I can't decide if I should get a Clarisonic or not. And I can't decide whether to get the Mia 1 or Mia 2.
I have an Olay Pro-X cleansing brush that needs to be replaced and I can't decide if I should get another one or just splurge and get a Clarisonic.
Did you like the Olay? I keep eyeing it in the store.
I actually do!
I had this one for close to 4 years now and last night, I decided I'm just going to save my money and just buy another one instead of spending $170 on a Clarisonic.
The Pro-X sitting in my Amazon cart right now has 3-speeds so that must be the new model. My current one is only a 2-speed.
So I bought the NYX micro bow pencil in chocolate. I am not impressed. The pencil part kept sliding out during the one time I used it, and my Brows had a maroon color to them. When does chocolate ever have a reddish tone to it? I think I am going to return it to ulta even though I hate returning items I used. Gonna stick with gimme brow

I realized yesterday that my foundation looks ok inside but once I go outside you can see that it's orange. I bought it less than a month ago, this will be the second time in six months I've returned foundation that is too dark/orange. I might just wing it and go back to a drugstore brand or just stick with Tarte BB primer even though I'd like a little more coverage.
I was driving to work today and I saw that a Kmart is going out of business so naturally we stopped. I picked up WnW Reserve your Cabana and Rimmel's Stay Matte. I'm going to have to look up the best drugstore items so I can pick some up the next time I drive by.

Oh that's a bummer about your foundation. Is it maybe oxidizing on you?

Try the Maybelline dream fresh BB cream! I love it and I'm a department store snob all the way!

I just bought one on Amazon as a birthday present for myself! I've been eyeing it too. Thanks!

I think that's possible plus just being too dark to begin with. I'm usually fair, maybe light and they had me at light - medium so I think it was just all around wrong. I also must look very yellow in the stores, next time I should go outside and into my car before I purchase, lol.

How did you choose your color? I find it nearly impossible to pick one without trying it first.

I don't know, I kind of just looked at the tube. Light medium looked too light so I picked medium. It's so sheer that it works Eta I wear Nars Barcelona in the sheer glow and St Moritz in the TM, if that helps.

There's also only a few shades. Ulta didn't have anything lighter that light/medium so I got that. It looked too dark when I squeezed it out, but it sheered out.
Mine just got here last weekend. I like it. I prefer my existing base (Josie Marin moisturizer with CoverFX drops), but I had been looking for something quick and cheap for weekend mornings, when I run errands, go to the dog park, go to Pilates, etc before showering and doing my whole face. I will also use it when I go to Hawaii next month, since it's matte, and I don't want extra shine from the JM moisturizer in the humidity.
I used a foil sample of the Tatcha camellia cleansing oil last night, and I think I'm in love. Which is not good, b/c I have 2 other bottles of cleansing oil (Oh- and a cleansing balm, so make that 3 other products) to use before I can even THINK about purchasing this spendy product.

The end of the UD potion primer is like the end of a toothpaste tube. You think you have the last bit out, but you squeeze to be sure, and out pops another dose. I swear I've been "done" with this primer for like 2 weeks now, and I still got some out this morning.

It's in a squeezy tube, right? Try cutting it in half when you think it's REALLY done and...they'll be like another 5 uses in there. at least. it's crazy.
I'm a cheap ass. I get EVERY LAST DROP of my stuff out of containers when it's something i like.

Dropping in out of the blue
I started Curology this week. My pores and fine lines were starting to depress me. This is my 4th day, and I think I'm already seeing results. My skin is definitely a different texture and a dark spot is diminishing! My skin does feel really dry, though. Maybe it's a good thing? I tend to be oily which I think has exacerbated my large pores and acne. I'm also going to use up the Drunk Elephant Hydra B, and go with the moisturizer they recommended. I think the DE moisturizer will be perfect in the summer. It's been so cold and dry here.

Anyone else using Curology? Thoughts?
I don't use Curology but I get prescription tretinoin from my dermatologist. It can cause really extreme dryness, when I was first adjusting to it, I had to use vaseline. Just a warning, it can also cause purging.

My skin immediately started purging. The first morning, I woke up with a bunch of tiny whiteheads on my chin, nose and between my eyebrows. The 2nd morning I woke up with a giant whitehead on the outside of my left nostril. Crazy! My previous acne was bigger, deeper, and took forever to heal. This has all been temporary, thank goodness. How long have you been using tretinoin?

I love my brows! The benefit brow bar at Ulta did a great job. Then I dropped a lot of money on makeup. Oops lol. It was stuff I wanted for a while and it was my first pay check in over 2 months so I'm not going to kick myself for splurging on myself.

3.5 months. Unfortunately using it helped me (and my derm) to realize my acne is hormonal which is really tough to treat. They just switched me to a new birth control pill in hopes that it will help. I have had great skin for a decade with little to no effort and turning 30 brought out the insane hormonal breakouts that are worse than puberty. Ugh. The good news is that the rest of my skin - the non-breakout areas - look really great since I started tretinoin! Glowy and my wrinkles are less pronounced (although again I'm 30 so they weren't dramatic to begin with but still - they are improving!).

i use Curology. I'm coming up on a year. I love it. Though I noticed I get more dry patches and I have to be super vigilant about moisturizing.
Prior to using Curology, I had dark spots on my upper lip that I was super self conscious about and within a couple of months they were and have stayed completely gone! Even throughout the summer. I have been staying on top of my sunscreen game though.
What's the moisturizer they recommend? I don't remember what it is. I recently picked up Stravia liquid gold and so far I really like it.
I dealt with purging too. It subsided after awhile though.
On CyberMonday, I had taken advantage of a GiltCity deal where I got a $200 voucher to CoverFx for $80. I finally just spent my voucher. Got two bottles of my foundation drops, a setting powder, a face oil, and a bottle of those illuminator drops. After I applied the voucher, my cost was $20. Considering two bottles of my foundation drops would have cost $88+tax, I'll call that a good deal.
I ordered a bunch of stuff (too much?) from tarte and it arrived today, and... yeah, Shape Tape is awesome and all. But I'm in love at first wear with their Amazonian clay stuff. I got foundation, concealer, blush, and colored CC primer, and I love it all. Normally cream foundations make my skin too dewy pretty quickly, like my makeup is sliding off my face. But hours later I still feel and look nice and matte. Win!
I also ordered some LipSense from an internet friend, and I hope I like it.
Boo I'm out of sheet masks and my face is crazy dry from being sick:( That'll teach me for not reordering any.
Do you have TJ Maxx nearby? I've found a variety of masks there!
I posted that at 10pm for me plus I'm sick and it's below zero outside lol. I'm not going anywhere. I'll probably grab something from Ulta this weekend. That's for the TJ max suggestion though I'll have to see if I have one around, I usually order from Amazon.
