I submitted all of my employer forms a while back (1st one just over 2 months ago) and my account still says that they are not tracking my payments. I know it can take a while but I feel like I am doing something wrong? Do I just need to be patient?
Based on what I can see on the FB page, they seem to be processing forms from December and people who apppied in November are part of the current forgiveness batch. I don't know exactly when it Dec.
If you want to call, today is a good day to do it with low wait times. My hunch is just to wait a few more weeks and you'll see movement of some sort.
I finally caved and called today and I'm really glad I did.
I have been getting so frustrated by people who applied way after me getting forgiveness - not frustrated that they were forgiven - I'm thrilled for them, but frustrated that mine seem to have been forgotten. So I called - less than 5 minute wait time because most people think they're closed today.
Turns out that my most recent ECF submitted 11/23, that has a corrected signature for my 8 year employer and will put me way over 120 payments was marked "as a duplicate" and glossed over. The woman I spoke with put it in for review, and said I should have results from that in 10-15 business days. I also asked if my account had already been sent to Dept of Ed for waiver review, and she said it had - so fingers crossed once this ECF is approved it all happens quickly.
Once again I'm feeling so annoyed but also cautiously hopeful.
I am having similar feelings of frustration because I submitted everything October. Who did you call?

Thank you! I need to join that FB group. I'm trying to be patient and trust the process but man it's hard lol.

Super hard after all of the nonsense they've pulled on us for years. And for 99% of people it seems to be working as designed. I am, of course, part of the 1% who is still having issues because that's my luck.

My final paperwork was submitted in the first week of January and it said it could take up to 90 days (and I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes longer on my simple situation of the same job 2007-current, wrong payment plan). If you submitted in November or it’s been more than 90 days I would call, just to see if there’s any issues you could help resolve to speed up the process.

Fingers crossed it gets resolved for you soon, sounds like a positive update at least from your phone call

Thanks, it hasn't quite been that long yet - I have 3 employers and I submitted 2 in Dec and one in Jan (they took forever to get the form back to me, ugh)

I just gave them a quick call, she said they are currently 90-120 days behind on processing applications so mine haven't been looked at yet. I figured, but it also helps to know that I'm in good shape and just need to keep waiting.
I also called and received a similar response. The woman I spoke to said my 90-120 days started 12/1, which at least gave me a frame of reference ( I submitted my paperwork in October) I’m crossing everything for all of us!

That FB group is ALOT to be honest. I don't think you'd gain anything from joining that we haven't already covered her - just my opinion!
Honestly it's just a test of patience which is SUPER hard. I submitted everything mid-Oct and was just forgiven a couple of weeks ago. I would classify mine as a very easy case - I have been consolidated since day 1 and only have 1 employer to certify. The only thing I had to do was submit my application and sit back and wait for them to transfer my loans from Mohela (which they took care of) and then just wait but it was still hard. It almost felt like it was too easy and I was waiting for someone to be all "nah, just kidding, not you" but logically I knew that wouldn't happen. So it's just a waiting game.
Now I wait and see if I get any sort of refund - in theory I should but I don't know. It's sounding like it's a couple of months for refunds to happen. I missed the window of logging in and seeing any sort of a negative balance so I have no idea. Of course I want one but I'm also just glad to be done paying!!!
gretchenindisguise, thanks for checking in! I’d finally received a FB message back from FedLoan that the transfer could take 30-90 days…when it had already been 90 days. 🤦♀️I did get a call today that I couldn’t take, but she followed up with an email that they are now in transfer status. I also called and spoke with the Ombuds team there, and it sounds like I got thrown into a limbo hold because my ECFs were signed before my FFEL loans consolidated, but I also have the loans at Mohela. Anyway, it does sound like the inquiry got it unstuck, so that’s great!

I'm looking at my Fedloan stuff, but I have no idea how to see where I'm at in the process. My consolidation was completed, but otherwise, I don't know where to look.

Do you have a Loan Details tab? Or do you see a Track my Progress box near the bottom of the Account Summary page?

That was me until today, when the PSLF tracker appeared on my FedLoan homepage. It shows zero payments, but I know that’s waiting for the DOE to give them my waiver payment counts.

I think I didn't see anything until maybe a week or so after my transfer went through.

Have you sent in your employer certification form as well? I just uploaded mine last week, and even though I know it might take a bit, I'm checking obsessively every day to see if they've done anything with it.

Ugh, that's so frustrating that you were in limbo for so long. I'm glad we're both seemingly out of it now, hopefully we'll get good movement soon!
My other loans still haven’t moved from Mohela, but I did get a letter today that my employment is approved, so that’s exciting! I’ve been in repayment status (and paid) since 2008, so hopefully it’s easy to apply the waiver.
There was an interesting post in the fb group from someone who’d paid ahead on FFEL loans and requested a refund for what she’s overpaid when she consolidated, and Navient (I think?) said they would process it. I had been paying ahead on those too, because my interest on those was like 4.5%. I’m sure it’s too late for me on that, but I thought I’d share in case anyone else was in that position and hadn’t yet consolidated.

More movement!
I had updated counts this morning. They are now showing every month I've been in repayment since the beginning of my repayment journey in 11/2008, from before consolidation and before I was with fedloan. Any month where I was "in repayment" eligible, even if I was also in forbearance for a different reason at some point that month (i.e. administrative forbearance for income recertification). All of my time with DLS/ACS is showing and accurate.
Then they had the audacity to send a note saying "still interested in pslf, your employment is only counted as of 11/2012 - send us a new form!" I'm all "I did m-fers. I sent it back in Nov 2021 and you decided to mark it as duplicate and didn't process it. PROCESS IT!"
Once they do finally process it (quoted 8-10 business days last Monday) - I should be immediately eligible for forgiveness and a decent sized refund. We shall see how quickly it goes once they approve that ECF.

My H’s loans have been consolidated, and the amount owed appears double currently, but i understand that is part of the process. So it is exciting to see movement!
Ok douche, go ahead and call it mud. My husband DID have halitosis. We addressed it after I talked to you girls on here and guess what? Years later, no problem. Mofongo, you're a cunt. Eat shit. ~anonnamus

omg you guys.
I don't have a letter showing my ecf being processed, but those months are now showing as eligible in the tracker. Every single month I think I should have is showing. I have trophies. It says "you're eligible for forgiveness". I cannot believe after this long and winding path I am finally finally finally here.
It's not official yet. It hasn't been zeroed out yet, but it's coming!!

I was able to make a fedloan account! It doesn't say much though. However Aidvantage shows a balance of 0 and says my loans have been transferred. I'm guessing they're somewhere in cyberspace traveling to Fedloan now. I hope the rest of this happens quickly!

I think I was in this phase for about a week or a little longer.

gretchenindisguise - you need to make your own thread when your loans finally get forgiven so we can all celebrate and it doesn't get lost in this monster thread lol you've been so helpful to everyone in this thread and had to put up with a bunch of hurdles, I will personally feel relief when your loans are forgiven lol

Hahaha.
It's the worst today because the kids are out of the house and H is actually at work and I'm just kind of sitting here pacing and checking and screaming internally.
