I would like to institute some sort of complaint campaign where we all start nagging ulta on social media about how much surepost sucks so maybe they switch to a different default. Like, would it kill you to pay the extra couple of bucks for regular UPS??
UPS? That's what it says on the tracking. I never paid attention until now. LOL.
Ulta really got on my nerves with their shipping during the holidays. I think the delivery date changed 3 times! Annoying. I ordered stuff on Dec 24th and didn't get the box until Jan 5th.
I...wouldnt' expect much better from anybody else on christmas? I'm always a little befuddled by people who get pissy about shipping, particularly in cases like ordering on christmas eve when everybody is slammed - is it that the things haven't actually SHIPPED or is it UPS/FedEx/USPS dicking you around? Once something leaves the company's hands, I usually stop judging whether they suck or not anymore as long as they didnt' use some fly-by-night shipping that I can't track, ya know? Not that I work for ulta or anything, so no skin off my back if you switch to a different source for your stuff.
My only quibble with ulta is that they use the surepost to cut costs, but surepost blows chunks because the handoff from UPS to USPS always adds an extra delay. If sephora uses straight up UPS, then yeah, that's better.
Oh I didn't expect anything better from Ulta at all. This wasn't the first time I ordered from them. The other times I ordered, their shipping was slow AF too.
I feel like Ulta's shipping is loads better than it was maybe a year a half ago. I distinctly remember waiting a week and a half for shit, whereas now it's 3-4 days depending on how bad my local post office dicks around with the package. I hate UPS Surepost and the fedex equivalent. HATE.
wineandcheese, how did you contact them? I messaged them on Facebook just this morning about an issue with a recent order and a few minutes ago received a gift card via email as compensation for my trouble.
Sandra Lee was just on some weirdo daytime show on The Hallmark Channel talking about makeup. Apparently she thinks that $35 MUFE powder and $38 LM powders are something that EVERYONE can afford.

uggh. YES. I hate surepost. We have a UPS terminal in my town. My local post office doesn't handle packages, all of our packages route through another town. So my surepost packages have to come to my town, drive past my house to the other town, then come back before I get them. It drives me freakin' insane.

same!! The post office like 3 blocks from my house isn't actually my post office thanks to some weirdness in our zipcode map so the post office that actually delivers my stuff is like 5 miles north of my house. (my neighbor recently put in a request to have that redrawn. I'm really hoping it goes through), The UPS distribution center is about 8 miles south of my house. THEY DRIVE RIGHT BY ME WITH MY DAMN PACKAGES.
I have found a company with more annoying shipping than Ulta.
Apparently my CoverFx order is coming from Canada. I knew they were a Canadian company, but I assumed they had a warehouse in the US. They don't. Not only that, but my shipment crossed customs in Detroit, was then shipped to Ohio, where it sat for a day, and has now been shipped to Indiana, where it is currently sitting. Can't wait to see where it goes next.

I had a 15% of voucher for Dermologica. In the past I loved a sample of their Daily Exfoliant, so ordered it. I got it Wednesday. My skin feels so good. I think it fits in well with my other products, using it in the shower in the mornings. I also got a sample of a couple of printers so we'll see how they work. Wearing the redness one today.
I ordered Rapidlash and Dermadoctor Kakadu Vit C Serum from Costco.com and the Rapidlash came from the company itself. Good price $49.99 for a 2 pack, same for the Vit C serum

I went and spent my points at Ulta today. I do have to say these makeup brush made me happy, I love Disney, and we're in clearance for $5.
They didn't have anything I wanted in stock except a lipstick I wanted to get H's aunt. So I bought some clearance stuff, lashes, another blush brush and brush cleaner.
I finally used the MR knockoff of the Naked 3 palette. I'm surprised that I like the shades so much. Really surprised.
Does anyone know if the MR baked highlighters are in a pan that can be de-potted? I tried poking around and I don't see a pan in mine. It's like it's baked into the packaging.

I ordered the Strivectin set that is 50% off at ulta today. I feel like it's past time to up my skin care game. I also used the 20% off combined with buy one, get one 50% off of NYX and Maybelline to pick up a few things. So far my buying less this year isn't going so well.
So has anyone tried anything from "alpha skincare" brand at ulta? It's on sale right now, there are only about 10 products but they all have active/effective ingredients. (Hydroquinone, aha, retinol, etc). The reviews are high, and beautypedia ranks them high for packaging and ingredients. I am thinking about grabbing a few items.
I am also intrigued by the formula 10.0.06 brand. I am sure it's not good and probably for teenagers but I want to buy a peel and mud mask. I think the packaging is what is drawing me in.
Yay Mac restocked the Selena collection and I grabbed the 2 lipsticks I wanted:) Because I totally need another red and a nude lol. I did hold off on getting the eyeshadow quad that Tati was hyping up in her video today though, go me.
Was on my way into TJs, but Sephora is next door and I was but a moth to a flame.
Got a Bite multi-stick in Papaya, and since it's got powder in it, I had to get the Bite Agave lip moisturizer (my hands were tied). Also finally got Kat Von D tattoo liner. And UD eyelid anti-aging primer.

Did anyone else get a survey from Ulta? It was asking about interest in purchasing brands like Hourglass, MAC, Chanel, YSL, Smith & Cult, Amika, MUFE, and a few others. I would be so pumped if they started to carry these brands. I know a bunch of you are hating Ulta, but my closest Sephora is a JCP one 1.5 hours away.

I've been using a deluxe sample of Tidal for awhile now and I'm pretty sure it is my new favorite day moisturizer. I'm not sure what it is supposed to be used for but that is how I'm using it and I love it. I'm planning on buying a full size.
