About to pull the trigger on one but the wait for delivery is so long that I can probably be talked out of it. Ha.
I know there are a lot of options out there to get a different bike and use the app and tablet, etc. but if I'm going to get a spin bike, its going to be the Peloton.
I'm a runner and have a treadmill that I use regularly in crap weather. I want something to cross train with and a way to work out with friends again.
Update: I just ordered it. Should be here in July but sooner if possible. Figured the 30 day free trial with free pick up and full refund makes it easier to go ahead and try it out.
And a heads up- they give a discount for healthcare workers. You get free shoes, ear buds, and weights. Better deal than the discount code I had from a friend. The friend gets the $100 credited to her account and I told her to place an order for shoes for my H
I am constantly telling people it is the single best purchase I’ve ever made. I do a variety of their workouts 5-6 days/week (I just did my 100th ride today!) and I’ve lost almost 15 lbs in 3 months. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat and it was worth every penny.

We got ours delivered on December 26th and don’t regret it at all. It’s so incredibly nice to get in a good workout in your own home. And the variety of classes is awesome. Today I did a 30 minute ride then a quick 10 minute stretching class. DH and I both use it, each at least 4 times per week.
You might check out the Echelon. They are sold online but also Best Buy, Costco, Academy Sports, there is even a less expensive version at Walmart, with many places in stock. Most models are b-y-o tablet, but some include a deal on a tablet.

Everyone I know who has one loves it. We considered it but ultimately did not want to spend the asking price plus membership fee. If you’re open to other options, we went with the Schwinn IC4 plus a new iPad to add various cycling apps (including the Peloton app for a lower monthly fee). Came out to $1k less even with the new iPad.
I love mine - definitely worth it if you can afford/get one! I’ve had mine about a year and a half. I had to take a few months off due to exercise restrictions and have just been able to start again, taking my 200th class Saturday. It’s so easy to hop on and fit it in, and I do strength classes etc as well

Do it!! We love ours.
It’s so much more than just the bike. It made my husband start working out (which is a big feat!). We ordered it around New Years but use it more now that I can’t also go to orange theory.

Still love it.
Mine was delivered January 14th. I am not an exercise person, at all. Never have been and have failed at countless different tries. This hasn’t been an overnight change either, I started using it daily, then slacked off a bit when I hurt my back and and am still getting back up to a routine; however, I have not given up and still really enjoy it. I use it about 3-4 times a week right now and love the variety of classes, how engaging they are and how the bike feels like great quality and fun to ride.
I actually just got off after riding for an hour lol. I'm obsessed still and I've had mine for almost two years now. It's been a life saver the last two months! I slacked a little the first 6 months, but I'm no good without a plan...I started doing Power Zone challenges in January of last year and I'm hooked on them. I'll hit my 450th ride on Saturday.
I’ve had mine for a few weeks. I love it but I’m not using it as much as I had envisioned. I thought I’d be able to get a good ride in before my virtual gym session, but I’ve realized that I don’t have the energy for both. I’m having trouble figuring out a schedule for my gym vs the peloton. Honestly, after my gym’s quarantine challenge is over, I’ll probably cancel my membership and solely use the peloton.
I haven’t been able to use mine for several months due to pregnancy complications but I have had it for about 18 months and am so anxious to get back to it. Especially with little kids and a busy schedule, it is SO nice to be able to squeeze in a really great workout in a limited amount of time and without leaving your house.
No, love it now more than ever. Have had it a little over a year and a half. The wait is worth it. Once you have your date call and see if you can get put on a cancelation list. Make sure you get a referral code.
Absolutely never regretted it. I got it in December and even before the shelter in place I loved it. However, I think if you got a nicer spin bike with a resistance and cadence sensor, you could replicate the experience of having the bike somewhat closely (that's what my sister does). The reddit peloton forum has tons of info about the DIY setups people use.

I've had mine since Feb 2019 (after debating it a few months) and I love it, obviously more since SIP. I'm at over 400 rides but since March I've been doing more of the strength classes which are really good. Even if your delivery date is June/July, I think you need to ask yourself if you'll even want to go back to gyms if the stay at home orders are lifted in your area. I know I won't, at least for a long time. So this really is an investment longer term. Get some dumbbells if you plan on doing the strength classes, btw.
Many ppl are happy with a diff bike + app but I'm one that prefers on screen metrics and the leaderboard really pushes me to work harder so the Peloton was very worth it for me.
ETA: I've ridden it every day for over 2 months. Different classes have different focuses so it's not like you're doing the same workout every day. Some are just for fun, others are climbs/heavy rides, others are a mix of HIIT and hills, etc. Nice variety.
I stopped using it for 6 months but I just started again this week. We recently moved in with my MIL while gut rehabbing our house and I needed an outlet. Even when I wasn’t using it I didn’t regret it though. I love the classes - I was just in a funk. My 6 year old has started riding, too.
rikki. He’s 6?! My boys just turned 8, so I shouldn’t be surprised at how fast time goes, but I remember when we both lived in the same neighborhood and talked strollers.
My two have started running with me- we did 5 miles yesterday- and I bet they would love riding, too.

We’ve had ours since September and still love it. Just hit my 100th ride last week. My H hasn’t used it much but he’s recovering from neck/spine surgery and just got the ok to lightly bike so he’s going to start using it, so I’m extra glad we have it now since a gym isn’t an option.
I started with the app about a month ago with a different bike. The peleton wouldn’t have been delivered until July, and I needed something ASAP or I was going to lose my damn mind. I love the rides with the app and imagine I’d love it a bit more with an actual peleton!
Guys, stop it. I've already got a fold up rower, small equipment like weights, and a full-size treadmill that I love using the Peloton app with, and have been so tempted by the bike. I don't have room for another thing!

Do it.
I'm going to keep going with the ways Peloton has changed my life:
-I've lost almost 15 lbs since Nov. (I am postpartum with DS2, but still. I lost basically nothing in the 3 years after DS1)
-I'm so much happier even given this shithole situation we're in.
-I went from having almost daily neck and back pain to nothing. Literally nothing. I was considering starting PT 3 times a week, but didn't need to.
-I am sick so much less.
Love my bike.
ETA: Yes, other workouts would have the same result, but this one has been easy to do and stick with even with an 8 month old. And fun! And motivating!

This is how it happens! If you have space and can afford it, then do it! I have never been a “cycle” person, but I’ve really enjoyed my bike. It’s been amazing for my injured knee.

This has me so wanting to buy but it’s just not in the budget right now
@villainv, icedcoffee, ugh, fine, I'm putting it on my birthday wishlist. I really love their treadmill runs (especially Robin, I love her so much) and have been doing those nearly daily, but I'm starting to feel it in my knees.
