY REALLY SHITTY BYE."
Also seriously tell me where I can sell used designer shit or someone find a poor friend to buy these used shoes for their kid for Christmas. PIC POOF because now I know where to sell them yessssss.
I also have them in nude patent... but am highly concerned that I can't figure out where the hell i put them.
Possibly but not for awhile. Felicity is coming back out in 2017 so it seems like they are cycling them in and out. Caroline is pretty easy to find new in box for less than retail though so all hope is not lost.
Where would I look? I've only seen jacked up prices.
I've seen them on local b/s/t Facebook groups mostly.
Couldn't they have made those AG dolls a little cuter about the face? Seeing them all lined up like that kind of creeps me out.
All dolls are creepy! It's a rule.
Actually part of the reason I am willing to pay jacked up AG prices is because I think their faces are the cutest. The Target brand ones freak me out. That and their hair is why I buy them. Just spray some water and it's like magic with a wig brush.
I don't mind buying used things for myself. I'm currently eyeing this bag which is used and I think it's striking!
But I personally I think spending $500 on a bag (used or not) for a 6th grader is kind of insane. Unless you're so rich that $500 is peanuts to you. But even then it's just weird to me, that's a pricey gift objectively and a 6th grader is a child
What about 500 on a gaming system?
A child doesn't carry around a gaming system (unless its like a gameboy or whatever, but those aren't the $500 systems we are referring to)

yes, but these are particularly homely. I don't understand why they can't be cuter.

Maybe I have bad taste because I think they are cute! Lol. Seriously though I find their eyes the least freaky.
Scarlett has asked for a few of the target brand dolls over the years and i never follow through because their eyes/faces terrify me. www.ogdolls.com/dolls/brielle

they all need some eyebrows. Those Wellie Wishers are cute though.
I have some badass used designer bags that I got crazy deals on. There are some real gems out there, and I'm way more likely to wear them when I didn't drop a grand.

My kid has a Michael kors bag as her main school bag but she paid 1/2 and after spending $50 every semester it made sense since she's now had it 2 1/2 years. It was $200.She bought her own MK wallet. Did buy her a coach side purse years ago but that was $50. No way am I spending $500 on a purse even fit myself.
Buying used doesn't mean you don't have the money, or mean you are too stupid to know how to buy an authentic bag.
Well, and God. On top of that, just because I can't afford a brand new LV doesn't mean I'm a crap person. I don't get the "Tee hee! You can't AFFORD it!" glee.
I mean, this is ML. Everyone here is so perfect and enlightened and clearly judgement free.
Today, a five year old told me Santa's bringing her a horse for Christmas. I'm 99.9% sure she means a toy one. But it did make the purse seem pretty reasonable.

The difference between a $500 game system and a $500 purse is that the purse is likely to be brought to school every day or at least often. In the 10 years I taught middle school, no one ever had their Xbox or PS4 lost or stolen, but they often lost things like iPhones (or more accurately, had them stolen) and our lost and found looked like a NorthFace store. i don't care if people spend $500 on a single gift for their child, but I'd personally be hesitant to give a 6th grader a bag of that value, only because I know how often kids that age lose stuff. But she knows her kid/school/finances so that's her decision.
