I still want Warnock to win Georgia both because Herschel Walker is awful and I don’t want Manchin to be able to play such a big role in the caucus. But having the Senate makes me feel so much better - no reconciliation shenanigans by the GOP, and we can confirm judges.
My desire to see a Warnock win is only slightly stronger than my desire to see Walker as a proxy for the Rs crash and burn. With no possibility of gaining control now I bet the Rs don’t put a penny into that race.
I’m almost feeling the opposite - I wonder if they’ll totally flood it to try to hold on to the joint power sharing agreement and prevent VP Harris from being available to effectively govern and campaign for the next 2 years. We avoid a lot of bullshit having even a tiebreaker majorty but it is far from ideal and those fuckers know that.

I'd love to see them just waste a boatload of their money on a losing effort. I forgot where the article I read yesterday was, but it was about the tactical PAC spending and the GOP disagreements on which races to focus their money on - so interesting on how it played out, but OMG, the $$$$ spent (wasted?). Absolute insanity.

Christopher Bouzy, who everyone was calling crazy earlier this week, but who correctly called every Senate race but OH, is still holding firm with Dems getting 219 in the House.

He's my favorite Twitter find in the past year. Guy is brilliant with numbers.

Dave Wasserman seems more skeptical based on recent vote batches out of California.

Praying the Bouzy is right, though.
I love Wasserman, but Bouzy has been more right this election.
I'm jealous of all these results coming in on a weekend. Our county elections office was closed for veterans day on Friday and isnt working the weekend. So they wont finish counting until at least Monday night.

Wasserman basically calling out Bouzy with his, dems aren't on track tweet. 🙄 Whatever, the dems still did so damn well this cycle.
I mean, Bouzy might ultimately be wrong about keeping the house with 219. But Wasserman was wrong enough about enough races this year where Bouzy was right that I don't think that call-out was particularly warranted or persuasive.
I'm actually super happy about this year and super proud of what the Dems did either way, but I find it funny how many of the people that predicted so wrongly are now dunking on the guy that predicted correctly.

I bet they are particularly embarrassed that a random guy on twitter got so much right and they go so much wrong.

I'm so fucking relieved about Arizona.
I know lots of people are bummed about not taking the house, but I think we need to remember how much was accomplished in this election and then keep pushing HARD for 2024. Complacency will be the death of us.
Disappointing but not surprising. At least they will have a very small majority.
I know they can still cause a lot of problems with investigations and shutting down the government, but I'm so relieved D's managed to hang on to the Senate.
