I have a problem in that I didn't think the donation was going through last night, so I tried a couple of times. So far 2 charges have come through. Any more than that I'm going to have to dispute.

I watched the live stream on Youtube and it made me really excited for the election. Obviously I'm limited in participation living outside the US, but I have some local friends who are also US citizens and I will push them to get an absentee ballot and vote in this election.

SAME, because that has been our standard go-to for decades. All of my anxiety was around the chaos I expected. This is a fucking delight. I’m still scared at shit, but I feel like we have momentum.

It doesn’t really matter what she said because it’s all BS and conveniently timed. I did appreciate her saying there must be a two state solution with Palestine being able to self govern and the people be free. Except, Israel has said that a two state solution will never happen and the US has never done anything except support and even fund and arm Israel, despite its continued control and oppression and killing of Palestinians.

Also said she planted trees in Israel. But doesn’t mention the thousands of trees Israel destroys on Palestinian land yearly. She mentioned the awfulness of Hamas, but not the awfulness of Israel. She speaks in the usual way the administration does in not actually using real descriptions of what is happening - people are facing hunger, not the people are being purposefully starved, etc.

No mention of Israel’s war crimes or additional illegal actions in the West Bank and how those are hindering peace.

I will reluctantly vote for her, but it’s purely because I don’t want the other guy in office. Too many other shitty things will happen if he is elected.

She needs to be pressed harder on the issue of Palestine and what's happening now in Gaza.

I’m in tears watching video clips of everything that has transpired since Sunday. I was so frustrated because it felt like everyone was so burned out or not paying attention that the US was about to quietly slide into fascism, when protesting after the fact will not help. I was wondering where all the energy and the people who came out and marched after the 2016 election and the overturning of Roe v. Wade were. Now we have a re-do of 2016 and we are going to have a different result! It’s so encouraging to see how much grass roots activism can change things in less than a week!

My newly minted 18 year old asked me if I’d seen her TikTok. He and his friends love it. She is definitely appealing to a younger audience there.

I was at my parents' community pool yesterday and one of the lifeguards was watching a Kamala TikTok. I couldn't help myself. I was all "are you registered to vote?"

She was. She's voting blue. 💙


I also saw my uncle who hates Trump but absolutely is a Fox News acolyte and he was blathering on about the 25th amendment. I asked if he really wanted to start something. He said no. 🖕🏻

My niece is planning to do this. We live in a solidly blue state, but she'll be going to school in a swing state.
