Taylor Swift is dropping hints on her Social Media that she will be endorsing publicly soon, like a very Kamala looking silhouette behind her in a photoshopped image. Bon Iver performed at the Wisconsin rally today. Taylor once did a surprise appearance duet at a Bon Iver concert and they’ve collaborated on her work. 🪩
I know it’s a big deal to have the biggest star in the world endorse a candidate but she did endorse Biden in 2020 so it’s not exactly shocking.
Hopefully it will get some Swifties out to vote though.

I looked at real clear politics for the latest polling and while I know they don’t tell a full story or are guaranteed it’s amazing to see they have changed from red to blue.
One local free paper ran a rumor that Kamala will show up at during Chappell Roan’s outside Lands set. Can you imagine anyone suggesting that Biden or trump might do that? Or that people would be excited if either did? (I’m guessing trump would get egged if he tried to go on stage at outside lands)
Kamala Harris Is Known Abroad for a Personal Touch, and Tough Talk Heads of state and diplomats who have interacted with the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee say she uses humor, and talk of food, to help leaven hard discussions.

No toss up, Trump still gets 287. I'm hoping there's not much (enogh) polling yet in the swing or toss up states yet.
I love seeing Texas and Florida as “leans.” We can’t give up on these states! On the same lines…we can’t take any of our light blue states for granted.
Nothing is a given in this election and EVERY vote matters. Even in states that are historically solid red/blue. (I’m still not giving up hope for Iowa! Come on, college students and cities…we can do this!)
I was going to order an official lawn sign but 1- possible ship date was weeks out and 2- shipping was almost $18 for a $20 sign. I couldn't do it. What do you all do? Is there some sort of local hook up that I'm not aware of?

Yea I kind of balked at the shipping but still ordered. But google local ad printing companies and I bet they're selling them too.

Same.
In years past I have picked up yard signs for an optional donation fee from the local Democrat offices. However, they're in the same time crunch we are in that they're also not going to get signs until mid-September.

I've also done what pixy0stix mentioned and gotten them from local Dem offices in the past.
Thank you everyone buying yard signs; I'm with you in spirit. I wish H and I felt comfortable putting one up in our red city.
ETA: quit with the pile on everyone. I get it; I should be brave because others are probably Dems too. Unfortunately my family's safety is more important when living among crazy MAGAts. That's my H and my decision based on our experiences in our city.

My neighborhood (20 min N of Dallas) is probably 60/40 or 70/30 for Trump. I just make sure our front door camera catches the whole front yard and put the sign closer up to the front door rather than by the sidewalk so there's less chance someone would feel comfortable enough to come grab it. And we don't park our car out front so there's nothing easy for people to mess with.

Same. I’m not worried about someone stealing the sign. I’m more worried about someone doing harm to our house. We are probably the only democrats in our neighborhood and our backyard backs up to a few people who are Q followers. It’s crazy here.

You made my day! Now to spend that money I'm saving on a t-shirt...
Kamala signature shirt or Free on Wednesdays? Decisions decisions.
My plan has been to give the adults in my life the gift of democracy through early birthday/Christmas gifts in the form of Harris/Walz merch. My conundrum is that the website is asking me for employer information for both the shipping and billing addresses, like it’s going to record everyone as a campaign donor and not just me (who is spending the money). Maybe I’ll ask my family if this would bother them? KamalaHarris.com is her official website, right? Is there another site where merch purchases go to her campaign? WWYD?
eta: I asked my sister and she doesn’t care, my brother wants me to make a straight up donation for him, and I don’t think my parents will care either.

I get it, but you might be surprised! I live in a very red, small town. We're the only ones in the general area that have put up a Dem sign since we moved in. This year, our across the street neighbors we've started talking to more are planning on putting up a sign for the first time, partially because we will be. Another family we know made some comments when the Rs walked by in the parade this summer and I was happily surprised. Again, totally understand, but there might be more blue than you realize!
I really want to go to a Harris / Walz rally but I also feel like it’s better to have swing state voters attending in swing states. AZ would be closest to me. A couple weeks ago, DH asked me if I wanted to go to Phoenix for a long weekend and I said no, because we have a lot going on this week and next (but in reality I could have made it happen). We would have been there tonight during the rally!

I follow a young man named Harry Sisson on social media. He does political commentary and he posted today that 20k people showed up, making it the largest Democrat rally in Az history - for comparison Biden had 10k and Obama had 12k.

I went to the rally in Philly. I waited in line that went around a full city block, all four sides. There were at least double the amount of people behind me than in front. Place seats 10,000; there had to have been 30,000 trying to go. I am pumped by her support.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”

We joked that when we were in our first overseas location (mid 20s) and would often have single younger friends (individually) over for a meal that they were coming out parties. It took a few times before they felt comfortable enough that they could be open they they also were liberal, not homophobic, not bible thumpers.
I imagine that in a neighborhood like yours there's a similar sentiment of not wanting to stand out, but you're giving them courage. Safety in numbers!
Back with Hillary, just days before the election, there were no signs to be had. The local office was not giving them out. However, when I volunteered to knock on doors they gladly gave me one. If you have a good front facing window, that's a great place for a sign that won't get stolen or vandalized.
We got our Biden sign four years ago from our local DNC office. It was stolen. I don’t know if they’re giving them out this time yet. I had considered getting a banner which maybe could be hung between trees our front, but haven’t found one yet. There actually is a place nearby that makes banners, but they have on hanging that leads me to believe they’re Trumpers, so I haven’t checked in there yet.
Our Biden sign was stolen last time so I hand painted one. Then one day a neighbor who I didn’t know previously came by with a brand new one for us.
So you never know! We’re in a very red state as well.
A house near us in 2020 kept having their Biden signs stolen finally they put up a giant one. It was probably 6ft long, the posts in the ground were 2x4s. It didn’t look homemade, I have no idea where they got a sign that big but I got a kick out of it.
