Noooooo. I LOVE mine! We bought ours in January and I'm so glad that we did with all that's going on right now. We all get exercise and David rides it for an hour a day, which he really needs being stuck at home. Since I can't do my Pilates class, it's really forced me into using the app and I'm so impressed with how much I love the classes. I like that I can do a quick 10 or 20 minute strength training workout before my ride.
Related: I am so irritated that the air conditioning in our brand new house is nonfunctional because I’m worried it’ll be too damn hot in here to get a ride in after the kids go to bed.

Do you have fans you can set up around you? We have one near the bike, set up on a table so it's at a height that hits our face. It'd be nice if you had two or three you could set up if your AC isn't working. I hate being hot when I work out!
Following because I secretly want one just because everyone else has one. But I also have anxiety that my hyper-curious toddler will explore and hurt himself. Then out of nowhere, my husband said he wants one because he will basically be WFH until who knows. We discussed the bike could be in his office room as that’s the least likely place DS would try to go.
I need to go on the website and look into these bikes and all the other options you all posted. I do have a gym membership to the Y about 4 blocks away but I’ve only gone about 3 times in 3 years for exercise l. I also have a stupid amount of weight to lose. I probably need this.
Yeah, I definitely think there's a ton of great bike options out there. I just jumped on the bandwagon with this one without much thought. It was a total impulse buy that has really paid off.

I got a standing fan with a remote that I set up in front of mine. It’s really helpful - even with our AC sometimes i need to turn that fan on in the middle of my ride lol

I had a ceiling fan installed in the room where I use my peloton because I was so hot, lol. And I open the window (even in like frigid temps) because I haaaate being hot when I workout. I fully expect to buy a standing fan soon because even with the ceiling fan and AC now, I’m still hot. I’d definitely recommend ordering a fan (or three).
Also, you can have as many users as you want on the $39 membership. My whole family uses it, plus 2 of my best friends.
Glad you made the purchase OP. I have had mine for 3 years and love it. I have even been to "homecoming" weekend in NYC once. And I have visited their NYC studios multiple times when I was in New York for other things. It's really a special company.
I took a class this past winter with Cody at the studio in NYC. I wasn't a fan of his class, but the bike was a nice change from my usual running workout
God damnit. Can anyone PM me a Peloton referral code?
I think I've lost my mind.
It only works on accessories and they wouldn't let me use it for the 2nd tier package that I wanted. It had to be spent on accessories. But I didn't use it because I got a better deal by being a healthcare professional in case that's an option for you.

It worked for me on the package with shoes and weights.
Update because it’s so interesting: I rode even sans a/c. So sweaty. I already sweat so much when I ride, this was just gross. Luckily it was a 45 min Power Zone Endurance ride, so it could have been muuuuuch worse.

Isn’t it still cold where you are? We turned our AC off on Sunday.the high is 67 today! Crack open some windows!

I am so over this weather though.
It was 80 yesterday and, by evening it was hotter in here than it was outside. Luckily the next couple of days are going to just be high 60s so we’ll be golden! Hopefully they can come fix it before it gets hot again.

Ugh. Yeah that’s too hot. One of my neighbors just got a Peloton and they have it in the garage and I just keep wondering how the eff they plan to use it in like 2 weeks when it’s 90 degrees with 60% humidity. I love walking by with the dog and hearing the instructors though. LOL

For everyone with a bike, if you don't have a designated exercise room, where is it? Mine has been in the play room (not ideal, but worked well), now we're turning that into DD's bedroom so I need to move it. I think the only option is our bedroom, which I'm not excited about.

Ours is just in a corner in our basement. So far so good! I guess in some ways it’s an exercise room now though. LOL. Do you have a guest room? That might work?

I live in Texas where there are no basements so that was my biggest hurdle to ordering a bike. I made room in the TV room upstairs. It's not ideal because someone is always in that room but I really didn't want it in my bedroom which was the only other option.
fryjack2 - we got the family package and was able to use the referral discount code. I believe the $100 credit only works in the boutique shop for the other person.
gerberdaisy - we are just putting it in a corner of our bedroom since we live in a tiny city semi. Our basement ceilings are super low and we have no room on the main floor. Although I am now regretting putting DS in the bigger room and keeping the smaller one with closets lol.
We get ours in a week! I am super pregnant but hoping I can do some scenic rides until I have this baby.

We are putting it in our bedroom. I preferred the basement, but DH wanted the elliptical down there instead and thinks we don’t have room for the bike down there too (I know we have room, sigh). He agrees that no matter what time I wake up to do a workout, he will have to deal. We will see how long this lasts lol.

Our basement isn't finished, so that doesn't really work. Although H is trying to convince me that I should still put it down there, but would literally never get used. We don't have a guest room, so that's a no go. H refuses to have it anywhere visible, so bedroom is only option I guess. He'll just have to deal with it, since he's the one who sleeps in. I really wish we had a bigger house, one more room!

We have a guest room and a home office (technically just the third bedroom) that will work. I'm going to put it in the guest room because that's where our extra TV is and because it will separate it a bit from the office and general living space, both places I already spend a lot of time these days. The bike I have, the Schwinn IC4, does not have an integrated screen. Our basement has like 6.5 foot ceilings, so not great for standing on a bike.
Mine is in the living room of our two bedroom apt. No other place for it. I am trying to convince H to buy a house with a finished basement, partly so I can have a private exercise area.
One of my friends has her's in her bedroom and the other has her's in her office/guest bedroom. They don't really take up much space, but the one with the bedroom bike uses earbuds since she works out early morning. Mine is in a separate room, but I also use earbuds because I workout after DD goes to bed and the room shares a wall with her bedroom.
One thing I think is worth mentioning is that I have found they do a good job with different styles of instructors. I have taken cycling classes for a long time and there is definitely a variety of ways teachers approach classes. Some of my friends prefer instructors I don't like, and vice versa. I would suggest trying different people and seeing what you like. Not only different instructors, but different types of classes (HITT, low impact, music, etc.) can impact how much you like it. Overall I highly recommend the Peloton.
We had ours in David's game room since there's a TV in there and plenty of space. When all of this went down and H needed the game room back for his office, we moved it into the living room. I actually love it much better in the living room. There's more air flow and I feel less closed-in. We never have anyone over these days, so who cares? We'll probably move it back when all of this is over. One day.

I don't regret getting ours at all. I like the bike but I also like the full integration of workouts (running, yoga, meditation, strength even foam rolling and stretching) on the platform. I'd say that I'm primarily a runner but the platform has opened me up to these other forms of movement which is pretty nice.
When you get the bike, it has all the basic stuff, but if you are into data you can hook it up to a HRM and do an FTP test that then brings the bike to a whole new level. I did the FTP test and I'm obsessed with it now. I think it makes the rides and your progress so much more fun--and I didn't have to do anything after the FTP test to plug in the data. It did it all for me which was awesome. Once I did that--now I ride in a different way and view the instructors in a different way.
This isn't about the bike, but I like the strength workouts a lot and I like the yoga and do it much more than..really I ever have done yoga in my entire life. This morning I did a little bit of sun salutations on my own lol.

mine is in my office. It’s a decently small foot print so it’s not bad having it in small spaces

Garage. I made it into a home gym since I'm going to cancel OTF and my gym membership.
