I just spent 20 minutes in my happy place: Sephora.

I wanted to scout out some items I might get with the sale next week. Marc Jacobs gel eyeliner for tightlining is a possibility, if it plays well with not smudging too much today. Nars velvet glide lip in a color Le Main something or other, so pretty.

And I tested out a million highlighters. Some are just sparkles, not my fave. Sephora has a few liquid ones that have a slightly different "flash" (the color in the background that comes out in the light, gold, pink, etc) and are 14 each that were lovely. And I liked the Too faced Ray of light and the UD liquid in fireball. And then the prettiest and more natural "glow" of all was the Chosungah 24k gleam highlighter but damned if it doesn't smell like powdered old lady.

So I bought the It's a 10 leave in spray for the first time ever. My Ulta didn't have the Matrix sprays that kristie recommended in my other thread , that's what I was planning on buying. But they didn't have it, I was in a rush and figured I'd try it out since I had the $3.50 off coupon.

I get to the front and the coupon doesn't work for It's a 10. Like I mentioned, I was in a rush so I just bought it because I'm completely out of my old stuff and my hair is suffering.

Now I'm annoyed because I feel like I'm going to fall in love with it. Hopefully it will last longer than I'm expecting. We are buying a house so I'm really trying to watch every penny and I'm just annoyed. I know it's not the end of the world, but $20 for a 4 oz leave in conditioner is a lot of money to me!

Oh yeah, part of the reason I was in such a rush was because I was supposed to just pop in and grab the leave in conditioner but I got distracted by a new No. 7 display. We've always had the skincare but now my Ulta is carrying the makeup too!

This is a big deal because my town has no Target (!!!) and I've really been wanting to try out their Lift and Luminate foundation. There was also a new NYX display.

So I definitely need to go back when I have more time.

Both are striking me as OMGBBQAMAZING quality, especially for the price, and it seems like they're not necessarily a go-to brand...


Anybody have any experience with them, good or bad? They're about to supplant my favorite drugstore brands, and I want to know if there's a catch.

They blantantly, obviously, have no shame, rip off prestige brands. KVD posted a pick of her palette and MR's palette on IG, it was obvious a rip off right down to the packaging. I don't really have a dog in this fight. I do think MR could be a little more discreet in their duping of prestige MU.

I had a crap ton of free bottles of that. I recent just donated them as I didn't even try. I wish I had known, o would have sent them to you. Oh well, hindsight.

Yes this. I've never bought their products cause I think they go too far in 'duping' some eyeshadow palettes. I'm all for affordable options but a lot of their stuff is just straight up copies.

Wow, what a sweet offer! I mean, I will be fine, I just hate to buy something expensive kind of knowing it's a one time thing because I really do think a lot of the time you get what you pay for. Usually I don't go for high end items so I don't know what I'm missing lol.

Listen, I have a big bottle of it's a 10, I am just careful with it because I feel like I can go through it surprisingly fast. It's annoying. Ulta excludes it from their coupons, but J.C. Penney doesn't.

And ulta has both of the matrix sprays on sale right now for 9.99. So grab one of those online and then alternate using both. You won't feel so bad about the first purchase because it will last longer. Tada!

i don't know why I didn't try it. I meant to and then I never did and I had multiple samples. At one point, at my Ulta, every time I walked in they handed me a sample. I did a major purge recently and found four or five bottles, they went into the donation pile along with a ton of other samples I've never used.

I got splashed in the face by oil last night when I was cooking and am sporting the makeup free look today. I filled in my eyebrows and wore sunscreen but that's all I could manage. Thankfully there doesn't appear to be any real damage, but I was freaking out a little bit right after it happened.

I went by Sephora again today (it's just around the corner from Target) to try some more highlighters. I think I found my dream highlighter-Dior luminizer 003. OMG, the perfect gorgeous golden glow

I've gotten a lot of free bottles from ulta too, but I use it:-) I have not had to buy it in forever and I use it every time I wash my hair.

I recieved my sephora order today and my 100 pt perk was wrong. I emailed them and asked the to credit my account as I'm pretty sure they aren't going to send me a becca sample. Ugh, totally annoyed.

So I have pretty bad hair loss around my temples thanks to having a baby, but I came up with an awesome solution. I sprayed colored dry shampoo on those areas and it really fills them in. I wish I had thought of this with my son! I have a bumble and bumble one that I never used bc it's pretty dark and would make my fingers brown when I touched my hair, but it's worth it to not look bald!

I have this problem, coupled with a head full of grey hair which makes me look even more like I'm balding when the grey comes in. I've started taking Biotin (it's whatever is the super popular one on Amazon, it's I'm a coconut oil pill) and I think maybe it's helping.

Huh. I tried the Bumble & Bumble colored spray and it hardly did anything. I hardly ever return a product that I've tried but I returned this spray. I wonder if Ron Popeil's colored hairspray is still around? Lol.

I used the wrong word, I got the wrong 100 pt perk. There actually were no samples in the box but that's besides the point. I'm assuming they will refund the 100 pts but the only reason I even placed the order was to get the perk.

The Bite spring set with the two multisticks and gloss is super nice! Cashew has been on my wish list since I swiped it last year, and I was curious about the gloss, so all and all, it was a good value for me, especially because Gelato seems to work well with my skin tone.

I mixed in a little bit of Pastille the other day and it looked fine. 

I'm thinking about wearing it tomorrow with the gloss on top! We'll see.

It's such a pretty set, The mirror is meh but I don't really care for it....I want the lip stuff!

They just sent me a box with zero samples in it, despite there being three on my order confirmation

I wore the YSL glossy stain today. It's perfection. It looks like a gloss, but isn't sticky. And it wears well. LOVE.

Side note: why did NARS lip pencils go up another dollar? #annoyed
