Harris will be doing a Fox News interview. I’ll nervous for her on this one. I hope she kills it.
My knee-jerk reaction is that I don't think this is wise; I don't think she should do an interview with someone who's only interested in playing "gotcha!".
I haven’t seen HS in many many years so in general, I have no idea. But I did watch this interview and it was good. It was a mix of political along with questions about her musical taste, how she met Doug, etc. He also strongly dislikes Trump and is very rah-rah about Harris so he teed up a bunch of softball political questions. It was not a hard hitting interview by any stretch but it was a good watch.

Pete Buttigieg kills it on Fox on a regular basis. he should be in charge of prepping her again.

My Harris sign was stolen off my front lawn yesterday. Luckily I have connections locally, so today I put up signs for Harris, Andy Kim (senate hopeful) and Frank Pallone (my congressman). Steal one, 3 more appear. And I made another donation in the asshole thief’s honor.

If she’s going to take on Putin, she needs to be able to take on Fox News. Trump is one of the hardest people ever to debate and she killed it. She also took Kavaugh by surprise during his confirmation hearings and he is as slippery as they come.
This interview is probably the only way to reach Republicans who previously voted for Trump but aren’t so sure this time around because of January 6 and his lack of lucidity. They say they won’t commit to voting for Kamala Harris “because they don’t know her” but if their only news sources are conservative they’ll never hear from her directly.
I’m not worried at all about her doing an interview with Fox. As long as it’s not one of their talking/screaming heads, I think she’ll be fine, even with edits.
I think Fox is starting to see the writing on the wall.
FU on Fox interview. I think it will be fine... She may pick up some support, and things will always be taken out of context/twisted.
The interview, with Fox News’s chief political anchor, Bret Baier, will take place near Philadelphia on Wednesday, shortly before it airs at 6 p.m. Eastern on Mr. Baier’s program, “Special Report.” Ms. Harris is expected to sit for 25 to 30 minutes of questions, the network said.
More anecdotes from the field but I have been in and driven to rural Ohio numerous times in the past six months. I am finally starting to see signs of life from the Harris campaign, her signs are popping up here and there, and they are not the total anomaly they were several weeks ago. She even now just this week has a billboard on the east-heading west end of the Pennsylvania turnpike to counter the numerous displays along the way supporting him.

Joe Rogan may be widely listened to, but he's a complete pos and doesn't deserve the legitimacy she would lend.
Yes, I realize my hatred of him may make this an irrational distinction.
I completely agree. Fuck that guy.
I agree that he’s a POS…but I think this just shows that she’s willing to do anything to keep Trump from the Oval Office. I think seeing her interact 1:1 with some pretty vile people who might really dislike her will show that she IS the right person for the job. As POTUS, you HAVE to be able to sit down with the worst of the worst, have a conversation, and find a way forward. If she’s not scared to take on Putin, she’s sure as heck not scared to take on Joe Rogan!

Or she'll be legitimizing an anti-vax, transphobic, racist piece of shit.
I don't see giving a platform to a vile person who has caused serious harm to the people she is supposed to support as really a plus. It's not like she's going to go on there and call him out if she wants to court his audience.
Fox News is terrible but at least they're theoretically a news organization.

He already has a platform, though. He has 11 million listeners. FOX News averages like 2.3 million.
I despise the man, but he is the primary source of news for an alarming number of people, especially men under 40. My SIL and her husband (Trumper idiots) listen to his vile shit all the time. People aren't getting news from news anymore, and that's part of why we've been unable to reach folks in past elections. If we want to burst people's insular bubbles, we have to come to them. They're not suddenly going to decide to watch PBS Newshour themselves. If we're gonna convince these people we have to talk directly to them, or else they'll never even hear us.
I don't think she's gonna aggressively challenge him or anything, but having her talk calmly and rationally about things like abortion rights, immigration, inflation, etc. will genuinely be the first time some of these folks have heard ideas from that perspective.
Ugh... the Joe Rogan interview scares me but I trust that Kamala knows what she's doing. 3 more weeks....
I'd like to think that even an asshole like him will be respectful and somewhat humbled to have the VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES on his crappy show.
Am glad she is doing it and if she can do Joe Rogan, she should. this race seems way too tight for us to feel comfortable and if she has to go on shit shows to grab some voters, let her. She needs to go to where the numbers are. That is the only thing she and her team should be thinking about. She has the prosecutor chops, she's not gonna let anyone trap her. She should do Sean Hannity, Laura - all of them. Take all the fuckers on for the numbers.
I can't believe that there are still people out there that don't know who they are voting for. I do believe there are people who don't know if they're going to vote at all, and I think a good portion of those are Joe Rogan followers. I don't think her going on the podcast is going to hurt, and it might help. If nothing else, she's going to be in front of 17ish million people.

I can believe that people really dislike Trump, but aren’t self-aware enough to realize how much their racism and misogyny is driving away from harris And pick up every little reason not to vote for her.
People, voters, and the media already all know who he is and how he’s behaving. Shouting more from the rooftops about Trump’s unfitness to occupy the office won’t change any minds, no matter how much further off the rails he goes…

I want to believe this. That's why I said my hatred of him might be making me irrational.
But I also think there's a very good chance she'll be interupted and shouted down so he can score points against a VP, a woman VP. He's loathsome. And his audience would be even more loyal to him for shutting up that uppity woman.

I do trust she can handle him. You don't get to be a successful prosecutor by being cowed by assholes.

So... he's actually been somewhat pro-Harris lately. He and Trump have an antagonistic relationship. That being said, he did endorse RFK. I don't think Rogan is going to come out guns blazing for her.
And to be clear, I only know this because it's been in mainstream media what Rogan is saying/doing.
I really wish I could get a written transcript of Harris’s talk at the Koinonia Christian Center(?) WITHOUT attributing it to her, so it could be shared.
I think the message would resonante with so many people who think they’re supposed to vote for Trump because that’s what their pastor told them they’re expected to do. She’s been painted as the anti-Christ, but her message was so beautiful. I’d love for people to see that side of her without bringing their baggage of what they think about her.
Not one direct mention of Trump, policies, or the election (that I caught)…just speaking from her heart.
How this woman does not have the VAST majority of Christian votes is something I’ll never understand. (Except that I do…because sects of “Christianity” have become anti-Jesus’ teachings.)
I agree that he’s a POS…but I think this just shows that she’s willing to do anything to keep Trump from the Oval Office.
anything but get her campaign merch out. That has been a massive misstep. those daily moments of seeing this sign or that, a red hat, whatever, are how people gauge how their community feels as much as any poll.

I don’t understand how that has become such a delayed mess. Has her campaign addressed it at all? I wonder if they tried to go through small businesses, but those businesses weren’t at all equipped to handle the capacity.
I’m all for small businesses. I own one myself. But if I was asked to sell my product on a national scale overnight, I’d have to decline. I can’t handle the capacity, and the delay to get more of my product would be too long to be reasonable.
Speaking of swag, I did finally receive my Kamala signature tshirt that I ordered in August. On Friday I got a shipping notice for the other items I ordered, but they are still listed as a label created but not actually received by USPS. I want my swag dammit! 🤣
I finally got my Harris/Wallz yard sign and put it up. I half jokingly said to my daughter, “well, we’re targets now.” I was pleasantly surprised to see two more signs on our street this morning. My daughter said, “Mom, maybe they got brave enough to put them up because we put ours up!” I think they actually just got theirs in the mail too but the kid was so excited I told her she was probably right.

With this in mind, yesterday I learned that Trump sat down with Dave Ramsey, and I've been thinking that the DR audience is another one that should hear from Kamala.

Agreed! They need to hear what an absolute NIGHTMARE the proposed tariffs would be to their precious down-to-the-penny budgets.
However, I’d put the likelihood of Ramsey allowing her on the show to be pretty close to the chances of Putin deciding to give up power. Not going to happen.
