Has anyone tried Kat Von D's brightening Lock it Setting powder? I'm looking at the Petal one for under eyes. I have dry undereyes so the Sephora people told me to use the Laura Mercier one, but all the reviews say there's terrible flashback on it. And it makes my eyes looks all crepey and gross. So Sephora told me not to set my concealer at all with powder, but I tried that and it's smudge/crease city.
Does the Kat Von D one have flashback? I didn't see it mentioned in reviews, but I didn't read them all. Any word on how drying it is?

I don't have experience with the Kat Von D one but do not get the LM illuminating one. Personally I need a matte powder for the undereyes. Anything with shimmer just looks terrible.
kategm, I have the same under eye struggles and I have yet to find a powder that doesn't age me 30 years when applied on my under eye. Right now I just take my brush after I dust off powder on the rest of my face and quickly half sweep it on the concealer, concentrating on the outer to middle under eye and then top of my cheek. I avoid doing anything to the inner portion.

Does your mascara smear onto your lower eye? Because that's why I started setting with powder in the first place - any non dry area is a magnet for mascara smudges.

Not unless I rub my eye. I need something to take down the shine from the concealer I use and maybe give it a little staying power.
Has anyone else purchased a multipack of RT sponges lately and noticed that one of the sponges is really deformed? I opened a 2 pack back in December and one sponge was fine, while the other one was cut really unevenly. It was not as big as normal, the flat side was cut funny and there wasn't as sharp a point. I threw it in a drawer and forgot about it. I went to open the pack I just ordered and the same exact thing happened with this new pack.
WTF. I'm going to wet both of them in the morning to see if they straighten out, otherwise I'm returning the 2 deformed sponges to Ulta this weekend and getting new ones.
I'm sitting on my hands. I do not need the Lorac Pirates of the Caribbean collection. NOPE.
It's so nice. The LAST thing I need is more highlighter and I could not leave the store with out the highlighter/blush palette. It's perfect for traveling bc it's in cardboard packaging, has a good mirror, a blush, light bronzer and 4 highlighters. It's perfect!

I rotate foundations quite often based on the color/coverage I need. I went back to my beloved Too Faced BB cream and fell in love all over again. I thought "heyyyy I better buy more while I have these Ulta and Sephora coupons". Nope. Discontinued. I'm devastated. #champaignproblems

I feel like saw some TF BB creams at my Nordstrom Rack recently. Might be worth a look. I have the same problem with their tinted Shadow Insurance primer. My tube is finally running out and they don't sell the tinted ones anymore:(

I decided that on my WFH days, I'm going to start trying out new makeup colors, application techniques, etc. This morning I decided to pull out the TF Totally Cute palette that I picked up for cheap at the Rack. I bypassed the shadows that I was drawn to and went straight for the orange and warm brown shades that I never wear.
Shockingly, I like the look so far. I did a crap job blending, but maybe I can refine that as the day goes on and I have a bit of free time (not on a call). I think a lot of it is that I've lightened my hair, but hey it works for today.

I'm not usually one to give into gimmicky things but I bought the Potc eyeshadow pallette and loved it so much that I went back and bought the cheek palette.
There is no way the I Love Brunch palette was the same formula. These are just gorgeous and so easy to blend. I've been missing out on their pro shadows. If you have been thinking about buying it, just do it.
Laura Palmer , what color of TF BB are you looking for? I have 3 unopened brand new ones that I probably won't use.
I think it's the shade Vanilla (or Vanilla [something])
*crosses every finger and toe!*
I'd have to double check. I looked this morning and didn't write it down. I think I have 2 that are called Linen and 1 that's....damn it. I can't remember. But I know it's not Vanilla. I'll double check to be sure.

Thank you for checking and thinking of me regardless!

My Morphe palettes came! After a huge runaround thanks to UPS refusing to leave my package and making me drive across town to a pickup location, I finally have my eyeshadows. So far all of the shimmers have swatched beautifully, super smooth and buttery with good color payoff. Most of the mattes I've tried have been good too, might need a little layering on a few of the lighter colors. Overall, I'm pretty happy with them, especially for the price.
So I'm like years behind the bandwagon on this, but the original Naked palette? LOVE. Just bought it with Ulta points last week. When I first got into makeup, I thought it was going to look awful on me, and never considered it. I've been on a nude/brown kick lately and love bronze shadows so I decided to try it out. It's ahhhhmazing and I have no idea why I turned my nose up at it for so long.

Has anyone used the Clarisonic foundation brush? I got it with the Ulta coupon and I like it, but can't tell if it's better than the BB. I may be biased because I watched Tati's review of it and am all "Yes. I love this too."

I'm panning this one this year and I really do love it. I'll be sad when it's gone.

Aww, this was my first palette ever. I remember the days when it was quite difficult to get your hands on one.
I thought about getting it again but I really should use up the ones I still have.
FYI - the Urban Decay Afterglow blushes are also on sale at sephora now for 15.60. they have been at ulta for awhile. but if you have flash shipping at sephora it's great to pick up and not have to meet the 50 buck minimum ulta has.
they have the powder foundation on sale too. make me wonder if some of these things will be getting re-packaged, re-vamped by UD soon...

I think so. I got a loose powder on big sale at Ulta.

Damn Ulta and their Beauty Breaks combined with a promo bag. I ordered the IT CC cream, some shampoo and conditioner, UD blush in Kinky which I've wanted since it came out, and the Too Faced Naturals pallet.
