I just saw that Cathy Latham has filed to have the case moved to federal court one the basis that she was following the direction of trump and his counsel. As despicable as she is I hope the group starts turning on him and providing more evidence.

I really hate that he lied about his height and weight because I don’t want to mock anyone for that and it feels crappy to me, but I also derive joy from his insecurities.

I honestly didn’t consider it mocking those things as much as pointing out again that he’s a lying liar who lies.

I don’t mean you specifically. I got a chuckle out of your post because it was just pointing out that he’s a liar. But there are a lot of memes out there that are fat shaming and I feel uncomfortable because I don’t like mocking anyone for their body but I hate him so much that I find myself liking a post or a meme and going well, shit. This doesn’t feel right.

Is there a way to watch the Meadows hearing this morning? I’m not seeing any “Watch the hearing live here” teasers or links. I’m going to look at local Atl TV stations next but I can’t be the only person wanting to watch

A short trip back to T's measurements - I weigh and measure people ALL DAY. It's one of the things I do most at my job. There is NO way he's being truthful, with either measurement. *gavel*

what do you think his real weight is then? in the 300s?

Judge Trump on EVERYTHING he has DONE, which is a lot, and yes this is likely one more lie to add to the enormous pile. He is a lying liar who lies. But can we stop with trying to nail down how much he weighs, his measurements, etc? I am not trying to be so above it all, but come on.

is normally be here, but lying about something so blatantly obvious guess to how shit he is and will lie about everything.
It's like saying he had the biggest inspiration crowd when there's photo evidence he did now.
It's not wrong to be shorter, and it's not wrong to be heavier. It's the lying about it that's ridiculous. It does he thinks it's wrong. And that he'll like about even the most minor things. His usual mo

I agree, he will lie about anything, we ALREADY know this. Why continue to speculate as to what his actual weight is? What is the point?

Coming in super late here, but in reading through the recaps on WaPo tonight it sounds like no cameras, laptops, or recording devices were allowed in the courtroom. The Post's reporter made it sound like her only opportunities to update the story happened during recesses when she could run out of the room to frantically post updates.

On my part, anyway, there is no point. It's idle conversation because sometimes I need to look away from the horrific shit.

My guess is at least 275. He might be 5’10”, but yeah… close to 300.
Regardless, it doesn’t matter. He just needs to be held accountable for his actions.
Who gives a shit what his real weight is?!? We could create a separate post with a poll and all guess..what does it matter as it relates to the important topics at hand? We will never know the truth and I don’t care.
Reporting is saying that Mark Meadows did a really good job of implicating Trump today.
And really, himself, too.
From what I've been reading, I'm starting to wonder if he knew he was committing crimes, because he surely wouldn't be this confident admitting what he did if he knew. And then I wonder what his lawyers are thinking letting him talk like this.

I keeping thinking of all of those regular Rs who came into the Trump administration in the first year or two who wrote “tell all” books saying that Trump was frustrated that they didn’t do what he said to do .. because it was illegal. Like, Trump was MAD that they didn’t do it - and they quit or got fired. For example, one of the chief of staff didn’t put things on Trump’s desk or distracted him, or put stuff under other papers. It made it look like Trump was a buffoon, but it was also a little like preventing T from doing illegal stuff. Book after book said this stuff.
The whole RICO indictment basically boils down to a LOT of people willing to do a lot of illegal shit - on TV, in front of cameras, with contemporaneous notes of meetings and actual memos of plans. I remember watching Giuliano and Powell and thinking “this can’t be legal”. And it wasn’t. How can Mark Meadows possibly defend himself with “I didn’t know I was committing crimes?” Is that even a legitimate defense?

It's a defense if "willful" or something similar is one of the elements of the crime. Usually it isn't. (Murder is murder even if you think it's fine. Things like the most severe charges for tax fraud need an element of understanding. See Wesley Snipes.)
They all committed crimes, and if they knowingly did it or not won't help them.
But I wonder if they all would have committed the crimes if they had believed it was a crime.
I can absolutely believe this (the not believing they were crimes), but that is the basically the whole point of why electing Trump and his merry band of morons is such a bad idea from the start. These people are not highly intelligent and in addition to being not quite bright, they lack moral compass and critical thinking skills. Most people's radar would be pinging when stuff like this is suggested, even if not positive that it rises to the level of actual criminal activity, knowing it's not quite right and can't *really* be allowed. People with legitimate experience, those who are actually interested in governing...even if their ideologies are crappy, they know what it legal and illegal and what envelopes can be pushed and how far. There are seemingly a small number of that brand of "bad" GOP'ers left, IMO, and they keep trying to fill their ranks with the outrageous, Trumpian-level of miscreants. Who will keep getting into this shit. Notice how Mitch McConnell isn't part of this, right? He's THE WORST, but he isn't stupid.

And that's exactly why having political experience isn't a terrible thing. Inheriting real estate doesn't teach anything that is required for running a country.
