DS has been waiting for a certain computer graphics card for well over a year. He just “won” a chance to buy it on Newegg today and was thrilled. Prior to that, they’d sell out in a fraction of a second whenever they came in stock at different places. It should be here Wednesday.
The price of Lucky Charms had me buying Aldi brand this week instead of my usual splurge on the real stuff. Sad day. I need to find a General Mills coupon before I shop again. 😂
Do you live near Publix? General Mills was on BOGO a few days ago, not sure if it still is.

I used to live a couple blocks from the beach in Long Beach, and I grew up in another pretty big port city. So I've seen freighters lined up awaiting a berth and think nothing of it, just background notice. Seeing aerials of Long Beach/LA are blowing my mind.

I cannot find the post nor do I have the time to dig.
DeSantis is full of shit just as I suspected. MIA has a 20+ day wait for free drivers and is running critically low on chassis. To make this more understandable. If you called today and requested someone to move a load it would be 20 days before you can get on the schedule. The good news is most major importers know this and pre-book drivers weeks/months in advanced. The issue is moving empties to free chassis. So no, FL cannot handle more traffic. I am sure they can make accommodations to help some of the congestion. Unfortunately, they are moving the target and not fixing the problem.

I haven't run into much that I personally need and can't get, but a friend who's a coffee roaster here said they're starting to have problems importing raw beans due to the shortage of containers, and costs are way up. I might have to buy kilos and kilos of coffee now before it's too late!

mysteriouswife , I really appreciate your perspective in these threads. Thank you for taking the time. We need people like you more than ever right now!
ETA: Something we did NOT have an issue getting, that surprised me: Tires. DH had a specific set that he wanted to put on my minivan for better traction in snow, and wanted to have them on before Thanksgiving. We called the shop earlier this week and they were able to get them the next day, and we got my van in today to have them put on.
Clothing was covered a million pages back. It’s so bad right now. I know for sure there are some shoes sitting in the Pacific begging to get on some feet right now. Lol
Yeah, I know it's been covered, I guess I just needed to reiterate and also vent? lol. Sorry, random angry clients, we are also running out of stuff! Maybe switch to monthly Fixes instead of weekly? /cry
Vent away. That prior response was weird...not sure it was meant how it came across but whatever as mentioned vent away.
I haven’t read all 12 pages, however I need to know WHY Coke Zero is now nearly $6/12 pack at my Target and never goes on sale anymore. People, I need Coke Zero!!

I almost never buy soda (other than seltzer) and I could not believe how expensive a 2 liter of Diet Coke is. $2.29?!? I remember when that stuff was 79 cents for a 2 liter! :::taps cane:::

It was weirdly put on my part. I’m sorry. I was agreeing in a weird about way.

It’s rarely at Costco anymore, either 😩
I can’t find Sprite Zero cans at all.
Aluminum is in short supply and transport is expensive
Ikea was out of so much stuff today. The two main furniture things we needed were out of stock and can't be purchased online. There were tons of empty shelves in the downstairs part.
I think I lamented earlier about not being able to find inexpensive maternity outwear, which is still nowhere to be found, so I ordered a regular one in a bigger size from Costco and got an email the other day that it is delayed. I'm trying to decide at what point I just give up and spend the next few months being cold, because by the time I can probably get a coat I will only have a couple months to go.

Have you looked on Facebook marketplace? Where I live the only place that sells maternity clothes is Ross which is so hit or miss so I resorted to Facebook for a lot of my maternity clothes. I've also heard good things about Shein.

I probably should check out secondhand. I have never heard of Shein but just checked it out, and they have some really cute stuff, both maternity and baby clothes. Thank you!
I need ham like water Like breath, like rain I need ham like mercy From Heaven's gate Sometimes ham salad or casserole or ham that’s free range, all natural I need ham

I remember when my mom would refuse to buy it if it was $1.29

I second FB but for look for a mom buy, sell, trade group. I mean, it's basically the most hardcore kind of FB group (our local one has three pages of rules) and can be drama but I bet the mommies will probably have your back on this. Ours allows "looking for" posts.
A pregnant friend just told me she can't find a crib, which has to be so frustrating.

If you live near Publix, every so often Coke 2 Liter products go Buy 2, get 2 free. Maybe it's an Atlanta area only deal, but it's worth keeping an eye out. I stock up. (Atlanta is home to Coke, and some stores do more promos here it seems.)
